I don't think Mercedes drivers can fight with Verstappen at the same level in this race just as it is in the other races as well. I mean this can't happen unless Verstappen has a serious problem with his car. It is like the only way that the other drivers can catch up with him. It is a really bad qualifying result for Perez indeed. He is starting from the back of the grid and his job about climbing the positions won't be easy at all. He needs to complete this race with minimum level of mistakes.

Alonso will fight for another podium but this time Mercedes drivers are a bigger challenge for him as well. I wonder if Alonso can maintain this series and I hope so. 

Well that's the only way the Mercs can win against Red Bull: car failure. If that doesn't happen, Max will easily breeze past all other drivers and only has to maintain a comfortable lead if he wants to win. That has been the same narrative before the start of the season, and is still the same narrative that we are seeing right now. I don't think there's any other way around it at the moment even if all the drivers suddenly drove out of their minds for the race.

Hoping for an Aston Martin podium finish, even if it's clear as day that Max will take the P1 spot again.

Nice to see that Hamilton can again compete with the best in this qualifying. What can we expect from him tomorrow? Many enthusiasts still yearn for a fight between Hamilton and Verstappen, but if Verstappen drives normally and does not experience any mechanical problems, it will be difficult to keep up with him. Drive to Survive and the new owners Liberty Media definitely made some big changes and that is why it's getting this much attention. Plus, during the whole Senna or Lauda or even Schumi years, we didn't had social media, maybe later years of Schumi but it wasn't this global and widely used. Now? Now it's all fame and tik toks and tweets and all that, which makes it even bigger, plus the docuseries definitely made people feel like they are actually part of it, like they are on the inside, and learn more about it.

This is why I honestly believe that more and more teams will want to be part of it, and maybe not anytime soon because it would be too difficult, but we may look at a 30 team 30 week thing in the long future, like in 20-30 years.

Drive to survive definitely got a ton of new viewers without a doubt. I mean even the highlights on youtube is getting more views than it used to get and that's a big proof that it's improving. I wouldn't say 30 teams with 30 races, but maybe one day we can see about 15 or so teams, it is not a sport many can join, it's a very expensive one, and not as popular as most others, running a football club is cheaper unless you are Real Madrid of City or PSG, and yet it's not getting as much views and that's why not many want to join.

A few more teams can start, ford, audi, andretti, those type of teams can maybe start, but I doubt it would be over 15 teams, highly doubt that. I think 12 is an ideal number, with about 24 races that's ideal in my mind.

This was a really crazy match. We even experienced 2x a restart in this race. Max Verstappen ultimately stayed very cool during this last restart, but Hamilton was faster in the previous 2 starts. Hamilton was not entitled to the overall victory on the basis of driving. Verstappen was faster everywhere and somewhere, but due to the restart and several yellow flags, the differences had become minimal again. It sometimes seems that Verstappen has more horsepower in his engine when you see him flying over the circuit. He will reign supreme again this season.

You don't see it often, but those are things that come with racing. And Verstappen is the best, but also has the best engine. Very bad of Perez that he made a costly mistake in qualifying which meant that he qualified last at all and therefore had to start from last place today. They were also separate starts, at the last restart a few cars flew through the air and a few crashed. Nick de Vries has a reasonable debut in F1. It will be a while before he can really measure up to the bigger guys in this class. good to see hamilton back on the podium.

They had already some big problems in the last race of last season where Max intentionally did not let Perez come 2nd driver and since then their report is broken between them.Perez had already claimed that he will not be a 2nd driver anymore since then and that was the reason and condition that he put to the team before he signed in to renew his contract with Redbull.

In today race there were a lot of outside factors who made the race difficult for Perez and of course Redbull has their part in the fault because they choose the wrong strategy for him while they were fully focused to win the race with Verstappen and we know that Verstappen does not need that much of attention,he would have won the race anyway,but the team looks not that concerned with Perez at all and that is why such words.

The problem for everyone is RBR somehow they are 1 second faster for lap in comparison to the others.

