Statistically we can never tell how many users use bitcoin because other users are so anonymous as the understand the true purpose of bitcoin but I would say 3% of the world population is made up of crypo users

We can't know everything what is happening on the internet, especialy having in mind the deep web so it's hard to make any estimation. Still with overal acceptance and especialy with high price the number of users is probably increasing and people are changing their opinion about the Bitcoin for the better.
A rising price of BTC does is not necessarily caused by the increasing number of users. This might be an empty pump from the rich traders who dont have anything better to do with their free time. Please keep that in mind. That can be one of the causes of the price increase in bitcoin lately, but I think the population who is using bitcoin is also increasing with the time. I can't estimate what is the real number who actually using it, but we start to see more place who accept bitcoin. Well for my own speculation we are 23% of population who are using bitcoin.. and i think we are increasing but we can say that we are fast growing but we are gradually increasing. that is why the price right now are gradually increasing and i think more people will use bitcoin and more demand will come.. If you think that 23% of the population use BTC right now then please show us your proof. Until you can show me the hard numbers and statistics your speculation has no bearing and is not backed up by facts. Why would we believe a random person in this forum who is sometimes surely brain farting from his mouth. That number which is 23% is too dreamy and really far from the actual number even today only 40% of people in this world "have" an internet connection according to this site which showing the statistics: http://www.internetlivestats.com/internet-users/ . If you're trying to ask people in your office, your neighbours, or wherever then I guess you will find out not more than 3 of 10 people you were asking will know bitcoin

true nature of bitcoin an anonymous makes the user difficult to be seen. and I want to ask you. if you say that bitcoin users can not be calculated, how do you calculate estimation number bitcoin users, so you say 3%?

You can't really tell how many but you could just estimate. It's all about that like the human population, it's hard to say the actual number. You can't count your hair but you could estimate. It increases everyday for sure, some maybe just use it for business but not always being used.
I think its even more difficult to count the people because there are like 1000 addresses being used by a single person or a company. Like primedice uses 10000000 or more addresses which is obviously required too. So impossible to count.

true you can only make estimates or predictions of course, no way to calculate the exact total bitcoin users. but perhaps it estimates it could describe the number of users bitcoin that's right. we can use statistic theories to count, but the result will not be the exact number of people using bitcoin. besides there is a factor that makes the count cannot be measured exactly. if we count it based on wallet address, then there is a person who has some address right? so it would be difficult to count it exactly.

It's not only difficult to name up the exact number of people that are using Bitcoin, but another difficult point is what people think a Bitcoin user is. Is it someone that is using Bitcoin once or twice a week, is it someone that is using Bitcoin at least once a month... I think the closest point where we can get an answer to that, is when wallet services, exchanges, gambling sites, etc, bundle their power to share user information with each other to come up with a number. It won't be fully accurate, but at least much more accurate than all the guesses we find here.

Exactly, I do not know if someone have mentioned it before but it is a very ambiguous question and as was mentioned by the guy above, if we consider in which period, can be(hours, days, month, and so on) add commonness, etc, so having said that, everybody can estimate the level of use approximately and see if more people are using this or not, one is to see the statistics of the network, for example the volume and quantity of daily transactions in different periods of time.

Now the network has about 10 million active wallets, which owns approximately 7 million users. It can be estimated that at least 15% of the world's population will use cryptocurrencies in the future. This means that at least 1 billion people will use cryptocurrencies in the long run.

I think you can not be still estimate even you are counting the daily transaction from the blockchain we can not consider the amount of daily transaction will be the same number of bitcoin users.. how about for other that actually not using bitcoin for daily transaction and they are dealing for a long time before they are receive or send bitcoin.. You can not determine how much people are using bitcoin because many people are using using multiple accounts. .

Personally, I don't see any particular purpose in having this info even if the number of Bitcoin users can be more or less accurately assessed. As I said it before, this metric has no real importance for anything other than sheer curiosity. The only useful metric which comes close to the number of users is the number of transactions processed per unit of time since it allows to objectively evaluate the expansion (or contraction) in Bitcoin adoption as well as find possible bottlenecks, for example, by the number of unconfirmed transactions

But I believe that choosing the right parameters, making comparisons and doing questionnaires, it would be possible, in fact, to make an estimate with an acceptable margin of error.

I bet if you really do a real live survey and ask around in a country like Kenya that statistic would be more like 1 out of 50. I dont know where he got 23% but it sure sounds like a loud brain fart to me and obviously to you too.

Exactly that. It's surely not a necessity, but more something that quite some people find interesting to know. I too would find it interesting to know even though I won't gain anything from it directly. If you purely look at the number of transactions, then yes, it's fairly easy to assume that the adoption/usage has gone through the roof. But as always, you have to rule out a large portion of these transactions as they are dust or coming from one or more entities.

Bitcoin becomes interesting instantly as soon as you say that you doubled your money (or at least half of it) without moving a finger. I bought about 0.06BTC last summer, and I bought it when the price was around $600. Now I almost doubled that amount, because the price just keeps going faster and faster up with every day passing by. I am able to tell anyone about it and make them interested in it as soon as I tell them about it. What's even more interesting is the price. Tell anyone that you bought a currency that's worth $1020 and trust me, they'll love to hear more about it.

I think it's impossible to say, but the number will grove as the price of BTC rise. To know the approximately number of people would interest large companies like Amazon, Ebay etc. when implement BTC as payment method, to see it is worthed or not. For the rest of people (miners, traders etc.) is irrelevant of course, more and more users will bring in a variety of large investors. bitcoin we believe that the future will be powered by a variety of important components that exist in the world economy today.

So if Doge price is going up right now would you consider that the Doge economy is also having a success now? How can you say that if Doge doesnt even have an economy behind it? Bitcoin's price rise and fall is due to speculative buying and selling and its not solely because its economy is successful. Your comment shows how shallow your thinking is.
