I can't seem to get any active connections to the Feathercoin Network through feathercoin-qt. Any suggestions?
Try to open the file as an administrator... maybe problems with the firewall... it helped me...

I'm on a University network, so port forwarding is out of the question. UPnP is enabled in the client and opening the port through the firewall has done nothing. Also, running as admin hasn't helped. As a point of reference, my litecoin-qt and bitcoin-qt work just fine.

The payout for the 2nd pool was off by 4x, so I updated everyone's balances. Should be good to go now.

Solved my problem. I am connected to my internet via ethernet, but also have usb wireless connected to the machine that the ethernet overrides. I get problems accessing certain sites such as youtube when on the campus ethernet and noticed that having both enabled tends to prevent it from happening. I guess this was causing a conflict for feathercoin.

I mined a bunch solo the first night, joining up in the pool now at http://fpool1.zapto.org:19327/static/ Kind of fun to see so much action around this new coin. Thanks for all the informative posts and assistance from everyone.

I've got another test up here http://fpool1.zapto.org:15005/Longpolling with share difficulty of 3, but I haven't gotten a block yet to test (best share 16.7k / 65.5k ) Running good so far. It's nice to see so many shares vs how it was with the p2p. I know the payout is very similar, but you know, instant gratification. Yeah it's nice for the low kh/s to have less variance. I tested "diff 3" with 12 kh/s and it seemed to give a reasonable rate of shares without flooding 1.7 MH/s . The only thing I don't like about pushpool is that the server has a wallet that it pays from. I'd much rather have the payout go like P2Pool with the transactions tied to the block rather than holding the whole block reward locally and paying out from there. How is your stale rate? Sorry for the delay, but I let it run overnight. My stale rate is very very low. 32k accepted, ~150 rejected @220kh/s.

I probably use the alt coin mining site. It looks like they have very low difficulty shares which is good for my cpu.

I'd like to solo-mine FeatherCoins, but my hashrate is very low. So I thought, if it's possible, I'd try to solo-pool mine it - I mean to create my own pool of clients to add their hashrates. Is there a simple way to do it? If so, how? Can I use pooler's CPU miner?
