Yup, 2 lines and everything magically worked. *poof*

Take a look at our community, see if there's an area that excites you. Maybe you're a web designer, programmer, trader, miner..  something for everyone.

Well Cryptonit is a bust. That site is major screwed up. If I can get my coins out, I am never going back there again. I cannot get the security for withdrawal to work no matter what I do. The support ticket function crashes every time. And the messages has IE errors something fierce.

I just flipped about 22K FTC to LTC and withdrew the LTC without a problem.

I know Cryptonit can be kind of flaky at times, but it seems most of the issue are people new to the exchange not familiar with how to two-step withdrawal works.

1st step is to start the withdrawal, which I am sure most you you have already done.

2ND STEP - Authorize the transaction. On your account cryptocoin information screen (where you did step one) there is a category at the bottom of the list called "Waiting authorization". You need to follow that link, and have your google auth (however you set it up) attached to your account. You only need to set it up once.

If you have your google auth set-up you should see your withdrawal along with the box to enter the six digit code your device or computer app. gives you. Enter the numbers, click the button and your withdrawal will be processed.

I know the google auth can be a pain in the butt to set up the first time...Believe me I know   Cheesy

But once it is set up, it is very easy to do withdrawals and very secure.

I did a write up once about setting up a goggle auth for Cryptonit, I will try and dig it up and post a link.

I was able to withdraw 40k Feathercoins from Cryptonit. It works just fine. I used Google Auth with 2 step verification.

Cryptonit is keeping me away from FTC.  Others above me are having similar issues with GA login not working.  Hopefully support gets back to me on how to fix this issue.  I followed all the on site instructions and have had no success.

I found it on the Terracoin fourm, here is a cut and paste of it

Quote
I use Jauth:

Jauth is available here:

git://github.com/mclamp/JAuth.git

Within the repository there are both Linux and Windows auto installers.

JAuth_unix_1_0.sh

JAuth_windows_1_0.exe

Navigate to the directory where  the repository was extracted too:

Linux users make sure sure JAuth_unix_1_0.sh is executable (chmod +x JAuth_unix_1_0.sh). Run the installer with:   sudo ./JAuth_unix_1_0.sh

Windows users just run the windows executable.

At one point in the install it will ask for the "Authentication secret string" this is the code that the exchange provides.

Go to the GA login section of your exchange account, you will see an option to generate a code. Keep the drop down box set to TOTP and generate a code.

The next screen will have a url like: otpauth://totp/blahblah%40CryptoCoin%20Exchange?secret=1234567890

The "Authentication secret string" are the characters after "secret=".

Please print or write down the code!!

Cut/paste the string into the install program. (Windows - use ctrl-v to paste).

The code needs to be set by checking the box next to "I have successfully scanned the current code" and clicking the code scanned button.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COPY OF THE CODE ("Authentication secret string") BEFORE CLICKING THE BUTTON.

The code will never be revealed again which, is not a big deal if you have it written/printed out. You can always reuse the code if the Jauth install fails or you need to reinstall it for whatever reason. You can use the code on multiple computers. The code is basically a "seed" for generating the authentication codes, and can be used with any GA device/program.

Finish the install, and run Jauth whenever you need a code to withdraw. A little window that looks like a clock will appear and give a sequence of 6 numbers.
There is a copy shortcut so one can copy paste the code. For some reason the link does not work on Linux, but then again it is only 6 numbers.

Originally posted in the Newbie section (posted only for reference, the content is below: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190398) but now I have access to the rest of the forums Smiley

I'm just wondering if anybody else is having issues with p2pool.org and FeatherCoin. I'd been mining for about 50 minutes (~500 KH/s according to cgminer) and I had 20 shares accepted, 1 rejected, and a whole bunch of "Stratum from pool 0 detected new block" and "Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart". According to p2pool.org, I was mining at 0.362 KH/s. I'm not seeing much of a point to mining in a pool with FeatherCoin if I'm effectively running over 1000x faster on my own.

I've copied the cgminer script I use for LTC and only changed the host, username, and password, so there aren't any config issues. Anyone know what's up?

https://cryptonit.net/exchange/ltc/ftc

Everything works fine until now! Smiley

WRONG.
I initiated withdraw of coins from Cryptonit last night before I went to bed. 12 hours later, both my LTC and FC withdrawals are STILL "Transaction Awaiting Authorization"

Well... If you wait for that, you can wait till infinity and beyond...

"Transaction Awaiting Authorization" says that you have to authorize your transaction.

Click on "My Account" -> "View Account Balances, Deposit and Withdraw" and click "Waiting Authorization" (just under TRC).

There you can use the 2-step verification you created (did you?) and enter the code to authorize the withdrawal.

I use "Google Authenticator" on my Android phone. Safe and smooth.

I've had to re-create a second account on there, just to have that 'useless' now too, as I can't get this 2 setp auth to work. I was pointed to a step by step guide and it still didn't work. I don't have android phone, so I used the windows client linked to (how to get it alone I dont know, I had to download the thing in an arvhice from the git repository?) and then it's all just trial and error, which doesnt' work when you only get one shot per account.

It asys "Tick this and click continue, you can recreate a new code later." and then there is no option to create a new code. What I'm supposed to do with the code, google has no idea I have no idea. Back and forth.

Now google has more info about me than I ever wanted them to know, and I still cant use the 'withdraw' on this exchange.

Who decided this two step authentication was necessary? Why let google control my authentication. I don't use them if I dont have to, yet it seems it's required to withdraw.

and I can't keep making useless accounts. I don't ave that many email addresses.

I have just withdrawn some FTC to my wallet and the moment I filled in my google authenticator code and pressed on Confirm transaction I received the FTC in my wallet instantly. Shame to see that people are spreading false lies about this exchange, as it works perfectly, you just got to read what they instruct you to do.

Cheers

I placed a withdrawl, over half an hour ago for +4.83256568 LTC and it still says unconfirmed, and hasn't appeared in my wallet even marked as unconfirmed.

So not everyone is have the same experience as you.

Did you authorize the transaction with Google authenticator?

How is this done? I've followed the guide and it still told me "google authentication failed." and then I get no option to restart. It just wants the code.

What code. Where do I get this google authentication.

Sorry for the quote stack. What do you mean? I'm live with this now, what kind of problems do you have with it?

I was under the impression that it wasn't working correctly based on the author's comments on that page. (under "Current issue details")

Are those issues closed?
Well, the pastebin is from 4-09 and I haven't had any issues in my testing/usage.

Well, not working for me..  I just get the following message nonstop in the logs and hashrates from 8-10 kH/sec with settings that normally get me around 700 on my miner (7970)

2013-04-27 06:09:23+0000 [-] Starting factory <HTTPClientFactory: http://localhost:38334>

I get that too, but the stratum conxn works fine. Where do you see the low hash rate?  in your miner or on your pool's site frontend?

You can get rid of twisted's verbose output by running it as a daemon .. use -y  not -ny flag.
