They have many coins for a new exchange. But the 0.5% rate is not as competitive, some exchanges go as low as 0.15%

Of course, sometimes we have issues with your transactions - bloating blockchain, missed payment ID, too small amount for exchange, etc.. As for new coins, we are looking for new promising on the market. Coins need to be listed on the top exchanges, like Poloniex and Bittrex, and have a regular exchanges turnover at least 50 BTC daily.

I suspect that exchange rate is because that's the Visa/Mastercard credit card rate, or simply the fiat to crypto rate, as I've just tried it and it shows the same massively bad rate.

However, if you check our the crypto to crypto rates, it's very competitive.

Great to hear about these updates, OP. Yeah good to see the rates have improved for fiat to crypto and you may want to work on that more as that's really the entry point for most newcomers who won't ordinarily be able to get crypto any other way.

Your crypto to crypto rates aren't very far off what I can find in alternative sites so good on that.

You may want to update on how many confirmations needed before a deposit is reflected. Common question.

Hey! Unfortunately, USD payments are temporary disabled due to our cards acquiring partner maintains update. Anyway you can calculate in EUR and pay with your USD bank card (or any other local currency worldwide), funds will be converted instantly with the low fee.

The quoted 'processing' rate is also a good bit lower than what it was during estimate, will it re-adjust when it actually goes through?

I appreciate the fact that you sent me a compensation of 50 Coins to cover my previous loss and i confirm that i have received it, i hope you do improve your service because i really like it. But at the moment im stepping back with big transactions, i wouldn't like to have them pending for hours. A good thing would be to state somewhere on your page the actual time it would take to do a transaction, but of course you would have to do it in the terms you state. Not approx 5 to 30 min and then have to wait 4hrs. Like when u convert xmr to and other you state that it can take upto 2 hrs or whatever it is.

Anyway thanks again for the compensation, looking foward to use your service (once it works 100% perfect :-)

I can vouch for this project, i've used it and it works.

It might take some time for the exchange to actually be completed unlike shapeshift but really i don't mind waiting a few more minutes to get better rates. Usually you'll get rates that are 1-3% better than shapeshift's rates.

I've used this with Steem and it works perfectly because how fast the Steem blockchain is.

Keep it up Changelly! And I love the credit card option too, although i haven't used it myself. Although it seems like the rates are a bit... On the high side, i guess.

Hi, I am posting to report my positive experience with Changelly's customer service & with their integrity.

TL;DR, I made a mistake entering the "Destination ID" on Ripple payment to Changelly, and ~172 ETH (~$8,600 USD equivalent) got mis-directed and sent to an unknown Ether wallet. Within 1 hour I realized my mistake, within 3 hours I had a reply from Changelly support team, and within 24 hours Changelly had properly credited to me the entire ETH balance.

Aside: my Bitcoin Forum account reads as "brand new," but that's only because this is my first post. I registered this account in 2013, as is visible in my profile details.

---- The full details of the situation ------

Yesterday (Sunday, ~9:40AM PST)  I made a Changelly exchange transaction (#5cec9d2f9128) to convert 932,000 XRP --> ~172 ETH.

I then executed a Ripple payment from my wallet to Changelly, amount 932,000 XRP. I got Changelly's Ripple wallet address correct -- BUT, I mis-typed the Destination ID field for the payment. (A Ripple transaction "Destination ID" is not to be confused with using the wrong Ripple wallet address. The Destination ID is just an accounting / memo field, it is not part of the actual cryptographic Ripple wallet address. If you send a payment to the *wrong wallet address* there is nothing Changelly or any other service can do for you...)

Changelly's internal system uses the Destination ID field to credit incoming XRP payments to the correct exchange transaction. But because I swapped digits, my 932,000 XRP exchange was credit to *someone else's ETH wallet.*  

It took me about an hour to realize this & figure it out. Once I did, I got very concerned because I was missing ~$8,600 USD in funds, seemingly disappeared into some unknown Ether wallet.

I contacted Changelly both via email & on their Reddit forum (/r/changelly) and recevied a first response back within about 3 hours. The early responses seemed a little "weak" because they implied that since I made the error in the Ripple payment DestiationID field, it might not be possible to recover my funds. It is understandable that they might give such a response because people are making this kind of data entry mistake all the time, so they are constantly dealing with tracking down these transactions. Sometimes people send money to the wrong wallet address (nothing Changelly can do about that,) or sometimes the amounts are very small ($1, $5, $10, etc.) and it can take time to track down the error and see if it is even possible to correct it.

