This looks like a great project what is still under the radar.

Marketcap is not so high yet so I think Heat is a nice one to add to my portfolio.. Smiley

Moreover, an important release is just around the corner - a fully functional high speed decentralized asset exchange Smiley

Average price on the exchanges is now 7714 Sats, still below the level 2 btc ICO price of 8552. Volume is still low, but starting to pick up (at least above 1 btc now). HEAT is currently number 3 on the top 24 hour performer list. Testnet has survived extensive testing today, multiple servers running automated trading on the HEAT AE. 5 transactions per second (tps) is currently working fine, continuously over many hours. In total more than 200,000 automated transactions have been made since yesterday evening on testnet. I expect that mainnet will be updated in a few days, including enabling of the HEAT AE.

Thesw guys are shills for this scam. This coin went up in value, sure; however, with only $1000 traded the increase means nothing. I mean seriously... if I sold my coins this coin would be worth sub 100 thousand. Dont fall for scams.

Is it reasonable to still expect 1000tps from this project when fully operational or has this estimate been reduced ? Thanks.

Yes, the project promised a 1000tps capacity... Well, I fell for it.

So you have a need for 1000tps for your business right now? Or are you satisfied if this project will evolve and gain real world business attention in say a year or two?

Really think about it. If these heat guys only wanted to steal your money they would have been long gone. You don't have low enough iq to think this is a scam. Some bumps on the road like in any project reaching for new territories for sure. But why in the world would someone actively go on developing and testing and keeping it up if the whole thing was only created to scam you?  Roll Eyes

Valid point, the volume is currently low. But, that argument could also be used the other way. On Alcurex it would take less than 1btc to bring the price above 10,000 Sats. Volumes will increase significantly when the HEAT AE is enabled again (expected to happen soon).
The difference is that if someone bought heat they would not be able to sell it for the price that they bought. I can buy it up to a 1 bill mkt cap, but who would be willing to buy? At least with the sell position getting money back is guaranteed. No one wants to buy a beta scam coin above a 1 mill mkt cap.

Someone said there is no will to buy. Join slack please, there are people buying all the time. And here was an announcement of a 250k purchase. That is quite a few BTC to be invested.

Folks, keep an eye on the following two links. Great things may be launched soon  Smiley

https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger-test/releases
https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger/releases
Looks like the next release will be tomorrow. At least on testnet, but perhaps also on mainnet. This is the big event we have been waiting for since the ICO started, July 2016 Smiley Feel sorry for those impatient souls who sold out at 3k sats.

Are you Svante? you sound like him:) just talking about higher prices, like in case of first FIMK scam by Svante.

https://steemit.com/bitshares/@ash/current-bitshares-testnet-stress-test-highlight-3300tx-14000ops

bitshares made record of 3300 tps and 14000 ops. 2 years ago they were at 1000 tps.

i am sure heat will reach this numbers soon too...

Congratulation to stable network. thats the first steps

Testnet survived the night. A stable rate of 5tps was achieved on multiple servers across 5 geographically distributed regions (Finland, Germany, Netherlands, France and USA). Multiple accounts forging (see Generators in the screenshot above). Up until height=33189 there have been a total of 374,224 transactions in testnet. The tps rate of HEAT will be further optimized in upcoming releases, but already now HEAT is close to matching bitcoin's rate of max 7tps.

The HEAT devs have demonstrated dedication to the project, a total of 28 releases have been put on github since January, see: https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger-test/releases and https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger/releases. What is new is a dedicated group of people performing stress testing of the network with geographically distributed testnodes. For future tests with tps up to 1000, additional testnodes located in Asia will be added.

This is cool.
Does it help to have more RAM for the memory mapped database?
What are hardware requirements to sustain a high tps rate on HEAT?

Different testnodes have been used. Most nodes have 2GB RAM, but some low-end machines with 512Mb have also been tested. With 2GB it is actually possible to forge with both HEAT and NXT on the same node at the same time and hence participate in your lucky node lottery, if you can support both  Smiley

This is great, keep up the good testing work!

I can run a lottery if a HEAT whale donates to the lottery jar.

Latest news from Slack:
  • New mainnet release is coming out today.
  • Forging enabled. Rewards will be enabled some blocks in the future to not have everyone dive on that at once.
  • The download will have a hardcoded moment within a few days.
  • HEAT Asset Exchange enabled.

It is finally happening, the patience is finally rewarded! Keep an eye on it here: https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger/releases. Not sure if the wallet will be updated too today, but keep an eye on it here: https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heat-ui/releases

Please update your servers. Mandatory update!

Heatledger 0.9.29 - The HEAT is on!

Heatledger 0.9.29

This is a mandatory update, all nodes on older versions must update.

While on [testnet](https://github.com/Heat-Ledger-Ltd/heatledger-test) 7 other releases have come and gone please refer to testnet repo for details on those.

This release fixes most if not all of the forking issues we experienced before plus it enables the new realtime websocket connectors already integrated in both the web and desktop clients.

Forging rewards stay disabled. When this release proves to be stable we will put out another release which will enable forging rewards. This is to be expected by Friday 7'th of April.
