Now that my babygirl grew up, I can continue with my involvement in the EGC solar miner and the strato EGC.

It might be worth looking back at the conversations a few weeks ago as a few of us have been trying out other small computers (pine64/CHIP) as possible options for a solar staker as well. The CHIP could be promising as it has lipo charging, wifi and eMMC memory on board.

With my CHIP and a 3000mAh battery I was able to get almost 10 hours of running time. I'm now waiting on a 5000mAh cell to test that (I'd hope it get's over 15 hours reliably). Unfortunately I'm not in a particularly good location for testing solar.

I have  planned to use either a 30A lipo solar battery( need some modification, as the solar panel is only 1.8 Watts) or a 7 A lead-acid battery.

I have them both and with the 30 A lipo batt ( it is a chinese thing, but I guess it is something around 10A-ish, I was able to get 19 hours for the Raspberry pi2.)
Now that the version 3 of Raspbery  is available, the final version would have a pi3 as it has wifi as well.

now that the price is sweet, I will order 2-3 Raspi 3 and create  maybe a  solar node. much easier to mantain than a vps.

I am a little bit in shock with the price, and happy that I was one of the many early adopters.
updates to follow.

Gabi

Good to see ya back in action.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Are there any pools to mine EverGreen?  Thx Smiley

The PoW (mining) phase has ended, its now just PoS (staking) which means you get interest on coins in your wallet.

You'll either need to buy your coins or you can get a small amount from the faucet.

Btw.. i came across this one while browsing for tiny machines.

Will it have enough cpu power to stake?

Oops I was a bit too open and honest at C-Cex again.
Well it's not my problem if anybody can't handle the truth, so I'll be back in 10 hours at the trollbox  Cool
In the meanwhile I'll concentrate on Bittrex and hopefully Poloniex soon *cross my fingers*

I have already covered all expenses and more.
Im still into this for the long run.

I really believe in the solar staker and the wonders it can do for the market price. (especially if the prepacking of wallets are done right)

Also, staking this coin is really profitable.
Only 7% too .. which hinders it from beeing victim of hyper inflation which kills so many coins.

PoW phase over.. which means no daily miner dumping.

Many good things going here.

edit:
Ofcourse there are big bagholders here. But i hope they are smart and put down sell walls, not dumps.
Also thats will make them a shitload more income than dumping.

Early dumpers are probably regretting their choices hard now.

2017 will be an interesting year for EGC, i said in june.

But the increased trade also means increased attention.
The very fast increase will often lead to dumps but so far it havent had any significant influence on the price.
As long as we still have a lot of development going, I dont think it will be a problem in the long run.

Yes, it has now even passed ETC and ETH.

Beeing on the top of the list on bittrex trade page is doomed to make people notice it.

If you have paid attention and followed this for a while.. you will remember something about investors secured not so long ago.

There are many reasons at work here.

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/mini-solar-powered-linux-pc/

These days the likes of the Pi/CHIP/Pine64 are more powerful (cpu and memory wise) and similar power (energy) consumption.

Just have them in your wallet and wait 24 hrs, and staking will begin.

The less you touch them and the longer they stay they higher your weight will be. Wallet must be unlocked and you will start to get rewards.
