Hello,
I need to be whitelisted because I just created a new Bitcoin WebHost. I want to start advertising it immediately.
I used to be a Miner, I understand all the rules completely.

I registered in order to be able to answer the latest question about setting gpu voltage in BAMT in lodcrappo's thread, being a personal friend of his for almost 20 years and familiar with his work (to a reasonable extent). [the answer is use the "core_voltage" parameter, which can be gleaned from common.pl in BAMT or by reading the entire thread, especially page 3, rather than being a giant douche]

I've been mining since the beginning of June (not quite a noob), and would not normally post anything, since I typically just call up lodcrappo ;-).  I was just browsing the BAMT thread (he likes to yell if you call him up asking about BAMT before reading all the posts - probably also why he didn't respond to that [plastic.elastic's] request - he hates people who don't read full threads even more than I do.  Speaking of which, how did someone like plastic.elastic get released from the noob dungeon if s/he doesn't know or can't be bothered to read (or at least search) entire threads?

Hi!  I'm also looking to post elsewhere in the forum.  Would have helped me yesterday trying to install cgminer! Although I must say, two very nice bitcoiners helped me in the newbie section.  I've unashamedly added my freebitcoins.org link in many posts, though I wouldn't consider that spam!

White-list, here i come....!

Another lurker looking to get whitelisted. I'm looking to purchase BTC outside the exchanges and looking to get feedback about my soon-to-be-launched btc-only store.

Unfortunate lurker caught in the wave of new regulation. I lurked the mining and economics forums back in May of this year, and I have been casually mining on BTCGuild. I also have sent PMs before the restrictions - I was quite surprised when it suddenly told me I wasn't allowed to send them anymore! I thought something was wrong with my account until I found out about this board!

This was my first addition to the forums:
http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=31525.msg398968

Would like to discuss bitcoin nextgen protocol enhancements at a technical level on the forums.

I'm also about to relaunch a mtgox automation suite of services in a few days that might interest users.

Posting my fifth post on this thread Smiley.

Hope to get out of newbie restrictions to be able, e.g., to offer translator services (native language Finnish) for project development.

Hello! I am in desperate need to sell some items for BTC on this site to get an offer from a friend that will soon pass. I have tried everything to get BTC (buy purchasing it) and wasted hours. Now I'm stuck with a $110 gift card that I must sell, and I also want to become an avid member of the community and learn alot more about the power of bitcoins.  Cool

I registed a year and a half ago.  I used to be able to post anywhere.  I came back this summer and could only post here.  I made a thread about this how my account is so old and has more than 17 posts and still I can only post here.

Hey, I'm hoping to get whitelisted in order to try contacting The MadHatter (since it appears that PMs aren't allowed for me yet) - I'm trying to get hold of some BTC in order to purchase a VPS for running various I2P-related services on, but my very first batch of BTC from him got stuck inside MyBitcoin and I can't even file a claim because the form rejects my password (that's the other reason I wish to get whitelisted), so I want to order some more but using money he already has from me (I overpaid for the first lot).

Ironically, this attempt to filter out spammers is turning legit users into spammers, until they reach their 5 post limit.

Reverse incentives FTW.

Hi there,

I would like to submit a request to be whitelisted.

I have been registered on the forums for about 2 months now, durring which I've racked up a lot of bitcoins via mining and playing the buy low sell high game.
And now I'm itchy to spend some of it in the marketplace.

On top of that, I'd like to be able to have a place to discuss bitcoin topics if something like the MTGox incident were to ever happen again.

Thank you for your time.

PS:
Please feel free to reference my profile at Overclock.net to confirm I'm not a troll/bot:

Hi guys,

I'd like to get whitelisted. I made a topic in the newbie section about pushpoold but understandably no-one replied to it. If I get whitelisted I can ask it in the proper topic.

I'm not new to bitcoin, I have been following it for a while now and reading a lot of stuff. I have like 8 years of experience in PHP so I'm thinking about writing my own pool frontend.

Regards

I would like to be on the whitelist as well.

Since I don't feel there's anything for me to ask or post about in the
newbies section, I haven't done so.
If I did that just to make 5 posts, I would be spamming, and that would be
very much out of character for me.
I must've been reading forum threads for a total of 100+ hours or
more, as I've done so for several weeks before I registered, from other places
than at home, sometimes I forgot to log in, or couldn't remember the
password (the browser remembers it for me, as I use a different pw for each
website/forum) when I wasn't at home.

I've used Debian since March 1999, and (x)ubuntu for about two years, and I
was already clued in about hashsums and their applications years before joining
here.
It only took me two days to get a mining-pc with Ubuntu 10.10 up and running
from a cold start, once I had the time(vacation) to do so.
There were some very useful clues in the mining/support threads. Didn't need
to ask questions about it.

While reading the forum threads I've several times wanted to;
- reply to someone, as I've found the answer to their problem in another
thread or elsewhere.
- contact someone about their mining pool, to give feedback, suggest a
feature, or request something.
- ask a non-basic question, which the search function or Google couldn't
give me an answer to.

all of which I couldn't..

Also, I'm an old-school overclocker, and I think I found a little 'trick' that most people don't know about.
I would like to post about it in the right place, instead of in the newbies section.

Btw; Wouldn't a karma / user-moderation-system work better, such that if
your karma went too low, you could only post in the newbies section?
Perhaps (also) a meta-moderation system like slashdot's?
