Then surely a 1 BTC donation should be able to buy us newbies out of newbie-jail? Or deposited as some sort of non-trolling bail?
Great idea. Except for those of us trying to get into the main site so we can buy a small amount of BTC off a trusted member and try out our new found linux usb/cold storage/wallet knowledge! I like the donation idea! Or, hell, even a refundable fee, returned to you after 90-180 days. I guess a simple work around would to be to use Auto Reload every few minutes on the site....would that not get you to your required 4 hours of "trolling" ?!?!

Truthfully I understand the restrictions, and think they're a good idea.
Looking forward to contributing once I'm off probation.

After nearly a year and a half reading this forum I've decided to make an account. Hopefully by the end of the day I'll be post-worthy!

It's hard to rack up four hours online.
I've been reading this forum for a couple of months now but my profile says I've only been logged in for 2 and a half hours.

I bought a gaming PC for gaming but then discovered that all the games were not any fun. They're all just shooting people or busy work.
So now I have this machine with two Radeon 7970's sitting doing bitcoin mining all day while I'm at work and sleeping.
I spent 3BTC on test transactions to make sure I could actually turn bitcoins into money, then I started saving.
I'm going to save the bitcoins until the market peaks then cash them out.
I'm anticipating that the market value for BTC should increase significantly after the difficulty doubles, and then again after the ASIC miners have been released.
I've ordered one ASIC from Butterfly Labs and one from BTC, so whoever ships first I'll be in the first batch.
I figured it made more sense to order one from each company because no matter who ships I'll still be able to go profitable after a few weeks.

Probably wrong place for this but here it goes anyway. Litecoin mining, I set up and tested 2-7970's using cgiminer. I also did the same for 58xx and 69xx series. The issues I am having are: The 58xx and 69xx series did well and showed decent hash rates both in the miner and on the account stats page, showing roughly the same rates. The 7970's did not. Cgiminer showed a combined rate of 1100+ kH/s yet the account stats page was not even close. I let it run for 30-45 minutes and I don't think I saw over 25 kH/s. No crashes and ran very well. Anyone have any ideas?

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:
