any cooperation about qora with other teams?

Yes, QORA and BURST are working closely together, as well as an additional team outside QORA and BURST, and the extended team of BURST, which we labeled BURSTKORE. There are many projects both in and around QORA that will include QORA by default.

We have multiple plans for QORA and QORA 2.0 (which I will be posting about in the roadmap here shortly.)

The best thing people can do for QORA right now, is keep their wallet up, with some coins, and forging. To keep network running while we discuss what the future is, and have the community help us come to a nice conclusion.

Thank you!

[ANNouncement] - QORA 2.0 idea map, as well as some information about what we're thinking

You can find a downloadable copy of this roadmap here - (it will likely be reworked into two roadmaps, if we proceed with two coins as we're thinking) - https://cloud.crowetic.com/s/GVv7kzMzKZQH54w

QORA roadmap - first draft 8.15.2016 – crowetic

QORA as it sits-

The current version of QORA has many features that people don’t even know about, and has amazing technology that is for the most part going unused…

We are going to be reworking the QORA UI in many ways, both adding the useful features in easier to find locations, and also providing new registered names on QORA with functioning sites and web applications.

The main issue with QORA as it sits now stems from a few different things… One, would be some remaining issues with the wallet, that we are having the dev team take a look at. Anyone who is experiencing wallet issues, please post them on Bitcointalk forums, and we will give them to the dev team to have them taken care of.

The coin is extremely functional, and we will be adding to the functionality, by hosting multiple websites and applications for various purposes.

We will be releasing new UI’s and also videos explaining how things are done and what can be done with the current version of QORA.

I do not believe that a lack of features is the reason that the QORA community isn’t as large as it should be… I believe it is the fact that the UI isn’t super simple to figure out, and the features are generally pretty difficult to locate and figure out. This will be improved upon.

There will be additions of forums, blogs, websites, web applications, and many more social networking type setups, including decentralized WebRTC communications based on QORA’s WebRTC.

We will be making use of QORA’s decentralized hosting and web stuff, to host a vast array of services for the people of the community to take advantage of. This could include news sites, blogs, company websites, forums, and encrypted person to person communications in real-time, and more.

Focus on Smart Contracts, and namely QrowdFund with some additions of new features and the ability to be funded via multiple different coins directly in a decentralized way.

Current QORA will function after QORA 2.0 is in place, as a gateway to traditional exchanges, and also of course, its current functionality, which will be made more use of. Any remaining issues with the wallet will be fixed, and new UI (web based) will be released. Multiple new web applications will be designed, and QORA hosting will be made more use of via promotion and services helping people get their sites hosted in the decentralized QORA setup.

QORA Crowdfund campaign –

QORA has an amazing system unlike anything else available in the crypto space, and it was all done by developers giving their heart and soul to the project. We believe this is something that warrants assistance in the form of coin from the community.

We also believe that CrowdFunding (or QrowdFunding as it is referred to in QORA) is the future of how projects and ideas for development and more will be funded. It is a way to tell how the community feels on a subject, by allowing them to contribute their coin to said subject. It is also a way to continue forward with the funding needed to hire the people that will be needed for various aspects of the venture, without having to deal with VC companies and things of that nature, that may end up wanting too much control over a given project.

So, the plan is to start multiple CrowdFund attempts, in various aspects of current and future development, promotion, graphic design and web design, and any various projects developed around, on, or for QORA, including businesses and their platforms.

The CrowdFunds will run 8 weeks, and will seek amounts varying from 50 million to 250 million QORA depending on which subject. We hope this will spur the community to help fund the projects and get QORA to the plane that everyone who supports it knows it can be.

The QORA QrowdFund campaign will be launched near the same time as this QORA roadmap is launched. We hope to see much participation in helping get QORA to where it needs to be, by donating your coin to help the development and promotion.

QORA 2.0 ideas

There are many  ideas regarding the future of QORA, and we’re still making changes to the overall plan, and discussing what everyone in the team feels is the most important, etc… However, this is one of the potential directions for QORA…

QORA 2.0 – NEW CHAIN – New unique algorithm for PoW style mining with low power usage –

One of the ideas for the future, is to make QORA 2.0 a new chain. This new chain would be a version of QORA that has certain features removed in order to keep blockchain bloat down, and avoid redundancy on services, still giving QORA original some unique features, keeping it a viable choice to be used.

