Yes, I agree with you, 20 years it's too long. Maybe bitcoin will dead and maybe not.
Maybe there is a new coin doing the same thing as bitcoin or maybe well. No one know what's will happen in 20 years.
As you say, I think the bitcoin price will be more than now because there is many people trust bitcoin arround the world, it's a big community. It's mean more shops will accept bitcoin as payment even in market places.

They allready own that "reliable money" it's called "cash". Try to change your perspective, there are several use cases in payments and there are several currencies fluctuating. Bitcoin serves a niche market where classical cash cannot prevail. One currency cannot replace another by some sort of superiority. Never happened in history, only by governmental order. If there is just some use case surviving in a niche, parallel existance amongst other methods seems the most likely outcome.

If bitcoin will exist 20 years from now then much better and hopefully each country would have many services/establishments that accepting bitcoin as a payment and supposedly Bitcoin will be secured and first of all it will remain decentralized so that the essence of making Bitcoin still be in the future. Obviously people will not use bitcoin if it becomes decentralized as people who care about their privacy will avoid it.

Money (fiat) changes also every day its value, dollar/euro/yen/rmb have different price between them or against bitcoin or gold every day. Some people uses dollar as an investment too, like they can invest on bitcoin or gold. Bitcoin has risk but investing on dollar isn't out of any risk.

Indeed, it is difficult to predict what impact Bitcoin can bring in a long period of time, especially over a two-decade span. I think this is enough time for several countries to realize that Bitcoin can allow nations to grow faster, since people would be free of inflation. In addition, Bitcoin could connect people around the world, since no country could take control over the currency, and thus could not renstrict the use according to geographical or political limitations.

That would equal some Marketcap of 10 500 000 000 000 USD which is "tons of money" and take a look at the downside on the other end: The value of a single Satoshi. To my knowledge they are implemented as integer data type so no more then 8 digits.

If one or the other country puts rules and policies for Bitcoin transactions then that will be a negative step for the future of it. I guess it will not survive for 20 years as the miners right now are barely making any profit and No miners = No transactions.

i dont think people are afraid of taking risk or there is any difficulty in using a account online i just thimk people are not aware of it and are not use to it........ i think in future people understand it better and they use it like any other social media app......

I agree with that bitcoins will be only currency after 20 years for now. but i do not consider bitcoin to be worth that much worth of dollars. I think by that time dollar will be vanished and it does not matter how much bitcoin is worth the dollar or vice versa. World will be changed by that time a lot.

I think if Bitcoin failed to evolve some altcoin will take its place.  It maybe hard to comprehend at this point but Bitcoin's current situation is somehow confusing because of different group of developers who wanted to push Bitcoin development in their own way.  If Bitcoin does not resolve this problem, this will bring Bitcoin to its demise.

no that is not going to happen because at some point we will be forced to adapt to the new needs and change (evolve) to match the new needs. for example the bigger blocks. and if things continue like this bitcoin will split and the chain that doesn't scale will die.

with all that said, this is long way down the line maybe even 1-2 years or more. right now blocks may be full but there are lots of spam attacks that makes them full and make the mempool grow too big.

20 Years mean a creation of new generation. So time to add one more generation to this aspect. Say X+1G. So far we have seen 2G, 3G, 4G in the tech domain.
Now coming to era of X+1G maybe it is possible that something better than Blockchain Technology innovate and submerge Bitcoin in it. History is evident; Cheques, ATMs, Plastic Cards, Payment Processors, all were biggest player of their time but they have to give up when something better innovated.

No one really knows the future and you are right we wont know if bitcoin is still there after 20 years as of now but we have a strong view or feeling that bitcoin would be commonly used since that future years would really be hi-tech and payments are mostly digitalized.If bitcoin would die on those years then there might be a e-currency made by the government.
