Zug, 22 February 2018 - The Tezos Foundation has unanimously appointed Ryan Jesperson and Michel Mauny to the Board. The two new members will replace Johann Gevers and Diego Olivier Fernandez Pons, who decided to voluntarily step down to optimally support the Foundation in the advancement of its mission.

The two new members of the Board will join Lars Haussmann, who was appointed to the Board on 31 January 2018. This new Board looks forward to expanding the number of board members in the near future. Ryan Jesperson will replace Johann Gevers as President. He plans to relocate with his family to Zug, Switzerland. In addition, he looks forward to assisting the Crypto Valley ecosystem and helping to further establish Switzerland as a center of blockchain technology and innovation.

With the appointment of the two new members to the Board, the Foundation is preparing itself to assist in the timely launch of the Tezos network.

Ryan Jesperson, who became a leading figure in the Tezos community in recent months, is looking forward to joining the Board at this important time for the Tezos project. «To serve the best interests of the Tezos Project, Johann Gevers and Diego Olivier Fernandez Pons have voluntarily offered to resign from the Foundation Board. They are committed to the success of the Tezos project and will continue to support its development towards a bright future. We thank both of them for their service.»

Ryan Jesperson and Michel Mauny, who will join Lars Haussmann as new members to the Board, are both accomplished professionals. Ryan Jesperson is a dedicated member of the Tezos community. Most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer at Divvy, a FinTech company. He received a BS degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Prior to his work at Divvy, he helped launch the Self-Reliance Services initiative of the LDS Church and was an executive, turnaround specialist and tech entrepreneur in the healthcare industry.

Michel Mauny is a senior researcher at Inria (Paris, France). His scientific interests are mainly in the field of programming languages: design, implementation, semantics, static analysis and type systems. After his PhD at Paris-Diderot University, he joined Inria in 1985 and worked on programming languages, in the research group that designed and developed the Coq proof assistant and the OCaml programming language. From 1989 to 2005 he led the research team that developed OCaml.

I think many of us saw this was coming in last month. New member on board and then T2 foundation.

I guess today is the day to celebrate and the birth of new Tezos or make it Tezos v.1 or even have a forked coin by tezos reborn...lol.This thread is going to be pretty interesting to follow in the next few weeks.

OK lets sort some TEZOS problems out ..

Oh by the way it's not " TEZOS " problems it's the whole crypto spaces problems like forks and what not..

PROBLEM 1 ..No one like to get ROBBED? scammed hacked hijacked you all know ROBBED in many forms..
So the first thing in crypto how do we stop this..This must be sorted  yes we all know Tezos is doing just that BUT you always get someone who figures out how to hack your asses   ..

15K I LOST In eth took me ages to get to that point now all gone my hard work ..
No i lost out my pocket 1k i traded and built it up only to be robbed by an email ..

Yes you can all put the violins back in now   .. SO TEZOS needs to be the safest crypto EVER ..

That gives TEZOS a great name a real top crypto it's safe so why wouldn't you choose TEZOS

PROBLEM 2..Everyone says this whole crypto is because of banks and governments ripping everyone off Like diluting the paper monies and what not?.

See a 1 penny sweet is not 1 penny any more
less in your products is not the same anymore BUT all cost more ..

3k home in the 1990s is now 90k dilutes paper monies BUT when you work does it compensate
for the rise in goods homes and what not the answer is no..

BUT everyone needs to know for fact that banks and governments are needed and because they are needed you need to pay taxes for the many to live even if you don't like paying TAXES you have to
or no businesses can run on roads motorways railways police to protect your goods and homes
all just to name a few why TAXES are needed .

SO DEAL WITH IT ..TAXES NEED TO BE PAID..
So TEZOS needs to come up with an idea were when you trade the taxes get taken out straight away
and given straight to the taxman in your nation ..

See that way anyone who deals in TEZOS will be all above board the SEC the government have nothing to say it automatically gets taken out when ever you trade on a TEZOS exchange platform ..

Some how we need to code TEZOS to take taxes out on profits or large transactions sizes so the government gets it's share..

Now REMEMBER it's the people who get the share of the trades and transactions ..
That way no one is breaking the LAW because you cannot break the law because it's getting taken out
even if you don't like it tough YOU HAVE TO PAY TAXES..

No one likes giving money over in  any form like gold and what not no one wants to hand over taxes

So TEZOS could take it out and hand it straight to the government..
BUT we could go even further  

Instead of it going straight to the government it could go straight to the infrastructure budget so you know your TEZOS taxes actually do on roads and what not instead of some politicians pockets ..

straight to the healthcare budget in your nation so all the taxes taken out of trading tezos and the large transactions could go direct to the causes we all want our taxes used for ..

See you could split the causes up into so many groups like police budget healthcare budget
infrastructure budget and so on ..

TEZOS will then be the safest and fairest token EVER..

No SEC on your backs no governments on your backs and no one can be done for tax fraud who trades because it was already taken out you had no say so..

That way the SEC happy that way the government happy that way EVERYONE HAPPY ..

PROBLEM 3 ..I just hope the ones with massive wallets share some Tezos about the more wallets
the more governance       the more countries involved the better it becomes as an ecosystem ..

Oh and to the governments around the globe TEZOS will help you not harm you ..
Without TAXES your country will not survive because who pays the public servants if no taxes  ..
