Well since you can't short ZEC, this millionaire must be buying for some reason.

Seems like a legit buy order, orders are getting filled.

Do you guys even read??

480 does 50+ with the silentarmy kernel modded by nerdralph!!
I even posted a screenshot of this! Yes, modded rom, but the same gpu's only hit 47 max! with your precious claymore miner...

Btw, it even does 50 on a 390 nitro!

Without fee! Open source!

Sorry but you forgot what make Claymore miner value.

1) Stability
2) Remote Manager
3) Support old card like 7950, 7970...

Stability? Kidding me? Been running for 24hrs straight. 2cards, average at the pool 115 Sol.. yeah..

Remote manager, sure, if you like to manually enter all of your rigs in a manager. Great if you have 10 rigs, not if you have 200..

Support old cards, of course it does.. it's even faster on those. my 380 does 38-40 sol with nerdralphs mod ..

Eliovp, we all know that but we use windows, don't you get that ? Smiley

I'm mainly referring to the Linux users here..

But yes, you have a point. There is no stable windows release yet.

Let me personally try to change that this week.

Greetings

My experience with MSI R9 270X - under Claymore Win10 - 30h/s and stable
Under ethOS 1.1.4 (silentarmy) - only 24h/s and not stable.
on the same rig, with the same cards...

FILES UPDATED TO INCLUDE MIT LICENSE DETAILS IN README.
People started asking me about miner package in PM and some people started to share alternate links for downloading, it's not a good thing because of possible viruses.
So according MIT license I added notice to README and uploaded updated miner packages back to original links. You can also see a license notice in original post of this thread.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Although  Zec is still not present ( Huh)  in http://www.whattomine.com/coins, for my small home farm of 280x and 390's (1200 sols/s) this is the reality.

What?  Huh

It has been there for the last days  Grin

If version 2 is not released today, it will be useless due to ZEC huge price drop. Unless it really increases hashrate exponentially  Grin

Fingers crossed!  Roll Eyes

@Claymore your miner is having a real strange behavior, I was experiencing a huge amount of duplicate shares, so we started some debugging to investigate what is happening, and I see this happening on all miners:
....

The Rig is running your v1.0

any idea why is this happening ?

v1.0 has problems with nonce after devfee mining until new main job is received. In v1.0 every hour after devfee mining nonce was reset to zero and miner checked same nonce range again until new job is received. So it could lose about 1-2% of shares. Fixed in v1.1, see history.txt or OP:

- fixed issue with rejected shares after devfee mining.

Thanks, Upgrading now.

As someone has mentioned before, this coin has become a mine and dump coin. With the latest huge drop in price the profits are almost equal to ETC now. Although  Zec is still not present ( Huh)  in http://www.whattomine.com/coins, for my small home farm of 280x and 390's (1200 sols/s) this is the reality. If we as a community do not learn how to care for our coins, sooner or later our profits will be gone. I mean, every time the pools pay to the miners there is a rush to fill the buy book in poloniex. I am not saying that we should wait too long but there is a way to sell in small portions with a minimal negative impact on the price. I do not consider myself as a good trader but I managed to doble my Zec profits selling during the spikes and not affecting the price in a negative way at all. Just a food for thought while squeezing another sols from your cards

I agree with you completely, there are ways of maximising profit long term but mining and dumping as fast as possible destroy confidence and reduce everyone's potential returns. Such behaviour only works when the demand outstrips supply, not with artificial scarcity and people panic dumping left right and centre. Part of the issue is many miners have a smash and grab mentality to mining. I love that commodity hardware like CPUs and GPUs allow mining to be democratised, however the flip side is people with no understanding of markets suddenly have assets they want to cash out to something they are more comfortable with like BTC. Part of the issue is volatility, part is the massively inflationary nature of the early mining phase, part is just mismanaged expectations.

That was profitable for maybe 2 days before Claymore added it to its Dual miner. I never mined it before without pools because the diff was too high. Maybe it was profitable for you.

much fees . . .

i was kinda blasted when i was posting at another thread asking for a "reduced" fee using the miner but well, some said not that much but let's see how much ?

some pros in calculations ?

+

claymore.fee @suprnova

that's afaik as the little birdie told me, prolly more . . . & the fees are still counting + zec is dropping still, sad very sad, good miner but fees tbh a tad too high.

i hope mrb gets a fair share of the dev fees before the MIT license.

claymore deserves some shares/fees but again prolly he might consider lowering them.

guys & gals PLEASE DO NOT forget to deduct 2.5% miner fee + pool fee 1% + trading fee 0.25% + transfer fee = lots of fees that comes close to a whopping 4% !
