We still have few Metallics, mainly as replacement units for RMA. We'll eventually leave them for sale, but it's not decided yet. Eshop will offer Classics (white).

Hi everybody, it's my pleasure to announce our new eshop at BuyTREZOR.com :-). Price was under what i expected. Should sell reasonably well. hm, 120$+ VAT+shipping for a white plastic one :/ I feel like the plastic is an collector's item only, when thinking about to have it in my pocket together with keys each day. Metal for $99 and I'd have taken at least 3. Since R&D / NRE has been paid, it would be nice to offer it a little bit cheaper than back in the days..

hm, 120$
it is including worldwide shipping. Metal for $99 and I'd have taken at least 3.
It is below pure manufacturing cost of Metallic :-). Since R&D / NRE has been paid
Not yet, we're quite deep in red numbers. See this news and paragraph about our investor. Plus we're still developing new features (don't forget that we've developed myTREZOR just because other wallets were unable to integrate TREZOR on time). Actually SatoshiLabs team has 10+ people and we're developing many new features for TREZOR and surrounding bitcoin infrastructure.

This is not true. We expanded our development quite a lot recently and are eager to implement new features into TREZOR and myTREZOR.

Hi everybody, it's my pleasure to announce our new eshop at BuyTREZOR.com :-). Nice! I want to purchase one but am traveling at the moment. Is there anyway to buy one with a guaranteed shipping date so that I can pick it up on my travels somewhere? Thanks

It would be more convenient to place the order when you'll be back from your travels. We do use national post and unfortunately we cannot ensure exact date of arrival .

Just ordered mine. After reading about all the features I am psyched! Looking forward to its delivery date. I too wish you had metal cases available but understand why this isn't feasible at the moment.
Best of luck gents.

So if someone gets access to my seed but I used a password. The seed its self is not enough to steal any funds right?

quick question:
I currently use a set of 3 USB drives with encrypted wallet copies as my off-site backup. With a trezor, what replication methods are there since I would use the device for 10+ year holding of a wallet? I understand there is a recovery seed - does this mean that if that seed is used i can program a secondary identical trezor to the same wallet?
what protection do i have for that recovery seed being stolen or lost - Could someone steal it and program a trezor themselves to access and steal my wallet contents remotely?

If you lose your Trezor you can take the same (12, 18, 24 words + optional passphrase) seed, enter it into a new Trezor and recover your entire wallet history and all of your BTC. So yes, if someone else gets your (12, 18, 24 word + optional passphrase) seed then they can take all of your BTC. So be sure to keep that information in a very safe place. And for backup all you need to do is keep copies of your seed information offsite in a safe place. The way it works all you need is that seed information to recover everything.

So if someone gets access to my seed but I used a password. The seed its self is not enough to steal any funds right?
Correct. Basically if they enter the seed without the password then they will get a complete (empty) wallet, it will not be your wallet. In fact you can create two (or more) wallets using the same seed but with two (or more) different passwords. This can be very useful in the "gun to your head" situation. If they have the seed but not the password, after holding out for a long enough time to make it convincing, give them your first password that only has a small amount of BTC, but hopefully enough BTC to be convincing. They take that BTC but you still have a majority of your BTC in another wallet created by the same seed but a second password.

Correct. People are sometimes surprised that we recommend using paper and pencil instead of encrypted file in cloud. Actually, for long term storage, paper is many degrees more reliable than any digital media or some cool cloud service. Or that said, do anybody still have any casette reader or floppy drive? I don't have even DVD ROM. But I'm pretty sure anybody will be able to recover master private key from paper & BIP39 specification in >20 years. So - if you worry about long term storage, simply make enough copies of recovery seed and store them on different places.