I think Verstappen is just very good. There are few riders as talented as him. Maybe from the past no one at all. But you can't compare drivers of the past with drivers of today, since a lot has changed. Car speeds are much higher, but safety has also changed a lot in a positive sense for this market. If I were Perez, knowing I'm a capable driver capable of winning championships, I wouldn't really want to be a second driver to someone like Max Verstappen. While the guy really is talented when it comes to driving, his ego is just a bit too much and he sometimes oversteps his position in the team just because he wants some extra cookie points. Dude's got a lot of air in his head right now and Perez is the only one who can keep him in check, but Red Bull doesn't want that and would surely favor Verstappen all the way.

Also, Verstappen owing Perez? Verstappen would surely not see it that way.

This was definitely one of the most amazing races in the recent years. I'm really lucky to get up very early and to not miss this kind of a race.

I really don't remember a race that we saw this many red flags for a long while. Some people say that the last red flag wasn't right and there should have been a safety car instead. But I'm not sure about this honestly. If it wasn't a decision breaking the rules then there isn't any problem. I was hopeful about Leclerc this time but he couldn't even finish the first lap I'm afraid. It has been a horrible start for Ferrari to this season. Mercedes have made progress so far. Hamilton must be enjoying his podium. Congrats to Alonso also on his podium three times in a row.

Not goingto repeat what was said, but ending of race was ridiculous. That last red flag and finish behind safety car... In such situations I like what NASCAR is doing - they add extra laps to the race. But probably such thing isn't possible in F1, cars would run out of fuel.
But I think it's not good decision to give standing restart. Maybe rolling restart isn't such exciting, but it's much safer option. That crash between Ocon and Gasly immediately gave me flashbacks to Perez and Ocon fights at Force India. I would be surprised if we will see similar accidents again this season.
Easy win for Verstappen,but obviously he wasn't happy about all these red flags and restarts - risk that something will go wrong was big. While P5 for Perez is best what he could achieve, overtaking in this track is so difficult.

The good news is that now we have 1 month of pause since the Chinese GP has been removed and not replaced, so cars can improve.

Good news? C'mon, season just started and now we have such long 1 month break. I will miss F1 too much.

I'm quite bored discussing Verstappen vs Alonso, or Verstappen vs Hamilton, etc. It's true that Verstappen's performance is very good at the moment, but that doesn't mean that other drivers don't have the strength to compete with him, surely other drivers will have a chance, especially this season it's still long and for sure there will be surprises from other drivers.

Yes, Marco Bezzecchi surprised me. I thought Bagnaia would be the one to win again, but he was up on lap 17. Alex Marquez's performance is also not bad, he is quite able to carry the bike well. But I'm not sure Alex will continue to stabilize at the top because this is just the beginning. Bezzecchi's death and Bagnaia's fall made a blessing, Bezzecchi is currently ranked first with 50 points. Here's a table of the top 10 race results in Argentina and provisional rankings.

When things go according to plan, like everyone just runs and there is a limited contact, that's a race that is boring but what the drivers deserve as well. It is not fair that they work so hard, and only have 23 races and a few of them goes away because someone else made a mistake and crashed them.

There isn't like some rewind button neither, if you made a mistake, you go, and if someone else crashes into you, you lose, and there is nothing nobody can do. However, it is also a boring race, when it is like this, even though drivers hated it, and some teams fans hated it and all that, we still have a situation where it was a race to talk about at least, it wasn't boring at all.

Marco Bezzecchi had an extraordinary Argentina MotoGp race in wet conditions, because he was able to maintain his lap rhythm very well until he reached the finish line in first place. It was his first victory in the primary class and what was unique about this victory immediately brought Marco Bezzecchi to the top of the standings along with his team after Pecco Bagnaia fell during the race leaving 8 more laps.

In addition, the podium at the Argentina MotoGp was occupied by all the satellite teams from Ducati because the factory Ducati team fell in the race and this is a very unique result in my opinion because Morbidelli was unable to defend himself when he was chased by Johan Zarco in the final laps of the race so he (Morbidelli) was only able to finish fourth where that position was his position when he started the race.