But $8,600 USD equivalent is not something I would just walk away from. I have an understanding of crypto wallets & the difference between a "Destination ID" accounting field and an actual wallet address.  I got *very* concerned and wrote one or two respectful but strongly-worded messages, expressing that I did not think it was reasonable for a customer's funds to disappear just because the DestinationID field was wrong. (The system should have other checks & balances to prevent this.)

My communications to Changelly included all the relevant info, including Changelly transaction ID, and my Ripple payment transaction hash, which is:

Within another hour or two they said they were looking into it & would get back to me.

5 hours after that I got a message from Changelly confirming that they *could* retrieve (or reimburse) the full amount of my missing funds. I replied to that message after another few hours, to double-confirm my ETH wallet payment address, and within about another +2 hours, the full amount of the ETH had been credited back to my account.

What a relief.

So, the take-away here is that Changelly's system for handling user data-entry errors & typos could use some improvement. But most important, they took responsibility for the situation, carefully reviewed my case, and returned all of my funds to me.

I got a reply from Twitter, although nothing yet from support my friend messaged me saying thanks for sending the funds.

So they have been sent and arrived. Not sure what caused the delay but Changelly is a legitimate service. This was a large sum of money in excess of $5000 and they did process it eventually. To those who called them a scam they are anything but that, perhaps support is a bit slow at weekend but they did deliver in the end when they could have easily have kept the money.

I discovered Changelly today and I liked it from the beginning. Very uncomplicated and easy to use as it seems to me. I think it is very anonymous and unregulated especeally if you want to change cryptocoin to cryptocoin. I will try it first times with smaller amounts and if everything works well I´ll increase the amounts gradually. Since I´m searching for a trustworthy Exchanger I found such as Cryptonator and Livecoin and  I like them too but at first I think I´ll try it with Changelly and I hope Changelly proves to be safe and confident. Now I have tested it. First I changed 0.1 bitcoins in Dash, than 0.5 Dash in XRM and last 1 Dash in XRM. Everything worked quickly, cleanly and without problems. In all transactions the coins were in minutes on my wallets and the fees are allways only 5%. Very fair! That's exactly what I was looking for I think I´m staying.

I use Changelly to get alts coins for my portfolio thanks to their quick transfers I did like 6 to 8 transfers without problem but yesterday I tried transfering 2500 NLG to LTC but the transfer never processed. I did send a e-mail and they accepted the issue. But the exchange has still not happend yet.

Of course I update when the transfer got processed.

Update:

The transfer got processed fine today and they said sorry. The support work limited in the weekend that's why it took a bit. But they did a good exchange rate. I will turn this into a positive review. Most transactions do go quickly and this gulden transaction was part off the gulden wallet that caused a issue on their side for the NLG to not appear properly. So I can still recommand Changelly for fast transactions here. Thanks.

As you know our main exchange partner Poloniex is experiencing high pressure from traders and DDoS attacks. Unfortunately that is concerning all the market and our service as well. A few days ago Poloniex has increased anti DDoS protection for API requests, that was unexpectedly affected our integration, too. The problem was solved by their professional team. But they are still having issues with performance from time to time. We’ve partially switched exchanges to Bittrex, but only Poloniex has the biggest order book on the market. We hope they will solve all the scalability issues soon!
Another issue is Bitcoin network overload, day to day it’s about 200.000 transactions need to be processed. That’s another reason for the delay. Unfortunately, not everything is under our control. We've alerted our customers about the possibility of delay and not fixing the rates before making payment. Trading on the highly volatile market is always risky!

For the first step it seems was an issue with your Omni wallet. If you payment doesn't exist blockchain, we can't provide the exchange.
All the address pairs are reusable on Changelly. Once we receive your payment, we exchange it and send to the provided address from your initial request. We never have access to change addresses for the uncompleted exchange transactions. Chief compliance officer can do changes only in case of failed transaction by your support request from the proven email account. Anyway we are already on contact with you on twitter and going to provide investigation soon. But most probably you've got confused with the recipient address on your side, sorry.

Well I finally got a response today. They apologized for the delay and said I will receive my refund.

