I can relate to you both. I don't understand what bitcoin is and even until now, I am still having a hard time to learn about this. I'm more into Arts and Literature and my weaknesses are in the fields of Math, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Economics, and the likes, so I am trying to further understand what Bitcoin is all about and continue learning. This bitcoin forum site helps me to catch up and understand a little of what this cryptocurrency is all about.

Indeed, it takes time and effort to learn about things. And I know that there are a lot of us here who can relate to this.

Agree. What better way to learn about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies than doing so by exploring the forums? This community is the largest and most experienced I've ever seen among others which help you guide your way towards a great understanding about the blockchain and Bitcoin.

Even if you have been around it for a couple of years, you won't be able to know everything about it as it involves complex subjects such as cryptography and other things related to computer science with a little bit of economics. However, if you truly desire to become an expert in the subject, then you would need to study and research everyday to help expand your knowledge.

In my case, I would like to become an expert in the field someday, and use the experiences obtained to help guide others who are new into cryptocurrencies. I believe that once you understand everything about Bitcoin and the blockchain, you will be able to get ahold of other cryptocurrencies too since most of them are Bitcoin based.

The greatest thing about Bitcoin, in my own opinion, is that it has taught us a valuable lesson and that is to be a privacy centric user, and make better use of our funds. Just sharing my thoughts. Grin

I started using bitcoin at a price of about 500$/btc And I feel very sorry for the soaring bitcoin price, the pain is very painful, because the First t was hesitant to plant stock in bitcoin at that time,  if I plant all my wealth in bitcoin then, maybe now I have become a billionaire

For me this will be a funny story Cheesy
I will just tell you some of the experiences I got when I first joined in bitcoin world, when I first learned about bitcoin from my friend, I was ordered to make a bitcoin wallet in blockchain.info then I started collecting bitcoin from faucet only from various faucet sites which is available and it is in need of a long time just to get 1mbtc to 10mbtc. Cheesy
Then I invested it in cloud mining by instead of getting a good profit in the next few months, but it happened that the site had scammed me and I was back got scammed in HYIP. Cheesy
After I joined in this forum and got to know the gambling sites then I played gambling from the rest of the balance I had before and I had a better income than before by gambling. Grin

Everyone started as a novice and a rookie at some point in time, I started without any information or the like, had a decent gaming computer in 2013 and was told that I could earn something with it, rather than just gaming.
I started using a pool and trying BTC, didn't earn allot but was involved in BTC world for a while.

It was 2013 when I read an article about Bitcoin. Since I was unsure that underage users can use bitcoin, I wasn't using it. In 2015 when I became teen, I registered my first blockchain.info bitcoin wallet over Tor. I was too paranoid and afraid it may become illegal at any time. I was collecting bitcoins from faucets. Now I moved these coins from blockchain.info and using Electrum, Mycelium and still Blockchain over clearnet (registering second account). I have several Blockchain wallets.

Ah, the good ole days when I was able to simply pay .15 cents for a TX and the price of 1 BTC was around $400. Damn, I really regret not getting into buying a ton of Bitcoin with the money that I had. There's a killing to be made from holding and investing but I don't think I'd do it anymore. Though, my experience with it was all around pretty good-- my TX confirmed fast even while I was paying 15 cents for a TX.

Now if you paid 15 cents it'd probably take weeks to even come close to one miner thinking about confirming your tx. SEGWIT PLEASE!

When I started with bitcoin like most people here I had almost no knowledge about bitcoin but immediately I knew that I wanted to be part of this, I bought some bitcoin but obviously I made some mistakes since I was not used to the violent moves the price does.

I have experience sleeping late at night reading about bitcoin. A friend just told me about bitcoin, I could ask him about bitcoin but I prefer doing research and answering the questions myself because I know that he is so busy in bitcoin. I was also scolded by my father and told me stop because this is not good for my health. I did not stop even if my parents would always remind me about it. I really want to earn money and through earning bitcoin and saving it up, I can now afford buying the things I need in school like components for my school project without asking money from them. I am really thankful that bitcoin have been introduced to me.

My first experience in bitcoin was to buy some satoshi on my friend for altcoin trading at poloniex, I was taught my friend to trading, even though he just said it was simple, buy enough at cheap price and sell at high price, the fact is not simple

That is not the case only with you but a number of people including me are regretting the case that we have ignored it at the starting time when we heard it and that was its initial time and we would be very rich if we would adopt it at that time.