The new chain, would be a mined coin based on a completely different idea that has never been done before. Without getting into too many details, the system would be one that allows for any device to mine at the same speed as any other, with an account based system.

The account based system, would release a set amount of ‘mining accounts’, which would all mine at the same rate. The accounts could be given out to people who donate a set amount of QORA original to a specific location. The genesis block would release a set number of mining accounts which could be auctioned or sold to the people wanting an account using original QORA. This would give original QORA holders the exclusive on obtaining one of the rare new mining accounts on the new chain. Making QORA 1.0 a gateway to QORA 2.0, thus giving QORA 1.0 yet another function.

The system would open the door to having a fully viable phone mining operation, since any mining account will mint coins at the same speeds. The system will be highly memory based, and use PoW infrequently just to verify things. It will be an extremely low-powered algorithm, making the chain extremely green to use.

New mining accounts would be generated every so often, and there would be a system in place to spread out those accounts, via a marketplace that specializes in the buying and selling of mining accounts. This new system would open the door for a ‘mining trade’ room, where users could buy and sell mining accounts on the open market.

Multiple-Chain-Communication-Protocol –

Another idea moving forward, is a multi-chain structure, however, it would be unlike current sidechain setups, in the way that each chain will remain individual and will not need to be tied to another, removing yet another point of failure from the equation. The way this multi-chain setup would work, is through a protocol that is in design currently, which is based on the AT system (Smart Contracts in QORA and BURST) by CIYAM developers (www.ciyam.org/at). The multiple chain system, would be actually individual chains, but with the same functionality as a sidechain system, and more. Some of the benefits would be…

-Sharing services across blockchains
-Transfer of value across blockchains
-Communication directly with BTC and other coins with new BTC core version with ClockTimeVerify, without the coins having to add anything at all. The protocol in development will allow for this communication, without the need for anything else.
-Smart Contract run decentralized multi-chain collaboration system for building services and businesses on fully decentralized platform

Decentralized P2P trade portal-

Using the protocol mentioned above, a decentralized portal is in development, and should be coming out in alpha stages in the next month. Proving concept of decentralized portal with Smart Contract system that QORA and BURST already have. This will allow for everything above, and more, including Automated Decentralized Bidding system for the marketplace on BURST and new mining account market, and also an Automated Decentralized Advertisement purchase and distribution network. The Ad network would allow people to purchase ad space on various web locations in an automated fashion, without any central authority, could potentially also be setup in an auction style way, in which the highest bidder gets the advertising space for sale.

The decentralized portal in development will not be directly correlated to QORA (or BURST), yet it will include both of these coins due to the fact that they already contain the AT system. Though, the development of the portal will be done with QORA and BURST in mind, and additions will be made to each UI for more functionality inside the portal, and services and money transfers can happen between the AT enabled coins already. The development here will be used to benefit all AT enabled coins, and will make use of non-AT enabled coins as well.

Decentralized File Storage system made in a unique way –

There will be another chain (or potentially the same chain with this as an addition) that will contain a decentralized file storage system. This system will be done in a way that no other has been. The chain itself will not be the place the files are stored, only the hashes of the files will be stored on the chain itself. An attached service will be provided that allows for data storage, and uses the mentions on the chain of the hashes to allow for the system to locate the files.

Files will be broken up after being encrypted, so that no one user will ever be able to see the files that they are hosting for the network. Only the person who placed the files there, or a share key they could potentially generate for public view, would allow for a user to see the files. Only the person who placed the files there or their sharing partner would know how to not only put the files back together, but also decrypt them. This eliminates the worry of the people hosting the files, just in case someone doesn’t follow the rules of the system, and uploads something that isn’t legal.