Absolute terrible, terrible support. So, basically what they are saying is:

1.  I paid 46 LTC to a Litecoin wallet address Changelly gave me, so I can convert to BTC
2.  For some reason, the LTC address Changelly system generated for the conversion process, doesn't exist in blockchain.  Who's fault is this?   Changelly's fault.
3.  Now that I have paid Changelly, based on LTC address they told me, the LTC Address now doesn't exist,  and Changelly cannot do anything about it.
4.  Now, they are saying it is NOT their problem, and I should contact Litecoin support to get my 46 LTC coins back in my wallet.

This absolutely the most terrible support ever. Changelly is a "joke", and they have "wash their hands" of their mistake, and passed the buck to their customers to resolve the issue.

"HELLLOOO Changelly", you gave me the LTC address (Changelly generated)  to send my 46LTC to, and that address was a "DUD". Why the HELL should I now, waste my time and effort to contact Litecoin Support to correct your "F@ck!ng" mistake??

Changelly support should be the one's who contact Litecoin support and say:

 "We f@cked up and generated a LTC address, and we told our customer to send his 46LTC to that address for a conversion process, and that LTC address is now faulty and doesn't exist in blockchain."

Instead, they Changelly wash their hands of this mistake, and tell the customer to resolve it.  Again, terrible , terrible support and I am still out 46LTC. 

So, to summarize:

My first time using Changelly has now been confirmed to be a horrendous nightmare. On top of Changelly's system being non-robust, unreliable and super buggy, Changelly's tech support seems to deny their wrong doing (bad LTC address generated), and they have passed the responsibility of retrieving the lost 46LTC to their customer.  Wow, amazing customer service, I say this with a lot of sarcasm.

Essentially they are saying: "Thank you for using our "buggy" system, the Litecoins you sent us our now in "LIMBO", it's not our fault, we do not want to clean this mess up.  Mr. Customer you clean it up, go and contact Litecoin.org support.

In conclusion: If you are reading this and you are new user,  I DO NOT RECOMMEND using Changelly simply based on the fact, that Changelly doesn't seem to accept responsibility for their systems problems, and does not admit to their fault.  Also , they are NOT willing to correct their mistakes when something goes wrong rather they pass the buck back to customers.

Please have in your support process, if you give a customer a "bad address" generated for sending crypto currency, and the transaction is in limbo, that you do
not tell the customer to contact crypto wallet support (litecoin.org).   Your company, your tech people should be the one's contacting crypto wallet suport (litecoin.org) and work with the crypto wallet support people to get things resolved, because at the end of the day, it was your system that generated the "bad address".   Not the customers fault, so don't tell the customer to waste their time and energy fixing your company's mistakes.

Please let me know if your tech support team is going to do anything for me.

The exchange rate for all coins is more or less same as shapeshift but you guys charge as additional 0.5% whereas shapeshift takes no fee.

Shapeshift earns their fee by exchanging at lower than market rates. So that means you guys basically charge us twice. You take your cut by exchanging at lower than market rates and also adding an extra 0.5% on top of that.

I was shocked at how much I got ripped off after exchanging a few BTCs today. High BTC TX fees + low exchange rate + high exchange fees together makes this service a no-go for me. I suggest you include the fee in your exchange rate so as to be more transparent. Currently, it appears as if you are competitive with Shapeshift but in reality Shapeshift is way faster and cheaper.

Also, as others have already mentioned, your currency conversion speed is just too slow which results in serious losses due to downward price movement. Yesterday it took about an hour to convert some ETH to BTC. By the time conversion was finished, the rate slipped so much that I was in great loss.

The exchange rate for all coins is more or less same as shapeshift but you guys charge as additional 0.5% whereas shapeshift takes no fee.

Shapeshift earns their fee by exchanging at lower than market rates. So that means you guys basically charge us twice. You take your cut by exchanging at lower than market rates and also adding an extra 0.5% on top of that.

I was shocked at how much I got ripped off after exchanging a few BTCs today. High BTC TX fees + low exchange rate + high exchange fees together makes this service a no-go for me. I actually stopped using Changelly after one guy complained here that he lost all his LTC coins during the currency conversion process. I would still like to know if anything can be done to recover his coins because I sure wouldn't want that to happen to me. I'm not rich, losing that many coins would be devastating to me.

Yes, the automation process should be made more fail-safe. All failed transactions should automatically revert the coins back to the sender's address without manual intervention. Shapeshift does this quite flawlessly.

I tried to move USDT from my address but my Omnicore client seems to not recognize that there are any USDT on this address (it sees incoming 31k USDT transaction, but still don't allow to send any from this address).