My first experience about bitcoin was not very encouraging  because I started gathering satoshis via faucets and my daily satoshis gathered was not much after spending so much time on my laptop and using much data I was discouraged until I stumbled on this site which gave me the opportunity of earning Bitcoin by signature campaigns.

It is because of the knowledge about bitcoin we get from the people who first tell us about bitcoin. If they would tell us all about the technology and future of bitcoin and its benefits then no one would reject it at the early time of bitcoins and everyone would be a millionaire like other early investors.

This community will also make you panic to sell what you hold when a fud is almost like the true story behind. I was a victim long before I learned to relax and search for the truth myself before dumping my coins.  If you have panicked lately, you get used to it soon. Smiley

Yeah. I've had bad experiences in my early days with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies when some members of the community started spreading FUD making me panic sell most of my coins. One altcoin which I regret selling it is Monero because of the FUD that was being spread into the forums a couple of years ago.

By that time, there were a lot of posts and threads about Monero, so I was confused whenever to sell it, or be left holding the bag. When I saw prices decline, I've decided to sell most of my XMR when it was worth around $0.60 USD. Now, it is worth nearly $50 and I'm regretting what I did in my early days.

Something similar happened to me in Bitcoin as well, but now I'm aware about most of the things that occur within the Bitcoin community, analyzing the situation before making my move.

Nevertheless, I'm hoping to gain more experiences each day, so that I could educate others who are new into this field to help avoid scams and other undesired situations.   Smiley

I would like to know what experiences did you had when you first started with Bitcoins. As for me, I had many that I would like to share with you.

When I began in the Bitcoin world, I was a complete rookie with no proper knowledge of how did mining worked or anything about cryptocurrencies. I just thought about Bitcoin as another payment processor like PayPal. But when I joined the BitcoinTalk community, I learned so many things along the way. In my process of learning in the first days, I decided to invest into cloud mining services. Since I didn't knew much about it, I invested a plenty amount of Bitcoins to start my journey into it. During that time, I had gotten into many different services. Those were GAW Miners, then Cointellect, cloudminr.io and finally Hashnest. After getting scammed many times by the services mentioned previously, (except for Hashnest) I have lost many Bitcoins. As a result, I decided to never invest into cloud mining and thus dedicate myself into learning more about the cryptocurrency and look for other ways to earn Bitcoins. It was then that I enrolled into the signature campaign that I am currently into and during all that time I began to earn Bitcoins as well as diversify my investments into different alt coins. Now I am dedicated to trading Bitcoins and other alt coins, as well as working for it (like the signature campaign and working as a freelancer) in order to earn coins and build up my portfolio along the way.

Anyways, what would be your experiences with this exciting cryptocurrency?  Cheesy
I know bitcoin a few months ago. Also not exactly a good start. I hear my friends talk about bitcoin quite long but I don't care for, until you I just how to earn bitcoin how.My friend explained to me a lot about bitcoin, but very difficult for me to understand, maybe I do not have expertise in this field. Current I'm still learning and earn bitcoin.

I was first aware of it in 2009. Forgot completely. Became dimly aware again in 2011. Did nothing. Got rolling properly in mid 2013. I feverishly read up on it for a couple of weeks. Looked up Gox, thought 'this is the NASDAQ of Bitcoin? Fuck that' and went to localbitcoins.

Almost all of the 'opportunities' and businesses looked like blatant scams to me and time proved it to be correct. I've learnt vast amounts of new stuff along the way.

Similar stuff. I found out about bitcoin in 2010, decided it was a neat idea but had no potential, and went on with my life. The late 2014/2015s roll around and I find myself realizing that the price is now in the hundreds. Definitely one of the things I regret the most, but I'm still happy that I got in the game relatively quickly.

Similar thing happened to me mate. While I started with Bitcoin in 2014, I realized that I was a little too late considering that the price were around the hundreds, but I quickly invested some money into it and now look at the price. It is nearly double than what I had invested when I first started. If I knew about Bitcoins in 2009-2010 I would have bought a bunch of them and today I would have been a millionaire. But anyways, better late than never.  Cheesy

Agreed with me gan, when I played bitcoin in the same year in 2014 and by that time I had invested some of the mine and I did not continue because I was busy with my work and just realized again that I heard From my friend a few months ago With a fantastic price, I intend to reinvest some of my work to buy bitcoin for a long time, better late than never because bitcoin is a very profitable investment for anyone who wants to invest in a long time.