The system would also allow for ‘full nodes’ that would host all files, and get a larger income from this, like a file hosting service. Say the system had determined that a certain file was too old, and didn’t want every node to have to host it anymore… That is when the ‘full node’ would take the file, and allow the other ‘partial nodes’ not to have to store the entire file any longer, or their portion of it as it were. This could open the door for a business model built on top of this, that would allow ‘full node’ operators to provide access to older or potentially even deleted files* (*this isn’t for sure) on the network for a fee, so that even files that the network has determined to be ‘too old’, could still be acquired if need be.

Combining the power of QORA web hosting, and QORA 2.0 decentralized storage, and the ability to accept BTC and other altcoin payments directly, it opens the door for various business models to be built in a fully decentralized way. Service providers like Web Designers, could offer their services for design, on the network, and also provide FREE decentralized hosting via the QORA net, so that even users who aren’t familiar with design, and don’t have a lot of money for hosting, could have the most secure of all websites, hosted on a decentralized platform.

No more hacking of websites would be possible using the decentralized hosting, no more loss of files due to centralized server hacking on services like Dropbox and such would be possible via the decentralized file storage.

System would run in a green, power efficient way with the other algorithm in development (nearly complete) mentioned above.

QORA/QORA 2.0/BURST

The internet revisited – QORAnet –

The services provided on QORA Original and QORA 2.0 will lead the way in making the fully decentralized internet. With a whole new model on how people understand getting paid for services, and hosting of files and websites. There is really no limit to the power of the Smart Contract system that QORA and BURST have, and we look to prove as many use cases for this as possible, making as much use of the system as we can, and proving everything we’re saying with working demos.

Hack-proof services can and will be offered. Gone will be the days of wondering if your security is up to par, and having to worry if you’re going to have a hack on your business and its services, potentially harming your customers or their data.

Businesses can provide consulting or hosting services using QORA and the protocol for transferring value and services decentralized, to run a plethora of extremely secure services that will not have to be constantly revised and checked for security. Things hosted within QORA are secure by nature, running in a decentralized way, not vulnerable to DDOS attacks or the like, and not able to be gotten into such the way that traditional websites and services are.

Simple to use UIs for everything will provide all of these services in a simple to use way to gain use by the general public. There will be advertising campaigns done, and many PR releases about the current and future services being offered, that will be sent as many places as possible.

BURST/QORA – Smart Contract Hacker Challenge PR campaign –

BURST And QORA will be announcing a challenge to the world soon as well, regarding the security of the Smart Contract system they share. In this challenge, BURST will initiate a CF attempt, using the same system that QrowdFund uses on QORA. This CrowdFund attempt will be funded with 50 million BURST in one, and 100 million BURST in another.

The two CrowdFunds will run for 4-6 weeks, giving the world a chance to attempt to hack the funds from the account. The CrowdFunds will be setup to do both a successful and a non-successful CrowdFund attempt. The successful one will be paid out to the starting address, and the unsuccessful will be refunded automatically by the Smart Contract, to the people who participated.

BURST/QORA team leader, crowetic, will be demonstrating his trust in the Smart Contract system, by putting up 25-50 Million BURST of his own funds into the CrowdFunds. The Hacker challenge will be announced via multiple news outlets, and will have a goal of proving the viability of Smart Contracts as a whole, and also proving the security of the AT Smart Contract system used by BURST and QORA. It will be mentioned that BURST and QORA share the Smart Contract setup, and that the same setup will also be used in a new Blockchain service, a decentralized coin exchange.

The hopes here, is to prove the security of the Smart Contract system, while at the same time announcing what the same system will be used for in the future, gaining both following of people and potential users of the platform and the coins, and hopefully raising the coins’ marketcaps as well, giving the ability to do larger and larger projects based within the coins.

Comments –

We are still making decisions on the specifics of how exactly everything will go, but we have a general idea of what we would like it to look like overall. The network of chains that can all share services, and value, including BTC, for a plethora of decentralized secure services available both from within the team, and from others.
Businesses can be based on multiple aspects of the services and setup, and there are many unknown other features that will be realized and added to this setup in the future, allowing more and more functionality.

