Yes, I think it might be wise for us to move the community hangout to Saturdays in the future.

No real 'earth shattering new' news. Just an update to current developments. While it was 2 hours long, most discussions were reiteration of past ones and laughing at our language barriers. There was some good feedback and ideas about the roadmap that Marc and I will progress with over the weekend.

I do not feel there is an outline of meeting notes needed. Most of what 'new' that was discussed is only minor changes and such. All of which have been documented in the slack, but again, minor.

I hope moving the EGC community hangout to Saturday in the future helps you and others to be able to attend!

This is just a draft, not final. Q3 2017 will have "- Solar mining farm" added in reference to our plan to PoW mine, possibly for rent payable with EGC, other coins using solar powered GPUs and ASICs.

Yes, the tree planting will most likely have to seek funding in this manner. That is not to say we are not exploring other funding options. We plan to talk of these options next community meeting, sept. 24th 17:00 gmt.

2017 will certainly be an exciting year for EGC. I look forward to it and the end of 2016 eagerly and motivated.

I had a rather lengthy conversation with David, the owner of SciFi Domains. He has recently lost a loved one in his family and would feel more conbfortable moving the anticipated website ETA to 2 weeks, as opposed to 1 week. Please be reminded that SciFi Domains was contracted at a very considerable discount and some of the work is being done after hours. David and his staff are doing a top-notch job developing the new EverGreenCoin website. It truly will be a portal for all things 'evergreen', and 'main-street easy', at that. The quality of which that is well worth any needed wait.

Of course, and I feel I can say this for the entire EverGreenCoin community, our condolences to David and his family during their time of loss.

Always sad to hear that somebody died, but I think that the new website is not our priority atm.
Sure it would be good to have one, but a week more or less isn't a problem for me.
Our cause to support a greener environment is what drives me and with that in mind, I'm looking forward to the next community hangout on next saturday.

I did some calculation and found out that I'm now making roughly about 7.5 EGC a day, just by staking when I'm at my PC anyway.
At the price of 1 EGC atm, that's about 25.000 sat a day.

Thats pretty good. I am getting about 0.19 USD a day with the wallet just sitting on a PI.
Considering that I mined a lot of it and bought in early I am pretty happy.
Durring the couple of day before the fork when only solomining was availeble I was getting +10k EGC a day

The mining phase (PoW) ended, but now can you stake them (PoS). You get like 7% yearly of the amount you have at stake.
For the solar staker, we are looking into using a C.H.I.P. btw.

You certainly can stake your EGC on your Pi! You will need to install an OS, some linux flavor, and then build either the EGC daemon or EGC Qt. Only the daemon is needed but, if you want a graphical interface, you will want to compile the Qt wallet.

Make sure you have the dependencies:

A Pi Zero may not be the best platform as you need to add things to it for internet connectivity but if you've already got the Zero and a wifi dongle for it then it's not a bad option. You may have some issues compiling the wallet due to limited memory although there are ways to solve that.

I'd suggest the daemon only setup rather than the QT wallet however that does mean interacting with it from the command line. Longer term the web interface I'm developing for the Solar Staker might be an option although I've not yet decided how to license and release it.

Yes, EverGreenCoin is certainly different tree in the forest, if you will. We are commonly grouped into the classification of a 'cause coin'. What sets us apart from even that honorable pack is the cause is in support of all our environment and the many ways it can be improved. The scope of that can be very big, and it should be. As the newly forming branches grow and new ones emerge, our impact will be broader and more widespread giving EverGreenCoin more and more exposure. This new exposure has and will continue to bring new minds and hands into the community. I like this analogy, if the divisions are branches and the foundation is the trunk, the community is our root-system. That growth there will nourish the many budding blossoms of the branches. The cycle repeats.

Fueled by the need for environmental change in all its various forms, a fuel that will surly only increase in octane, EverGreenCoin will flourish in its causes and its profitability while doing so.
