Today I watched a video of Mercedes test run and it looked like they were still quite bouncy. Which means that if they are still as bouncy as last year, that would be terrible. And this was on rain, which means that they weren't even running at full speed and yet they still had the same issue, and if they run at full speed like a real race, it would be even worse. Either something was wrong for the test and they used like last years chassis or whatever I don't know the reason, or they will have the same issue again this year at first. I hope that they will figure that out, it would be a damn shame.

Don't trust these cars we have seen at all.

Especially Mercedes and Redbull are known for presenting a car on filming day and having a different one during the tests.

We are going in the week of the test for F1.
It will be the only week this year from Thursday to Saturday of the next week in Bahrain.

The weather will be sunny as usual.

The last year we got huge problems with sand and wind if you can remember.

Leading in the world driver's champioship to win is Verstappen with 1.73, followed by Hamilton with 4, then Leclerc with 6.

Constructors are as follows.  Red Bull at first with 1.95, Mercedes next with 2.40, then Ferrari 5.75.

I also saw that and I think it's a pretty serious problem considering that the bouncy problem is pretty dangerous for the car. Even though Mercedes has taken steps to address this issue, by adjusting the suspension, it seems that what Mercedes has done is not optimal and there needs to be improvisation on this issue. Hopefully this problem doesn't have a significant impact on Mercedes' performance this season.

According to the calculations of this supercomputer, Verstappen will win his third championship in a row. Besides it calculated the 2nd and 3rd in the standings as Hamilton and Leclerc respectively. It doesn't seem unrealistic to me honestly. Because we still can't be sure of what Ferrari can really do this season yet. They claim that they have the strongest car now but the most important thing is to have a season without problems. Otherwise it doesn't matter how fast your car is. Apart from that, Verstappen is still the clear favourite. Hamilton can also have a great season depending on how much Mercedes have developed their car.

That was a test, it was on f1 rumor mills all over twitter, and it wasn't a "different" car, it was testing car. Could you be right? Could they test with last years car and not this years car?

Maybe, maybe they would do that because of the whole rain situation and not risk any crash and lose money, but at the end of the day why would you want to test with an old car that was horrible? What could that gain you?

Why not put the new car and get all the information that you need? That just doesn't make sense to me at all. I think there is a possibility that the new car still as proposing problem and they may actually have a very hard time at the start of the season but they at least know the solution this time.

The official pre-season test for WSBK at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia has been completed today which was held for two days including today. On the first day Toprak became the fastest on his Yamaha R1 motorbike after scoring a time of 1:30.674 seconds yesterday, but today's Ducati rider Alvaro Bautista managed to be the fastest by scoring a time of 1:30.272 seconds and that is an extraordinary time record. have indicated that Alvaro Bautista will still be a very strong rider for this season in WSBK. _{Source: infoworldsbk}

Here's the thing with F1 before the season starts.  The favorites are hated because there's a really good chance that everything is gonna happen the same as last season...  Again.  And Ferrari almost always keeps getting all the hype.  But by the time we're all at the middle of the season, the books have gotten the lines in the outrights market to a tee.

I mean sure, Ferrari's car could be fast but Red Bull's car could be fast too and they have the best driver on the grid rn with the best strategists and the best technical team.

Mercedes already said that they are going to start behind Red Bull and Ferrari, which is a proof that it is not going to be that much of a trouble for the top. I believe that we shouldn't be really expecting much from them at the start, and I do believe that it will be hard for them to be champions this year if they start that badly. So it is once again just Red Bull and Ferrari like last year. They can hate it as much as they want but that's not going to be a big of a problem because we will end up watching it no matter who wins, because we can't just stop watching just because Red Bull wins, we watched it when Mercedes won like 8 times, its fine.

With more GPs coming year after year they have now a new rule.

The salary cap is increased based on the number of races.
For every race after the 21st, team will have an extra budget of 1.2-1.8 million depending on where the extra race will be done.

Excellent change, I think it's fair that there is this "flexibility" of the value according to the number of races.

Two other "small changes" that were announced today, but which are very significant and should be listed:

- The arrival of a new wet track tire. After tests carried out by Pirelli, a new rubber will be available in F1 from the Emilia-Romagna GP. I don't know, I'm a little apprehensive about this novelty, because I remember that Pirelli's wet track tire was the target of a lot of criticism last season for having a very bad performance, could they have improved that?

Same supercomputer also calculated the best possible lap with the best racing lines in every possible scenario with every car and then Hamilton beat it anyway and got a faster lap.

It is not always correct, I am not sure how serious Ferrari will be right on the first season of a new team principle, there could be a settling down period where they will have to learn some things while on the job, and can't know before the season starts, but at the end of the day I have to agree that they have a very good car, there is no doubt about that. If they can keep the mistakes to a minimum, and have no reliability issues, I can see them doing a very good job.

Hamilton will be eager to try to take the overall record in number of championships, but I think his time is over. I know that this guy is a beast mentally, but so is Verstappen. When I watched Hamilton giving interviews in the recent past, I felt as if something has changed. He wasn't on fire as much as he used to be. If I had to make my pick I think it comes down to the first couple of races whether Hamilton is a candidate or not. If he isn't relatively successful in the first three to four races, that could already mean the end. There have been seasons where he had great comebacks, but if he can do that again? Verstappen is also extremely aggressive and is risking accidents a few percentage points more than Hamilton. If Hamilton's car isn't dominant enough, he will be constantly exposed to those attacks.

I think these new safety ones are definitely the right path to take. Wet tires were terrible last season, we have seen teams not even race for too long in many races, and couldn't even finish the whole laps and had to be drained first and then finish against the clock and that was truly terrible if you ask me.

Because of this I believe that we shouldn't be really against drivers not wanting to race when it's raining, we have seen how terrible cars are and how everyone crashed, no reason to put yourself in danger, don't care how back in the day drivers didn't care about rain, I care about their safety more than my pleasure of watching them. Second one is also good, make sure everything looks as clear as possible.

Today watching tests I realized that's just one week remaining until start of new season. Before I was sure that there is few weeks break between tests and first race and season will begin in second part of March.

157 laps of Verstappen , it's like 3 full races in one day. As I understand, on 3rd day of testing Checo will have same opportunity to be on track whole day.
Also noticed Leclerc head shaking on straights, I thought that porpoising was just past season thing.

We are slowly starting the F1 season again. has been at a standstill for several months. But soon we will be racing again for real. Could there be teams or players that could give Verstappen competition in the fight for the world championship? I can hardly imagine that myself. And then there is also the fact that I assume that Red Bull has another great car for this season. Most questions will end up with Mercedes, they really have to close a very big gap compared to last season. And I also wonder how much sense Hamilton still has in it. He will certainly want revenge for the lost season in which he did not win a single game. How big would the jug have been on that? And will Verstappen break his own record for the total number of victories?
