I've gotten in contact with another Java developer who I will be bringing in to assist with QORA development.

Also, I've stayed in contact with Skerberus and vbcs of the original QORA team, as well as others who I will only mention if they say it is alright.

Things may be moving a bit slow at the moment due to personal things going on in a few people's lives, but I'm hoping to keep facilitating other things and moving forward.

The temp jar release that I put out seems to have run solid for me for a majority of the time on both my debian and Windows installations. I did have 2 crashes in the past 3 months, but that far surpasses how it used to be.

This is merely a simple change, nothing that would be considered a 'real fix' but something that will definitely assist with the stability of the overall network.

I'm continuing to get others to run nodes as well, and keep things moving while the slow time gets by.

There may not be as much active development as we would like to be seeing right at the moment, but I am prepping to make that happen. Anyone else is more than welcome to assist.

Also, I'll be contacting polo and giving them the new jar but I'm not sure they'll run it as I don't have the source code up on the main git. I will do so when the devs work out a few other changes and we can push the next version.

Just giving updates, more to come. Thanks!

No need to panic guys, just be patient, crowetic is involved with many coins, but he's still active with Qora

I'm not sure but we can try add qora to poswallet "add coin " list to collect 1000 vote,
  that would be included in this exchange.

I am very disappointed that devs team did not give any message here.

Nothing was done specifically for qora exchange?  Cry Cry

you are right , who cure QORA , dev focused on BURST.

We need skilled developers to advance Qora. There have not been much development progress since more than one year. Actually it should not be so difficult. The Coin offers a good base and the blockchain technology is on everyone's lips. Maybe we should make a kind of tender. I think that many good developers would have interest, but unfortunately do not know of Qora. In addition, Qora is written in Java, a language that many developers can use.

to advance it's better to know the right direction Wink

if the Qora blockchain & its clients are working, maybe the community should firstly find an interesting use cases for the Qora?

look @ Bellacoin - an LTC clone which made its #toTheMoon due to hot use case, Belacam, supported by proper marketing efforts

I had the same issue, so the post was helpful for me.

The fact that no dev has even bothered to change the list of nodes to working ones speaks volumes... unless some devs get an interest in Qora it isn't going anywhere.

Edit 2:  provided instructions for adding known peers, but instructions were wrong so I've removed them!

Thank you starmman !
I saw a post about nodes but the problem is that I dont know what to download and where to add them.
1 - go to qora website and download the wallet  ?
2 - add nodes ?

I dont know the steps. any page that explains this ?

Try this: -

1. Latest wallet release can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1358722.msg18387276#msg18387276
2. Run the wallet (you'll need Java installed), and close it down again
3. A settings.json file will be created, modify that with the new nodes list
5. Run the wallet again

I'm using the light wallet from 0.26.0 (link on OP) and it works fine with this in peers.json

Code:
{
"knownpeers": [
      "216.126.198.26",
      "71.94.87.188",
      "193.242.148.251",
      "106.187.42.214",
      "88.132.141.82",
      "61.186.94.149",
      "106.186.122.39",
      "188.166.16.64",
      "23.92.218.205",
      "128.199.45.81",
      "103.85.224.195",
      "118.184.54.215",
      "71.94.87.188",
      "150.129.80.71",
      "118.99.57.76"
   ]
}

IMO Qora has become a joke.

Time to move on or maybe I'm just a late adopter of this mentality.

Not going to go into detail but the wallet is a complete disaster and would recommend anyone thinking of hording to simply get rid whilst you still can.

Spent over 2 weeks getting wallet in sync, tried several setups, clean installs, universal, git latest, known peers, the whole lot, basically a complete waste of time.

I have to agree. Im not even good with computers but even the shittiest cryptocurrency (and I've downloaded many of them) have wallets that work. I'm just using Qora as a valuable lesson on how to go down with the ship. How to HODL to the end.

Besides there are still 50+ btc in buy orders, so somebody must know something.

https://steemit.com/blockchain/@bloggersclub/dinosaurs-and-dinomess-app-launch-qora-on-openledger-internet-of-coins-is-reaching-first-goal

QORA deposit intructions to OpenLedger:

1. Send email to ronny@openledger.info with info: a) how much you wish to send, and b) to which account on OpenLedger.  Receive a reply e-mail with OK to send.

2.  Send Qora to official OpenLedger address:
  QU5TZ11Wpy5ntcWyuD2WXcBm1Xm2LJUyeG

3. Follow up with an email including the Txid from Poloniex (or sender ID if from own wallet) stating the amount of deposit once again and the account on OpenLedger where to send.

——

You may then use this QORA token against any assets on OpenLedger, including the major cryptocurrencies BTC, ETH, USD, EUR and FIAT.
