I too prefer bitcoins payment over paypal or payza and other alternatives because its much easier and there is no fees plus me being not a technical guy often get scammed by charge backs and hence with bitcoins at least I now what I have in my wallet is actually mine.
That isn't true. Bitcoin does have fees unless you are using a online wallet such as coinbase. Otherwise you have to pay a fee to send Bitcoin. It is also not "much easier" to other forms of online currencies and it is easily the hardest to learn about. Saying that, I still prefer Bitcoin to other online currencies. Main reason for me is popularity bitcoin is fundamental characteristic of this technology. Bitcoin has some benefits over fiat such as global acceptability and universal access. |

It is not about bitcoin, it is about some sites which are promoting bad product in society from online, than people are using the bitcoin. For example, bitcoin was not here, than still some criminals people are doing it, and using fiat currency. So i don't think that we should blame to bitcoin.

Yes the main reason why government and other large companies don't like bitcoin is because of some its nature (ex. anomity) that can lead to various illegal activities. And definitely bitcoin must not be blamed for that cause it varies per user . The same also applies to any currencies since it can both be used for good and bad stuffs . Overall all currencies regarless of its form has its pros and cons . |

The MSM is promoting Bitcoin as the "criminal's currency", like all of the people here are using it for illegal transactions. It gives us a bad image, yes, but we should just come and contradict them: we're not criminals but people wanting freedom. The freedom that we do not have. Governments will probably never like Bitcoin, and if they said they did, it'd probably be only an experiment on us. |

Governments always hide themselves behind the excuse of that they are doing this to chase down money streams that are being used to finance terrorism, etc, but in reality it's just that they want to find out who owns what amount. With Bitcoin the government don't know anything about which person holds what amount. So they just have to come up with an easy solution, and that is to try slow down Bitcoin's growth/prevent people from making use of Bitcoin by running an anti Bitcoin campaign. They use the mainstream media as a proxy for doing so. |

I think the reason of some people prefer bitcoin over fiat is becouse fiat value is always decrease, even USD is the strongest money but it is decrease too. So when some fiat price such bolivar is fall against USD. People who use it will safe their wealth by change their fiat into Bitcoin or USD as soon as possible. People who choose Bitcoin was make right decision, becouse bitcoin price is about $1000 now.
Yeah the dollar has lost most of its purchase power in the last 100 years, but most people don't get it they think that when they keep savings in fiat they are saving for the future but they are letting themselves be robbed by the governments through inflation. |

Most people used Bitcoin as a alternative mode of transfer compare to USD the transfer fees are sky high plus the documentation and the waiting time. but in the end they will convert it to FIAT for daily uses |

Yes, probably those people( include me) are already knew that bitcoin give so many advantage for us. Bitcoin is really secure, can be use anywhere, the world wide transaction that faster than bank, low fee, protect our identity and make payment by phone is so practicaly. |

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? But for me Im using bitcoin in order for me to earn money for my daily expanses and as my sideline work. Im happy that every day Im earning bitcoin that I use for my expenses. |

bitcoin might be confidential and anonymous to conduct transactions. using bitcoin to transaction then it will be much more secretive. different when you use fiat. but certainly spending choicewill be much more on fiat |

Exactly, bitcoin has shown a rapid growth in comparatively less time as that of gold or other commodities, so we have experienced the potential of bitcoin, and even if it use utilized for those activities, I see a great picture shortlyin near future considering the activities of bitpay and zebpay, etc. We have not yet accepted it fully (I mean in most of the countries you can’t spend bitcoins directly, so you have to convert it in fiat) and hence there are lots of opportunities and it will be too early to generalise it. |

Even i have seen it from different places where people are misusing the bitcoin for porn, drugs etc. It is not their mistake because the person who is selling all those porn, drugs are making bitcoin technology into problem. Once this issue is keep raising means definitely bitcoin will be in problems. Why they are dealing with bitcoin is because no one can identify the transaction to whom he is sending. |

Well, bitcoin being used in illegal transactions is unavoidable. the features of bitcoin made it possible for traders, investors, gamblers, drug lords or even terrorists to use it in their favor for easier transactions and for-profits as well, etc... I wouldn't say bitcoin is being misused just because it is being used for illegal transactions because every currency is being used for illegal transactions and this individual picked bitcoin because of its features that can be used in their favor. and for the future generation, it is up to them on how will they accept bitcoin and how will the use it. |
