Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

Some people just prefer bitcoin over fiat simply because it is way easier to get bitcoin and to earn it the real money, from my own experience I have tried to earn some cash from the internet but with no luck.

Until I found out about bitcoin, it is true that I cannot live without fiat because it is what the world is used to , but using bitcoin is a much profitable than using my local fiat.

I think there is demand for both fiat as well as bitcoin. But when it comes to making an investment for the future, people will prefer bitcoin over fiat.
I had the same problem of making cash through internet and it was solved when I came to know about bitcoin.

The major advantage of bitcoin over fiat according to me is the unrestricted market we have at the moment and we can make use of it to the best of our advantages and make the maximum profit and that is the major advantage bitcoin and other digital currencies have over fiat and since this is a new market it does take some time for the government to intervene since it is global.

I too prefer bitcoins payment over paypal or payza and other alternatives because its much easier and there is no fees plus me being not a technical guy often get scammed by charge backs and hence with bitcoins at least I now what I have in my wallet is actually mine.

Yeah investment is one interesting topic but a lot of people are spending it too. I think the reason for preference of bitcoins over other system is because it is decentralized and hence there is no risk of being exposed or being asked for IDs and moreover no reversible transactions.

i think those people who know the importance of bitcoin and can get benefit from it are using it as currency and specially those people where the facilities of bitcoin are available in local shops where the shopkeeper accept bitcoin for shopping there people give preference to bitcoin over fiat.

I would say that some of bitcoin users prefer to use bitcoin over fiat. That's would be more correct. I think it's happening cause of today's world moved on the Internet. Everything is providing through the internet now and bitcoin is created to be used like that.

Moreover fiat has a lot of issues like the cash being destroyed, lost, robbed while with digital payments with a system like bitcoins we are at least sure that we won't loose our hard earned money. Plus bitcoins are best for this purpose since no fees is taken as its decentralized.

Yeah gambling is one enormous reason behind the success of bitcoins I totally agree.

Many people choose bitcoin because consider for take profit. We all know, that save fiat money in the Banks is not profitable better than inflation. And peoples use bitcoin for quick and cheap cost for receive and sending money.

currently people are using it for investment purpose to make money, but in future bitcoin will be use as fiat currency and you will be able even to use it in your local shops. still it require some more time because still the facilities  of bitcoin to use it as currency is not available everywhere.

Yeah in countries like India the government wants people to make money transactions digitally and that promotes bitcoins actually. Though the only problem here is that the government will always support the payment systems that they can control and this is a big reason why they don't appreciate bitcoins transactions.

Even a 5 year old kid can learn how to get their own wallet. Imagine having children and they need money - you're just three clicks away from sending them the funds they need. Anonymously, without any ID required by anyone. You can have a wallet that you can change every time you spend money on something if you really want to be 100% non-traceable. Although it takes a lot more time, you can create a wallet, send funds to it and then (after you spend them all), create a second one and never use the first one again and so on. Paper wallets are the best for this use.

people expect good outcome from bitcoin. But the truth is, BTC is unpredictable. Even on 2014-2015, I bought BTC @ $250. Today in polo, btc is being traded at almost $950. And I think, there are a lot of day dreamer. In 2017, ATH is very much possible due to those BTC enthusiast. I feel sorry for my mistake. I sold all my btc at low price and also lost most of my btc in alt trading. Only BTC is real.  

Bitcoin is not that unpredictable, a significant amount people in the forum were expecting a price pump at the end of the year and they were right if they put their money where their mouth was then they make some really nice profits.

Fiat is something that would never end, no matter what people says and do but fiat is a endless thing.

Fiat is something that would never end, no matter what people says and do but fiat is a endless thing.

Scammers are an issue in bitcoin too, they just use different tactics than the ones they use in Paypal since bitcoin and paypal are different, in paypal they run chargeback scams, but in bitcoin they try to trick users to send first and then you never hear from them again.

Bitcoin can double as a currency and an investment asset, so it is useful for checking inflation, which is a nightmare to the fiat currencies. I agree, one of the pillars of bitcoin is that, it is decentralized and by that it means no one person regulates it, it by-passes the authorities and that's why ID requirements are not necessary, until you venture into the fiat territories.

I think the reason of some people prefer bitcoin over fiat is becouse fiat value is always decrease, even USD is the strongest money but it is decrease too.  So when some fiat price such bolivar is fall against USD. People who use it will safe their wealth by change their fiat into Bitcoin or USD as soon as possible. People who choose Bitcoin was make right decision, becouse bitcoin price is about $1000 now.

As described it has made things better with the way of transaction, fees and the fastest confirmations. Also it doesn't have restrictions upon transaction of big volumes and anyone can use it without age restrictions which is not possible with banking sector where several identity and other procedures needs to be followed by minor if needed to use banks.

i must admit that those things has mentioned by OP just makes bitcoin have bad image because indeed most of us already use bitcoin for our gambling activities or another illegal act but you cannot judge bitcoin made for it only from one side because currently bitcoin able to used with buying some foods or steam games or something else so i think slowly but sure bitcoin began to be used for better things

That isn't true. Bitcoin does have fees unless you are using a online wallet such as coinbase. Otherwise you have to pay a fee to send Bitcoin. It is also not "much easier" to other forms of online currencies and it is easily the hardest to learn about. Saying that, I still prefer Bitcoin to other online currencies.