Here is what probably happend in light of my own research: transaction wasn't send correctly in Omni system (probably due to not enough confirmed USDT's on Your address at the time of transaction), and is was deemed invalid by omni chain. Basically my address is empty :/. It also means You can (and should) resend it.

I didn't want to fill a scam accusation on forum yet and I hope it can be resolved...

I order 50$ worth of XRP and the promissed to deliver 155 XRP (that makes around 0.322$ for 1 XRP Changelly.com / kraken price 38.73$ for 155 XRP making 0.249$ for 1 XRP at market price).

Not only that they charge more then 0.07$ for each XRP, but they send me 122 XRP IN TOTAL....
That makes the price 0.409$ for each XRP.....

I talked with there payment processor and gave them 2 days to sort it out (they promissed 20% REFUND = 10$) and refund me atleaset 20%. That will make my order 40$ for 122 XRP = 0.327$ for each XRP....

It is clear that this changelly is not a good exchanger to use right now. The rates they offer aren't that good compared to shapeshift anyways, except for maybe a 1-2% discount, but the product they deliver seems to be unsatisfactory. A lot of customers aren't satisfied with how their exchanges are going and although some are resolved the customers shouldn't have to go this far just to get what they were promised in the first place.

I've heard that Minergate is somehow related to the free wallet scam and is also related to Changelly... Can changelly please clear this up?

Recently Changelly has received some fake reviews. I like to say that I have used this service multi times the last 3 weeks and there have been zero problems. Yesterday (about 20h ago) I exchanged 3.2179 BTC to DOGE at about 17.7 satoshis per DOGE, which was only a little more than the average rate on most exchanges. This was done through Coinomi.

This exchange is still pending after almost one full day. It shows "Waiting for exchange". The Bitcoin TX where I made the payment is 0bef801b32e878da2778cf31e306fbda0f9a216f3e7ce7cbf5f5dcb2fcc1d59c.

Please check this and complete the transfer of about 18.1 million DOGE. Of course refunding the BTC wouldn't be acceptable because now the price of DOGE is considerably higher, as I'm sure you wouldn't consider refunding an option if the current DOGE price were much lower than when I made the exchange.


Update: After waiting almost one full week I received most of my BTC back, not 100%.

So this is how Changelly worked, at least this time, I guess this is standard for them:

• They took my 3.2179 BTC offering 18.1 million DOGE in exchange
• The DOGE price went up, from 17 to 27 satoshis. My 18.1 million DOGE went up to 4.887 BTC. After this waiting week it went down to 21 satoshis, still a big profit
• After creating tickets, PM'ing here, posting on reddint and being ignored for several days I finally got most of my BTC back
• I strongly doubt they didn't exchange a single coin. If they did exchange anything then they kept 100% of the profit for themselves, that's thousands of dollars
• They charged me all the fees, for both ways, even thought they said the exchange failed because of an issue on their side
• They won't explain what issue that was. This makes me think even more that the exchange was done and the issue was the sudden price increase.

To make it short: if the coin you buy goes down then you'll get the loss, if it goes up then you won't get the profit. On both cases you'll have to pay all the fees.

I strongly recommend not to use Changelly.com.

Hoping I can get a response or resolution since my post isn't appearing on the changelly subreddit and I keep getting stock "btc network is overloaded response" from the ticket when that isn't my issue. I opened a trade to exchange eth to BTC about 2 days ago. The transaction is #eaa4e24a0074 and the eth tx is here (0x8d7e4bae929054accf841976176551aa1753da1c73fe157835c1f18b9d76c324). My transaction was confirmed, exchanged and had been stuck in the sending to wallet phase for around 24 hours. I opened a support ticket and was given the generic "block chain is overloaded, please wait" response. The thing is, this isn't an issue of lack of confirmations, my transaction hasn't even been broadcasted on the blockchain. It is not in the mempool/an unconfirmed transaction as your support stated (my wallet shows no unconfirmed balance: https://blockchain.info/address/16HZ7cdyZJ8yJYspqtBVFfPgJJNcV1quw9). Its as if it was never sent. It has now been 36 hours and went I go to check my account history in case it had been sent. Now your page says the trade has was completed instead of "sending to wallet" and references the following output hash (409165e63484e210ab679a93a3a9871db75ed099bd866b1f989f5992c815fbaf). When I check the blockchain for that hash it says it doesn't exist and my wallet still doesn't show any confirmed or unconfirmed transactions. I would like the 63 ETH refunded since I never intended to hold btc this long or the BTC returned. Below I have linked a photo of the transaction history. Until this is resolved I cannot recommend using changelly.

