I think it's anyone's guess where bitcoin will be in 20 years.  That's a hell of a long time--it may not seem like it, but in economics it is.  I honestly didn't expect bitcoin to survive past 2014 after the crash, and I was pleasantly surprised that it did.

Something's going to come along to replace bitcoin, that's my guess.  I think it's got way too many problems for it to get the wide adoption that most people are hoping for.  People need a reason to use it instead of fiat, and I have yet to find a good one.  It's a good store of value that takes up no space, but as a currency it blows ass.

Probably in 20 years Bitcoin will be there as the "internet currency", don't have idea about the value but i also think that banks and countries will develop their own blockchain.

Otherwise, Bitcoin would be replaced.

if in the countries will develop thei own blockchain whether the countries will make own digital currency? according to people's views if it's happened will be many downsides

By that time all the Bitcoin that can be mined are all out and it has reached its maximum price as possible. But seeing Bitcoin it will lose its value overtime because 20 years for an old currency is something people won't hold on because there are a lot of developments and innovations that can potentially overshadow Bitcoin everyday for 20 years. no one knows future, bitcoin can grow up or dead. if bitcoin grow up until in 20 years for now, of course,bitcoin become a super currency. but bitcoin can disappear if the countries of the world make a rule which makes bitcoin disappear. no one can prediction bitcoin the future.

Bitcoin is never going to die and cease to exist. Its put in to much ground work and will always be king of the hill as you put it. What's its price going to be is hard to answer though. In 20 years it could be in a pump stage so the price could be skyhigh, or it could be ending a 5 year down trend in which case it would be low. Id like to think that in 20 years it wil be worth more then 20K usd at the very minimum.

Bitcoin is never going to die and cease to exist. Its put in to much ground work and will always be king of the hill as you put it. What's its price going to be is hard to answer though. In 20 years it could be in a pump stage so the price could be skyhigh, or it could be ending a 5 year down trend in which case it would be low. Id like to think that in 20 years it wil be worth more then 20K usd at the very minimum.

we can not deny the truth that Bitcoin will last forever. Since Bitcoin provides many opportunities, people on this planet will soon accept it as a part of this world. In 20 years later, Bitcoin still has many struggles in finding ways to be accepted. Some developed countries, such USA, UK, Italy, etc, will consider Bitcoin as a secondary currency. However, in some third world country, Government will propose many laws to avoid the spreading of Bitcoin as well as prevent its people from using it. Its price, however, will continue rising no matter what happen.

Any of you mentioned could and can happen,nobody expect 20 years ago that we will reach this kind od advancement,in the future everything is possible and could happen,but I pray the one that it will be worth millions of dollars.

20 years is way too long to predict something, yes, I do agree with this, but we all know that bitcoin lives for almost 8 years, correct me if I am wrong, and the other altcoins are just living for just a month yet we trusted it. We must also apply it to bitcoin, we have to trust it and continuously use it to prove that people really loves bitcoin that is why there is nothing, no one should ever replace this wonderful cryptocurrency.

there will not be wrong in predicting. Well, I also predict that the next 20 years, bitcoin will be something at least in looking at the world, just as money today. Well, now people just need to be conscious of how important and easy it is to search for bitcoin. when people are aware, bitcoin might be developed into something better, and it will be visible when the 20 years to come.

Really we are in advanced world so nobody don't know what is going to happen in next minute, each and every day technology is keep increasing even some people don't know what is bitcoin, but as per now bitcoin has more for us because of it's high value according to present economics it is really helping lot of people, we don't know what will be in next 20 years because it should be accepted by next generation.

Bitcoin after 20 years i don't spect too much i don't either know if im still alive this year im too old to use bitcoin i started using bitcoin when the price is $1000 plus bitcoin has a good technologies right now where gadgets are being customize and transforming into technology bitcoin has too much contribution on our economies where bitcoin can be use for many thing nowadays if we are looking forward in that year bitcoin will be a geat and full of future in the new generation.

Laws wont stop bitcoin though. You can inact as many new laws as you wish but as long as they dont close the internet people will still be able to trade and exchange btc. So even if the third world countries did make new laws it would still thrive and flourish because 1- you cant stop it and 2- it will be accepted all over the 1st world countries whihc will give it a value, and that value will be recognized everywhere and anywhere.

I think in the next 20 years bitcoin will still at the top and we will see another alt coin as the bitcoin side kick, judging from the enthusiastic market and big company and the government that are interested in bitcoin, i predict bitcoin will grow bigger and bigger

i think it is still very early to expect anything form bitcoin, but to me if we study the present progress of bitcoin as people are entering in bitcoin and accepting it, we can conclude that after 20 year bitcoin will become one of the most popular crypto currency of the world. and majority of the people of the world will be using it.

If bitcoin can still exist after 20 years. I think the price will be better and better in every years passing by. It will surpass the price of gold, silver and other pecious metals on earth. Bitcoin is history because it is the innovation of currency. We can tranfer funds with ease now because of bitcoin. No id is required and cheap trnsfer rate.

I'm afraid to make any prediction about the future of bitcoin where it will be after 20 years. As I feel bitcoin would be one of the strongest digital currency ever at that point. 1 bitcoin will be equal to $100k maybe more than that.