The world of Smart Contracts, of decentralization of the internet entirely, and of extreme security, is the world of QORA and BURST. The first two coins in the world ever able to do direct transfers with each other, now working together and with a much larger and stronger team, to get these services out to the people, to bring awareness of the facts that they were the FIRST to do so many things which aren’t even mentioned when people mention Smart Contracts…

The original innovators are looking to obtain their notoriety once again for being the ones to do these things first, that others are just now starting to do. Not only did we do it first, we have done it strongest, most secure, and best. This will all be demonstrated in the coming releases of the products and services we are working on.

QORA is the engine to make all of these things run. QORA 2.0 is the service platform to assist. QORA 1.0 can function as a gateway to the traditional exchanges (i.e. Poloniex) and also as an exclusive ‘members only’ way to acquire mining accounts on one of the multiple new chains in development.

Some of the new chains will not be coins, they will simply be blockchain based services. Some WILL be coins. This will all be announced in more detail in the near future.

QORA is here to stay, here to make everything you do on the internet, ACTUALLY secure. This is the direction we will go, the actions taken on the community side are their own, but we hope that the community sees merit in what we’re going to be doing, and would help us along the way by donating to the QrowdFund attempts.

Thank you for your time, and look forward to the coming announcements very soon! Hope to have the proof of concept done on the decentralized exchange by end of September. A lot of the things discussed here in this announcement/paper, are either being worked on, or ideas that could be done in a fairly short amount of time due to the development work already completed on QORA 1.0. It is my understanding that the Windows wallet has a certain issue. But it seems all wallets don't like it if you don't close the wallet with file-quit, and let it close out like it should. Seems to corrupt the db if not done, and makes you resync.

The way that I've personally resolved this, is by using the 'universal wallet', then also downloading the data folder that I zipped up, and putting it into the extracted folder for the universal wallet. You can think of the universal wallet as a 'mobile' wallet, meaning the files are contained within that directory, and not put to the %appdata% global variable folder. So with the universal wallet, you place the extracted data folder into the QORA extracted universal wallet folder, then run (on windows) 'run.bat', the wallet will launch and it will launch in a cmd window you can watch. Do not close this window, but instead always close with file-quit on the UI.

Using the universal wallet and the data folder that I uploaded, you should not keep having these issues, given you closing the wallet always with file-quit. (which we're going to be resolving the root cause, these are just some workarounds for now.)

Thanks!

It sure has great plans ahead. This is gonna be a start of something big . Hopefully 2.0 has plan to improve its forging incentive like a supernode ala NEM or something to attract .

What i did that fixed it was i installed the qora (Qora-v0.26.0.exe) and then i extracted the data.zip to both the folders named 'data' and 'dataBak'. The wallet parsed the chain and now I am at the same block as the block explorer here http://216.126.198.26:9090/index/blockexplorer.html ready to transfer some coins i bought and start helping the network.

It sure has great plans ahead. This is gonna be a start of something big . Hopefully 2.0 has plan to improve its forging incentive like a supernode ala NEM or something to attract .

There will be no forging in 2.0, and soon I'm thinking we're going to change the forging on 1.0 as well, making it also a mined system. The two systems will be completely different but both mined, we're doing away with PoS I believe, but at the same time we're going to provide a couple mining styles that use the same amount of power or a tiny tiny bit more than PoS to provide VASTLY superior security and solve all issues with PoS and PoW that exist now.

We believe that PoW type mining is a better solution, but the power consumption is an issue, so we're resolving these issues, one algo will likely be similar to BURST, there will be another that is a completely new type of system that no other coin has ever done. Completely written from the ground up. I'm really excited about this because it will also provide a completely new type of trade market as well, in the buying and selling of mining-enabled accounts.

This way, the people who stake QORA because they don't have big miners, can continue to be involved, the process will just change a little, that's all. Smiley

The 2.0 proof should be considered more 'minting' as opposed to mining, since it will be something a bit different. From now on I will refer to the process as 'minting' for the QORA 2.0 proof.

The wallet parsed the chain and now I am at the same block as the block explorer here http://216.126.198.26:9090/index/blockexplorer.html ready to transfer some coins i bought and start helping the network.

Good Job !!! That was my problem .

Smiley

in the buying and selling of mining-enabled accounts

This is really something new. Guys better keep working on that Smiley Thank you for being there with Qora .

What I know of the PoS Like system will not have the flaws that exist with PoS.
