Price increase is always possible as that is the current trend now, and bitcoin is very successful because of the increasing adoption. But speaking of the exact figures, we would not know how much it can reach in terms of value but still we need to be conservative and realistic as a basis of our decision in trading. This is the argument they made during 2011. The early adopters thought that Bitcoin will disrupt everything and bring down the banks. The early adopters were very wrong. They failed to see that the limitations in scaling Bitcoin will be its biggest hurdle to make it a cheap efficient payment system.

Well, nothing of those who were expecting a bitcoin prices down for now, but I hope that the price of bitcoin in the next 20 years higher than this price. maybe you could buy a bitcoin in large numbers when the bitcoin prices drop dramatically, but, I guess it will only waste your time waiting for bitcoin prices drop dramatically, because it probably will not happen for a long time.

If it still exists and is known by the same name I will be very surprised! I definitely see countries creating their own crypto coins and having national blockchains. I think it will always have a niche market for those wanting to circumvent fiat but who knows! I'm sure individuals during the dot com boom could have never pictured HD streaming and all of the other insane advances we have made in the last 20 years.

20 years from 2017 means 2037 and bitcoin is designed to be exhausted by 2023. So I am a little skeptical about 20 years. I really don't know whether it will survive till that time or not. However, I have a very positive outlook for another 7 years. Bitcoin price will rise like rocket and will make many people rich.

However, in 20 years, some other coins will take over the place of bitcoin since bitcoin will not be minable after 2023. But it also can become antique and may be priced at a way higher level than now. Not sure though!

It's already not interesting anymore to use Bitcoin as local currency for buying your daily needs. Imagine how that will be after 20 years, where pools more than ever will rely on the income through fees. Bitcoin as local currency has always been a fantasy for the majority of the people, and it will remain exactly that. Nothing wrong with just sticking to fiat for your daily needs. Especially when you look at how fiat related payment infrastructures have been improved dramatically.

Bitcoin is not a scalable cryptocurrency yet and there are developers looking for different ways to achieve it. I have observed that no one really knows how it can be achieved as shown by the debate between Core and BU. Each group maybe think they know but maybe they really do not.

I don't think that the scenario you are looking for will happen. A big fall in the next 20 years might be permanent, what I am trying to tell you is that people in the next 20 years might have no interest in Bitcoin because of many factors from a new kind of currency to the governments banning it entirely. We can't tell what is the reason but you need to be always on guard for what might happen next.

We really don't know if bitcoin will still exist or the original bitcoin that we are enjoying its good price right now. Because bitcoin can be sort of upgraded after 20 years or it can still remain. But I believe that after 20 years, people will be more aware with crypto currency and mostly with bitcoin. It will become more popular.
