Unfortunate that I had to make use of the ignore function for certain individuals shitting up this thread.

This thread is for discussing Bitcoin markets. Not BCash.

It would be nice to get out of here.

Anything we can do to assist??   Grin

IDK about the rest of you, but on New Years Eve, Imma party like it's 1999!

 BTC $19,999

I'll settle for dollar parity with this thread's page count by then. It should have reached 19000 pages, and hopefully bitcoin might have reached $19000.

I accept this is probably the wrong forum for the debate however I'd quite like to see some reasoned debate from the small blockers. The kind of response above sounds like.

Kindly fuck off because I don't know how to refute your points and I prefer my beliefs not to be challenged.

With exception of d_eddie and possibly a couple of others I rarely hear any good actual debate from small block side. Which is a shame I am receptive to be persuaded by some good solid arguments.

The fact is bitcoin has morphed into something that wasn't intended in the beginning. A settlement layer for transactions does not feature in the whitepaper. INstead a payment system using electronic cash is promoted. The fact that bcash fans have jumped ship to something closer to the origninal vision is only to be expected given those circumstances.

The cool thing is though both options are on the table. The free market will decide.

Here's your short debate, these are your own words. Nothing more needs to be discussed.

Now kindly /discussion

Yes. It's a market closed to foreign money so it always does it own thing. It's irrelevant to the rest of the world.

It's the first day I've noticed coinmarketcap listing btc higher then the price on gdax. They must be using Bithumb to calculate the price.

The cost to run a node is insignificant to the cost to set up a solo-mining operation.  This will remain true even at GB blocks.  Do the math and this becomes obvious.

If you want to further decentralize mining, it would be better to push more people to run ASIC miners than to run nodes.  At least with an ASIC miner they'll have influence by pointing their miner at a pool they support.

Do I have to explain why what you propose is not realistic (at least at this point, but surely BCH ain't going to change the situation) or we can just be pragmatic?

Anywho, getting back to price action. We broke up into a nice rising pennant. Volume seems to have picked up a little bit.

Current movement: slightly bullish.

Overall though, I don't see higher volume really kicking in again until about mid- January. Most of this current activity seems like just some listless robo-trading to me.

We should probably suggest a fork for this board with an increased post per page count to mitigate the issue.  We could then spam the original message board to dissuade people from continuing to use it and instead use our new, better, board with the larger post per page count.

Bitcoin is quite volatile through the last few days. How many dips did you buy? Come comment on our daily chart segment with your thoughts.
Bitcoin is one of the day's most remarkable gainers, scoring 24 hour gains around 15% as a bullish market sentiment re-appears. BTC/USD markets are once again exploding in trading volumes while traders jump on the ongoing rally. In spite of the volatility in the last few days, if such support is continued a base for more persistent positive movements could be set.
