For ETH or for ZEC?
why would he post in ETH topit if it is for ZEC?

^ Grin

Anyone switching back to Eth (from ZEC?) Price of ZEC really gone down lately

I went back to ETH.

Look to the difficulty chart https://etherscan.io/chart/difficulty I think that many many people went back to the ETH Smiley
I did it month ago

Me too, I don't understand why anybody would mine ZEC with polaris gpus...

Well sh*t, perfect time to move back to Eth with the release of 8.0...  (thanks Claymore!)

I go on a trip for 3 weeks and things change so drastically in the crypto world, lol.

Well ZEC mining for the Tahiti's is pretty bad right now.

I might try EXP mining on the 280X with Pascal dual mining.

However something tells me the power consumption will be in the Litecoin mining territory, pretty much like this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUvUmo8dBmU

2 of the R9 280X consuming 700 Watts at the wall.

Power consumption is pretty heavy at default Pasc -dcri.  Careful if you run a tight ship with your PSUs.

On my low power bios modded RX 470 4GB cards, the best setting is DCRI 17/18
I get ETH 26 and PASC 240 per card, each card drawing about 105W at the wall.

What kind of RX470 do u have ?
what kind of low power bios are u using ?

thx

I am pretty sure its not 105W at the wall while dual mining. He is most likely looking at his GPU-z wattage. I think it uses 150W or so.

RX 480 4GB undervolted, stock bios -  eth+pasc 195W at wall (1050W whole rig 5x card), compared to 160W eth+lbry (880W whole rig)

well 105w is very hard to achieve  but i guess 130 is more realistic considering that an rx 470 can run pascal at 520 @  50 w FROM WALL  (-130 mv  , 1000 mhz core , 300 mhz memory , 34 % fan)

OK so my miner has been running for 7.5 days without a hitch.  Do I just leave it running and wait for an issue or do any maintenence checks?

I move my RIG from ETH+DCR to ETH+PASC and I have about 6% of rejected shares on monitor but on supnova dashboard is shown 23% or rejected share, is that normal ?

Is it possible use other pool on Pascal coin instead suprnova ?

thx

just let it run.

i do monitor the hashrate/temps with ethman a couple times a day. if something is way off (very unusual) i reboot the rig.

It is actually 105W at the wall. GPU-Z Reads 67W. Sapphire RX 470 4GB Reference style cards, hynix memory, custom memory strap, running at 1000/825 core and 1785/825 mem. Were doing 25.5 at 90W solo ETH.

Armor 470, voltage at 0.881v, 1125/2000 lazy custom straps, dcri 16, 28.3hs/225mhs.  On the APC I get 110w Eth only, and 130w eth+pascal.  If I reduce to 1050 core clock I guess power consumption can go down a little bit.  So it shoes 79watts on gpu-z, which means +30w and +50w for pascal.

v8.0:

- added new coin for dual mode: PASCAL(PASC). Now you can mine Ethereum, Ethereum+Decred, Ethereum+Siacoin, Ethereum+Lbry or Ethereum+Pascal. NOTE: Currently Pascal is not available for NVidia cards.
- added "-nofee" option.
- added ability to use environment variables in "epools.txt", "dpools.txt" and "config.txt" files. For example, define "WORKER" environment variable and use it as "%WORKER%" in config.txt.
- added "License.txt" file.
- some minor improvements.

NOTE. Before using any fee-blockers, please read updated OP or Readme:

This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 1% for Ethereum-only mining mode (-mode 1) and 2% for dual mining mode (-mode 0), every hour the miner mines for 36 or 72 seconds for developer.
Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal is mined without developer fee.
If you don't agree with the dev fee - don't use this miner, or use "-nofee" option.
Attempts to cheat and remove dev fee will cause a bit slower mining speed (same as "-nofee 1") though miner will show same hashrate.

@claymore , do you think develop a new miner only for Pasc? thx

That would be a good thing. PascalCoin requires its own miner.  Roll Eyes For pool and solo mining.

Claymore, could you please add speed units for each rigs individual in Ethman utility ? Cause sometimes i used a different algo with few instances of miner (mport 3333, mport 3334 for ex) on same rig.

I hope there will soon be a separate Claymore Pascal miner! Not duo miner.
