I'm running two reference 290's at 400h/s at 1030/1250 -100mv core -100mv aux 0 power level. Fans are now at 50-55% at 85C, this is inside of a Corsair 750D.

I need to put a kill-a-watt on it but it's made a significant difference on the temp with only a 20h/s loss. That's the highest core I can get to at the moment, stable.

Stock BIOS, should I load in the 390 STILT's bios?

One of TheStilt bios for the R9 290 should let you kick the temps down quite a bit while still bumping the clocks up some.
On ETH I'm routinely seeing 80C more or less at 1100/1250 under LINUX though I'm running the fans a bit higher than you are.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

can you guys share their speeds on stock setting of MSI R9 390 Gigabyte R9 390 Sapphire R9 390 and XFX R9 390 all 8GB
again stock setting no OC no modded bios please.

Thanks

well i have msi r9 390x2 with the stupid lights and all they produce about 215/225 Hs each no nothing, and 3x r9 390 asus with stupid flashing lights performing about the same 215/225 each card for what is worth.

What is the best setting (modded bios setting and overclock setting) for RX 470 & rx 480 to produce the lowest Watt : hash ratio OR the highest Hash : Watt ratio?

Mine is (i'm not sure if my setting is good enough), but here the number:

RX 470 8GB memory type samsung, asic quality 63.2% (according to GPU-Z)

Setting: bios strap 1750, core clock = 1300, memory clock = 2000, GPU voltage -108mv (on sapphire trixx)
Result: 162 H/s, power consumption around 130 W on the wall,  87 Watt average in GPU-Z ===> ratio hash:power = 1.24 H/watt

RX 480 4GB, memory type Hynix, asic quality 77.5%

Setting : bios strap 1500, core clock 1300, memory 1750, GPU voltage -78mv (sapphire trixx)
Result:  166 H/s, power consumption 118 W on the wall, 76 W on GPU-Z ==> ratio 1.40 H/watt

Care to share your result?

any advice is highly appreciated.. I still toying with the setting once in a while now..

does it require their special software to do that if so it's not going to happen since the rig is mixed card manufacturer.

Memory bandwidth:

RX480: 256 GB/s
390X: 384 GB/s

ZEC uses a lot of memory operations. Do you still think that RX480 can work as fast as 390X?
my 390x claim to have a 512 gb bandwidth  have i been lied to by the manufactures  Grin Grin Grin
Edit: i thoguth that the 7950"s have 384 gb bandwidth

You're thinking of memory bus, 512 bit.
here i thought  memory bandwidth pertain to memory bus Cheesy

It does pertain to the bus, but is not equivalent to the bus. Bandwidth is the product of bus width and memory clock speed.

512 bits / 8 = 64 Bytes
64 Bytes * (1500 MHz * 4) = 384GB/s

I'm running two reference 290's at 400h/s at 1030/1250 -100mv core -100mv aux 0 power level. Fans are now at 50-55% at 85C, this is inside of a Corsair 750D.

390s can have a bit higher memory clock (and 8GB instead of the usual 4 on a 290) but are otherwise the same.

Because they are already doing 230S/s+ and he is going to add more optimization.

I haven't looked at the Radeon Settings yet, but you can do it with Sapphire Trixx.

Hi guys!
I have RX 480 (x6). Each card gives about 175 H/s for Zcash.
Question: is it possible to increase the speed?

175 h/s is pretty good. Mine are averaging around 168 h/s - all stock bios and clocks.

I wish I could them off. Just a waste of power.

Nowdays LED's are very effiicient, so power is not the problem. Blinking lights are just a feature for young gamers which can be turned off.
