Guys, I was a very big fan and long time user of windows XP, used it for at least 10 years, refused to change to win 7 but then I saw the first exploits, without going on any malicious site, without opening any .exe or without downloading basically anything, I just got myself a rootkit, the antivirus couldn't even detect it (avast, the only time avast failed me was on XP) because system files were exploited, not infected. Back then I didn't have any crypto or any kind of money on the PC (2010~) but if you handle money on the PC, don't use OS that has no updates at least monthly, linux has daily, windows has monthly big packages. If you are in crypto, you gotta say win XP bye once and for all.

Guys , why not use linux - ubuntu mate for example for wallets? Less problems with malware, less issues with viruses. wallets working great on this distro and this can be done next to win install on the same drive.

Yeah, or at least linux mint, it's very similar to windows, you can get used to very easily, can even put it on a usb and boot live from it and use it only for byteball if you want.

It is 7th, always at the full moon (Which is not same date every month). In september it is 6th. Just search google for full moon and you can see.

ok... so I downloaded the byteball win32 wallet and installed it
but when I run it, I am getting error splash screen "Windows XP is not supported" and close down
is this true I cannot run it on xp, why no warning at the installation process?
anyway to bypass this to run the wallet? perhaps with added parameters at command line
please help... only a couple days left for airdrops

U can always try to :

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to where the program is located. Then...

Right click on the program file (the .EXE or .COM file).
Select Properties from the menu that pops up.
Select the Compatibility Tab in the dialog.
Change the options so the program opens in Windows 95 or 98 compatibility mode. Note the other options in the dialog as you may have to experiment a bit and change some of them as well.
Basically, this action creates a PIF file that Windows uses to determine options to use to run the program in compatibility mode instead of native Windows 32-bit mode. Hopefully, this will allow the program to run.

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

then I tried Windows 2000 and still error too but it's loading and let me press the disclaimer agreement notice.

NW.js requires Windows XP or later. Some features may not work.

then when I choose light wallet it gives me an error again
I didn't write it down... but something about conf.json missing
I reload/rerun the wallet again... no conf.json error this time but new exception encountered

Uncaught exception: Error: Failed to switch to light, please restart the app

dead end again... can't figure out what else to tweak
I guess I'm not going to join the airdrop. Not much regret because I have only small btc balance anyway.

last but not least....use linux or android. both work well. And change windows to something more futuristic.

As far as I know there is no roadmap yet. And it is not needed because the main developer and his team is delivering constantly. Byteball is a great piece of software. They should be free to develop without pressure what would come along with a roadmap.

The website looks amazing, the software seems to work without a glitch... and it was free.

No, hold it in your byteball client. Bittrex doesn't credit as far as i know
And even if it was you are losing blackbytes distribution

When will they take snapshot and when will we get tokens? If we have Bitcoin in exchanges (for like Bittrex and Poloniex) will we still have a chance to get Byteball? I have following problem :

I stored my Byteballs in cold storage.
Therefore i created a wallet on an offline device and sent the Byteballs to one of the addresses shown in the offline wallet.
Since i couldn't talk to the transition bot on the offline device, i connected to the bot with another wallet online and told the bot my address where i stored the offline coins. Then i signed a message and so the offline wallet was linked correct.
The distributions went fine and i could check the Byteballs on the explorer.

So now i wanted to check whether i received the Blackbytes as well and unfortunately i didn't.
Tony even tried to resend, but since the linking wallet is a different wallet then the wallet where the Byteballs are stored on, there might be an issue with sending the blackbytes, since it doesn't work to an address and rather to a wallet device.

Does anyone have an idea how i could still receive my blackbytes on the last rounds for the linked address or if not at least be able to receive blackbytes on an offline wallet in future ?
Maybe i can recover my wallet from seed now and relink the wallet to receive the coins from the last rounds ? In this case i would not have them on cold storage anymore. But so i could move them after every round in cold storage again.

Would be great if someone could find a cold storage solution, where i can still receive blackbytes. 

Will offer a 20GBB bounty for that.
