I'm up to 2:14 online and 6 posts - but it would be nice to be able to post in the Development and Technical Section. I'm a co-founder of a BitCoin startup, CoinLab.com, and I'd like to participate in discussion about ways of improving the client and other BitCoin services.
Thanks, Mike Koss CoinLab.com Seattle, WA

I want to be out of here!
What I want to be able to do is to try and seperate the bitcoin network from transacting in only bitcoins.
And instead try and create a system where people trade rights to assets.
Aka. turn the bitcoin network into an open-source open-network ETF exchange.
Also I want to know how the transactions work, I read the wiki page.
But it seems like there doesn't exist a proper time/fee mechanism as stated in the wiki.
The wiki depicts a picture where the block node chooses whether to accept the transaction after it has the block.
It thus seems that a rational block would accept all transaction fees greater than 0.
Thus assuming rationality, a 1000bitcoin transaction with a 1bitcent fee would get the same execution time as a 1000bitcoin transaction with a 1000bitcoin fee.

Can I get whitelisted? I've tried to make intelligent posts. FWIW, one of my main interests in life is monetary economics and I think I can make some meaningful contributions to this forum.

I would like to get out off here so I could use different parts of the forums, discussing ideas for a project we are working on in order to get Bitcoins out to a broader audience. I just did a trade via these boards but I couldn't reply to the thread and had to make a private message ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=53446.0 trade was done with this guy and it worked perfectly) I'm interested in many parts of the forum, discussing ideas in order how to make Bitcoins easier for new users and it's use for virtual items trading. I also have a interest in the Scandinavium section since I'm from Sweden. I was at the Bitcoin-conference in Prague this weekend and meet some cool guys and had a very interesting week. I'm using this whitelist thread because I don't want to be posting in order just to post.

I thought I'd celebrate my 4 hour mark by making this post stating that I have met the requirements to be released from newbie-tory. I've browsed the other forums, and am looking forward to participating in them.

Hello,
If possible, I would like to get this account whitelisted. I am currently running a 6950 with I7 2600k and I realized this isn't much but I hope this will be a productive beginning. I have done some research on Bitcoin, Litecoin, I0, IXC, Solidcoin, Namecoin and Devcoin along with their respective mining pools. Right now, I have questions I would like to post in Elitist Jerks' mining pool thread regarding their payout structure so I would like to exit the newbie section. Thanks!
Best, John

I'm a noob of course and probably just as knowledgeable as any other non-professional programmer whose career revolves around the tech industry.
My main goal here is to develop a deeper understanding of how to FULLY anonymize the trail of bitcoins for the average user.
I think that the concept is marvelous, but we need more mainstream acceptance beyond, essentially, Silk Road and hackers who need money.
even still, there are people who value their privacy, and any google search will tell you that bitcoins are NOT private, so long as the investigating party is motivated enough.
an example of a bitcoin user, who is not a criminal of any kind (regardless of moral interperetation of the law(s)) would be a businessman or politician who has interests that lie outside of the cultural norms of a christian moral dominated society.
if that person, who has every right to his own privacy (so long as it is does not harm anyone) were to be detected because an extremely motivated journalist decided to follow the trail of his BTC transactions back to the source.... well thats bad.
I dont judge anyone.
I just want to develop a "noob guide"
that gives step by step instructions, and various EASY TO UNDERSTAND (with explicit, literally grade school level) explanations of what to do: "click here, type number in this box, click again, wait 20 minutes, check email, etc.)
thus my main interest here is with regards to services like mixers/laundry, or any other anonymization algorithm that may be different from the generic concept of just "massive iteration" randomly valued BTC transfers over the course of random periods of time spread over hours or days.
I am also intersted in cash services, but I realize that their very nature is sketchy, so I'm not about to trumpet their existence to the whole world.
anyway, that is my reason for joining this forum.... its one of the mixing grounds for the BTC communitities, and a great place to start researchiing