So strange I get that they want to avoid duplicate support tickets but they need to just sticky a post in that subreddit saying use that the support email is the only method of support. Not deleting all new posts, it's hard to know your post has been deleted on Reddit.

I did get contacted by support, but they obviously didn't understand my request or just ignored what I wrote.

Slight problem Changelly, I have my Ripple transaction here saying that you received my Ripple.

I responded, clarifying the issue but it has been 10 hours now and still no response or Ripple.

My situation is VERY easy to fix, which is what makes me suspicious. I sent them Ripple to do a conversion, their system never picked up that they received the Ripple for whatever reason (I used the correct address and destination tag). I no longer want the conversion to go ahead because it's been over a day since I initially did it. So I want them to send the Ripple back to the address that I gave them. So they need to just check their wallet for my payment (checking the destination tag and amount), then just send some ripple. It could be done in under 5 minutes.

I will keep this thread updated.

I Use the coinomi wallet and mostly exchange using shapeshift. Never had to wait for an hour or even more like with changelly. This is already the third time I exchange coins that they are taking far too long. Now it's been over 3hours since they received my coins, the first time I even had to wait a couple of days. Having troubles is something that can always happen but not like this. Right now I'm losing money because I can't use my coins because changelly is'nt such an instant exchange after all. I get that bitcoin and ether are having slow transactions but I'm not converting either of them.

U Guys really need to fix this or people are going to stop trusting your exchange.

A lot of services have been affected by the rapid increase in crypto volumes, but at least they keep their users updated. Changelly seems to be going to the other extreme, censoring users comments on reddit and maintaining a stoic silence. Plus they seem to be selectively clearing transactions. No wonder people are worried.

i've decided to try changelly around 3 hours ago after paid btc with 14 confirmation i still cannot get my exchanged coin. worse of all the rates keeps changing at the site moving up & down as i'm writing. i would assume when i does go through i will never get that better rates when i initiated the exchange. i should hv listen to some of the negative comments posted here. i hv many transactions with shapeshift without much delay at most is less than 1 hour after payment by btc even with less confirmation i still get my exchanged coins. i don't think i will ever use them again. why? because you will never get that good rates by the time exchange concluded. btw my transaction isstill in exchange mode not sure how long before i get my coins will update here when i get them

while i understand it's christmas eve i had a transaction to exchange BCH to LTC on 22nd DEC your website stated transaction completed, my payment to you was successful however when I check receiving hash i don't see you sending any LTC to my address (my receiving address was used twice not sure if that was o.k but i assume it should be fine tho) i hv sent 2 ticket about this and still waiting for response it's been 16 hours now.

Frankly i see many complaint about your bad customer service response time but I hope this transaction will be resolve soonest. After having problem on my first transaction (it was settled eventually but never did get any ticket reply from you tho) i thought you may have been overloaded with orders so I continued supporting you knowing that there's many complaint here but now i end up with this failed transaction (website stated completed) leaving me with zero LTC. I have a problem when trying to setup the payment buttons...

I want to set a flat usd amount like $29.99 and I want to let my buyers to pay me $29.99 worth of any coin on your service and I receive the coins or have them converted to the coin of my choice (like btc) but the current payment button maker does not let me do this.

I need to set a USD amount that will change the amount needed to pay with each coin they choose to pay with and then have the payment converted to btc on my end.


I feel a lot more merchants would use your service if you got this working well.

after 7 days of nightmare no way i'm going to use Changelly ever again. Think about it what if they kept their silence one fine day what can you do about it. If they can treat customer like SHIT for days what guarantee they won't do it again. They asked us to send 1 ticket at a time but they themself never reply a single ticket. This is not how a real business does in real world I suspect they are not a business man at all just a bunch of tech geek programmer etc..... I also got 'server error' on first try. 2nd try worked and I sent a significant amount of BTG to exchange for BTC.

According to the status page the exchange went through successfully. And it states "Your money has been exchanged. Blockchain is confirming your transaction." - However when checking any block explorer it is clear they did not make any transaction (it is not in the mempool). This has been the case for hours, even though the page stated the process would complete in 30-50m.

