They didn't release tokens yet and there is no confirmed date to be sure about at this moment. I don't know why Tezzies has been discussed as Tezos when it has totally different ticker. That on HitBTC is different token be careful when you buy uncleared coin or token. Tezos in my opinion will not face dump regardless of comments here. It will skyrocket immediately after start trading.

I know its been delayed many times, but previous November or February dates were not a promise, just estimations. This time its different. Also, code review process should be done by now.

Don't forget the contributions were called donations in their terms, and although such definition might not mean too much, the naming convention can indicate actual intentions

Agreed. Also as a long term investor I don't worry about the timing of the launch as long as they are developing the platform and attracting developers and entrepreneurs.

What some people have problem with is that they became long term investors whether like it or not. However, in all fairness Tezos ICO had first warning you could not miss - Tezos will be released when its ready, so do not invest if thats a problem for you.

Now if an AI system can use the data without the human then the human can also break in and use the cloud data for what ever reason..

A (possibly crazy) idea: lock up your Tezos to increase voting power (self.tezos)

Take what I’m about to suggest with a grain of salt: this is more brainstorming than a fully thought out idea.

Suppose you could lock up your XTZ for t years, with the benefit that your voting power is multiplied by f(t). By this I mean that every vote you cast on protocol upgrades results in f(t) votes instead.

A reasonable function might be f(t)=min(2*sqrt(t),10). In other words:

You double your voting power by locking up your Tezos for one year.
You quadruple your voting power by locking up your Tezos for four years.
Your voting power is multiplied by 8 if you lock up your Tezos for 16 years.
Other functions f(t) may be better; this f(t) incentivizes people to lock up their XTZ for a few years, but after that diminishing returns set in.

What problem is this trying to solve? It makes sure voting decisions are based on what’s good for the protocol long-term.

This is a real problem: coinholders may favor decisions that are good only in the short-term if they are looking to sell after a quick bump. Examples of such decisions might be :

Excessive spending on marketing.
Announcements of meaningless partnerships.
Even right now on this forum, there are some voices who have expressed the opinion that Tezos should hurry it’s code audit. This is good in the short term if you are looking to dump your holdings on launch day but potentially destructive if a critical bug is found later on.
Even if the majority of coinholders are motivated by the long-term performance of the protocol, in the face of a genuine disagreement a minority that focuses on short-term gains may end up swinging the vote; this protocol change decreases the probability of this event.

An additional benefit would be a likely increase in price that comes from a significant fraction of XTZ being locked up. The relevant analogy is the ETH hodl contract. This would especially be the case if an arms race emerges, e.g., organization A locks up a small amount of XTZ for 25 years, organization B responds by doing the same, and it escalates from there. On the other hand, if we want to avoid such arms races (though I don't see why we would), we could always choose a function f(t) that is never above 2 or 3, or some other small number, e.g., f(t) = min(t/2, 3).

Although not everyone may agree here, expectations of future price increases are good for the protocol, especially at an early stage.

A downside of this rule would be an exacerbation of the decentralization problem: I would expect a fairly small number of coinholders (perhaps ~10%) to lock up their coins for a long time in a bid to control key decisions about the protocol.

On the other hand, this would also incentivize the same coinholders to be strongly invested in the long-term future of Tezos. The analogy is something like ConsenSys, which is hiring hundreds of people to work on ETH.

What do you think? This idea is a little "out there," but it seems like it has some desirable qualities. What are additional upsides/downsides? And would other functions f(t) work better, or would the scheme work better with some tweaks?

This is a great idea to be investigated  ..I like the way everyone is trying to think of how to make things even better instead of LAMBO ..

The delegation services are staying in and the delegation vote is staying BUT we are going to do something after the delegation vote that's FAIR to everyone

But the DELEGATION SERVICES and the DELEGATION is staying in   it makes no difference i solved the problem ..

Mind you even ETH could use the IDEA to sort problems out so no hard forks ..
