I'm curious... why does their 250GH/s version custom made ASIC need to be water cooled?
I was under the impression that ASIC chips were near perfect in their efficiency and gave off next to no heat.

Better ask them how far into production are they with the Jupiter and how soon will they provide a prototype!

lucky you. I sent a message with a few questions through their contact form almost 2 hours ago, still no answer. what email address did you use? anyway if true that means that we're going to pay mars only 795$. it seems a fair price as long as jupiter will be delivered in a reasonable time frame.

Fan cooled with 48 heat sync’s and fans plus two case fans producing a cooling tunnel across the chips Shipment begins on mass in just over 2 months.
I'd just like to apologise on behalf of all Swedes. We're #1, really*, in our grasp of the English language on a national level (stats from countries where English isn't the native language, although I'm not really sure it would make much of a difference). It doesn't really show in communication from KncMiner though. *) http://www.thelocal.se/44062/20121026/

Why don't they let us have the Mars for $795? Why need our upfront money to finance your 250gh/s project, just don't make sense. I hope the noob think twice before making any decision. If Butterfy 5gh/s sell at $274, you should be able to match that price. Seems like some of the members here are really supporting their country man. Put it this way, sell your 6gh/s now at $275 and when the time come I
will pay $7k for the Jupiter !! Butterfly only :-
5 GH/s Bitcoin Miner $274.00
25 GH/s Bitcoin Miner $1,249.00
50 GH/s Bitcoin Miner $2,499.00

Sync / Sink On mass / en masse (shouldn't count since it's French) If one didn't know better, one would believe that chipd *thinks* in English. Back on topic... RIO, where's it go? I shall search for a hashrate/difficulty graph, as I am a visual learner (mostly).

My post was tongue in cheek, of course, with regards to comments earlier in the thread on how lack of proper English skills by KncMiner was a certain sign of scamminess (The quoted content was from them, not chipd, I hope)

60 mil ? which unit, Ghash/s or hash/s? if the former is true that means almost ten times more than now in a few months... wow. serious question: on what data do you base your estimation?

i've just read through your last update here: http://organofcorti.blogspot.it/2013/04/914-asic-earnings-23-april-2013.htmlI can only say impressive analysis, keep up the good work. [edit] sorry for the misunderstanding I've thought that the "guy" was John Self, obviously the analysis was made by organofcorti.

No USB, no cluster, a plus in price of hardware, and device can not be used for password recovery.
Water cooled? How much power, 1500w?
I live in "taxlandia" (EU),I suppose that VAT it's included. In other case, infamous 25% sales tax should be added,...
Expecting difficulty rise in next months, the devices are overpriced.

got an email
" KnCMiner product information
After launching our website just a few weeks ago we have had an overwhelming response. This has been highly valuable in many ways and we encourage you to continue to give us as much feedback as you already have been doing.
Today we are presenting more technical information about our products and services, which we will be offering from now until the start of the autumn. One of the key issues that has come out of the last few days is the issue of trust. We are fully aware that trust must be earned and this is why we are providing you with as much information as we can. Allowing you to make an informed decision about any future purchases.
We are announcing two devices today, Mars and Jupiter. We understand that the Mars product is not ground breaking but we are launching it to show our work so it can be publicly validated by as many people as possible. Our new Jupiter product is groundbreaking and we are sure you will soon agree contains some impressive specifications. The main focus of the information we have available today will be around the following:
Our first mining product which is a 6 GH/s device called Mars Our second mining product hashing at a minimum of 250 GH/s called Jupiter."
I received my email at 6:28:02 (local time is CST). X-Apparently-To: (redacted); Thu, 25 Apr 2013 11:28:02 +0000 This post was posted at 6:28:33. Could others be so kind as to see when your email was received? I have a hunch.
