I'm as racist as the next guy about Chinese so-called literature; it's terrible. Complete and utter shit from 1500 BC to the present. Not a sausage.
Curiously though there is one solitary chipolata.
A half decent short story writer called Shen Congwen who iirc wrote nice lyrical tales of nothing much really; working the boats up and down the massive grey river from Wuhan into Chongqing and Sichuan, the porters and river-workers' dormitories and brothels, the pangs of being away from a home you never have. He caught the fun that can be had even in the dirty fogs and sweaty crowded cities. It's a spirited city, and Shen showed that to me at least in a nice restrained way.

... one of the authors of the paper reviewed here is PLA (People's Liberation Army, aka chinese military), so one of two possibilities, he's a renegade speaking truth to power and believes these numbers are correct OR this paper is officially sanctioned info Chinese military wants to get out there to help the world.

Shit just got way worse if these numbers translate to spreads outside of china and that's not certain since asian culture has very crowded conditions and abysmal hygiene standards, (spitting everywhere, uncovered sneezes, hacking, washing hands infrequently, etc)

In 2017, there were 250,000 cases and 2,000 deaths from influenza in Australia.  So Coronavirus has some work to do to catch up to that.

2019-nCov was reported to share the same receptor, Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), with SARS-Cov.

We also noticed that the only Asian donor (male) has a much higher ACE2-expressing cell ratio than white and African American donors (2.50% vs. 0.47% of all cells). This might explain the observation that the new Coronavirus pandemic and previous SARS-Cov pandemic are concentrated in the Asian area.

So, chances to avoid it (from the paper) are better (so far) for White/African American females, then White/AA males, then Asian females, then Asian males.