I really hope they are not running away with my coins. I was hesitant to use them but could not find any other exchange that would take my BTG (Bitfinex, Bittrex nor Binance are accepting new users currently... so that left Changely for me)

What happens in this scenario? Is this exchange cancelled? Does Changelly process whatever it can? Can the money be refunded if the transfer can't be done?

Changelly, are already gone around 30 hours without any response to my support requests and not even getting my coins. This is very sad and not serious. Transaction id: d04b6250c3fb. Have to say that after 15 minutes they got my transfer and their exchange step was done. If what you say is not true (which I think is more probable): you saw DOGE increased a lot after the exchange so you decided to hold my coins for several days, sold my DOGE, kept the profit and sent my BTC back charging me every fee. If DOGE had gone down during those days I'm sure I would have received the DOGE instead of my BTC.

We'll never know for sure whether you scammed me or whether you were simply unprofessional, irresponsible and dishonest. In any case I'll never use your services again and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Hi! It seems that we missed your question and we are sorry for that. Could you please specify what minimal amount is confusing to you and also the exchange option you've picked (float/fixed rate)? Basically, these amounts are based on several factors such as network fees on both sides (input and output currencies), our fee so that our system could order a transaction to be sent from the market is the minimum amount that allows guaranteeing smooth and safe processing of your transaction.
It's vital to mention that recently, we lowered minimum amounts for all crypto-to-crypto exchanges. For example, the minimum amount to exchange #BTC to #ETH is now 0.0003 BTC only!

I am going to post some accusations against Changelly that are UNDENIABLE,  so in reality,  they arent actually "accusations",  they are FACTS proven by both BTC and Firo ledgers as well as their OWN centralized DB ledger.  I dont know if this rises to the level of needed a "SCAM" thread or not, so I'm using their own service thread instead.

When the situation occurred,  I recognized it IMMEDIATELY and I began the 'support' process as early as I could since I knew that that possibility of the TX ID disappearing was extremely high which would result in my losing everything if I didnt get it documented early while the TX still existed.  However,  this situation does NOT excuse their actions at this point.  They could have been MUCH more forthcoming with truthful information and they chose to be deceitful and give run-around answers instead.  Decisions have consequences and they are going to learn this today.

So on Jan 20th 2021 I exchanged 0.00302680 BTC for 18.71027775 Firo via Changelly using a "Fixed" rate as seen in their TX SS below (https://prnt.sc/10lnupi).  That same day Firo had a MASSIVE 51% attack that re-orged an ENTIRE day's worth of TXs which included their TX of Firo from their Firo address (which in the end turned out to be a BINANCE address) to my Firo address.  I then tried to send that Firo to another address and it kept failing and I couldnt figure out why.  My wallet (Coinomi) reported that it was in my balance, but it kept aborting with an error everytime I tried to send it.  So I checked the TX id and it had changed from "Confirmed" to "Unconfirmed".  I have only seen that happen in 51% attack situations.  So I checked the Firo discord and noticed others were complaining about the same thing.  Then an hr later the dev for Firo confirmed that it was being attacked with a discord announcement.  After that announcement,  I quickly emailed Exchangelly to tell them about the situations and that they would have to re-send the TX as it was reversed.  I did NOT expect them to do this right away so I was very lenient on them and gave them PLENTY of time to rectify the situation.  But once Firo returned the attackers funds to all exchanges and I STILL wasnt refunded,  my patience with the situation ENDED.  I still have not received ANY kind of refund be it BTC or Firo.  They have BOTH.  Both the BTC ledger AND The Firo ledger confirms it.  Since Feb 2nd there has been NO EXCUSED for their continued reluctance to refund me in SOME manor.  So,  I'm here to share the story with others with the intent to HURT their reputation based SOLELY on decisions they made.  Had the attackers funds NOT been refunded,  I would be happy to take the loss and would have given them a pass (even if I was almost certain they didnt lose anything because I couldnt be 100% certain,  however that isnt the case here).

Here is a timeline of events:

Jan 20th 8:30am:  I make an exchange for BTC to Firo via Changelly
Jan 20th 1:14pm:  Firo confirmation TX comes in of completed Changelly TX
Jan 20th ~3pm: I try to transfer Firo to another address and it fails
Jan 20th ~6pm:  Reuben confirms 51% attack
Jan 20th 9pm:  First email to them.  They were courteous as was I.  I told them about 51% attack and what to expect in the coming days/weeks.  They reply with vague "technician" is looking into it.  (What they are "looking into", who knows,  theres nothing to investigate since its all in the ledgers)
Jan 20th: Attack is halted
Jan 21st:  I ping them for an update.  They return with the same "Technician is investigating" claim again.  Ok,  whatever.  It's still early.
Jan 21st:  Attacker comes back with a vengeance because Reuben was able to LOCK their funds in the address they consolidated it to and FAIL.
Jan 22nd:  Reuben starts a thread on Firo forums asking community what to do with the funds he locked up from the attacker.  I voted to release them to the attacker because I believe in decentralization,  not centralization even if it means I'm going to lose because of it.
Jan 24th:  Surprisingly out of the blue without me asking them they reply to me with "We have investigated the case with the exchange partner, so it looks like your transaction is being resent now.  Once it receives enough confirmations, the amount will reach your wallet."  This seems to coincide with Reuben's post, so I think it could be truthful (At this point I didnt know they did this knowing it wasnt truthful),  so I was still patient with them.
Jan 24th: I confirm that NO such TX was ever made to my original Firo address so I give it a few days just in case.
Jan 29th:  I email them to tell them no such TX was ever made. I also ask them what exchange they are having to work with.  BTW,  I already knew who it was, but wanted to see what they would say because I was slightly suspicious that NO TX was ever attempted and I knew that the attack was over long ago.  They work with BINANCE,  I got this info from Binance themselves when I made a support ticket about the situation.  This is an important fact because it's Binance that was the target of the attack and to which the Firo would be returned (along with a couple other smaller exchanges).
Jan 30th:  They reply that they dont give out the exchange info.  But they NEVER address the fact that their own claim that the funds were returned was indeed factual.  They ignored it.
Feb 2nd 5:02am:  Firo releases version of Firo that REFUNDS the attackers funds to the exchanges
Feb 2nd 5:16pm:  I again remind them I have not been reimbursed yet.  I tell them I would be satisfied with refund in either BTC or Firo (At this point I am STILL patient with them but that soon ends after the next email).
Feb 2nd 7:18pm:  They are back again with the "Technician is investigating".  Investigating what?  That you've lied about a TX twice now?  They are just giving me the run-around at this point and it's EXTREMELY obvious since there is nothing to "Investigate".  You cant "Investigate" a blockchain ledger.  Either it IS or it ISNT.  There is no "maybe".  Companies who are trying to use 1920s "run-around answers" with 21st century blockchain ledgers are NOT going to fare very will in the 21st century.  Blockchains sole purpose is to ELIMINATED those types of situations,  not continue to make them viable excuses.
Feb 5th:  Block 343312  clears out hackers funds to be redistributed to exchanges from which they came originally.  After this date,  there is NO EXCUSE AT ALL that I should not be refunded.  This is the date where I lost ALL PATIENCE with them and it's clear in my next few interactions with them.
Feb 22nd:  I email them telling them I have STILL not received ANY kind of refund or Firo from them.  I am CLEARLY not happy in this email to them.  I also warn them about making this a public issue if the problem is not rectified soon.
Feb 22nd:  This is their reply:  We are sorry for this delay. Unfortunately, our team is highly overloaded right now, however, we'll send an urgent query to our tech team regarding your case. Once the issue is resolved, you'll be immediately informed.   (needless to say, I've NEVER been contacted ever since.)
Feb 23rd:  I reply to them that if I'm not refunded at the end of the day,  that the next time they hear from me will be to provide them with a link to a public SHAMING of this experience.  And that is the end.  You're now reading this because I have STILL NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM CHANGELLY.
Feb 23rd:  They actually replied with:  "We are still processing this case. We appreciate you patience."  to which I promptly ignored because it's CLEAR what their intentions are at this point,  which is to do NOTHING.
Mar 14th:  It's been almost a month,  I have received NOTHING from them,  not even an email,  so it's time to put this out in the public as I promised and give them the link.

So the only one that lost out in this TX was ME.  Not Changelly.  You will be next if you continue to use Changelly,  it's just a matter of time before they get you.  They will use any excuse in the book to either not send you anything at all OR send you LESS than what you were supposed to get in the first place.  You have been warned.

Transactions are very fast after my payment is confirmed.
I cannot buy a Polkadot coin. I do not find this coin on the exchange list, although I could have bought it a few weeks ago.
Is this a temporary lock or is this coin no longer available on your service?
