About the chart: I want to see this baby at 100.000 next year.
$100 is too low. I'm not THAT bearish. I think most likely itll just briefly bottom at $5500 Lol. He meant $100k. And no you won't see $5500 ever again.

ain't LN blockchain admission of failure Ain't we better off using ripple at this point ? No and no. Bitcoin is bitcoin. Censorship resistant, and decentralized. The lightning network is technology being built on top of the protocol. The people building it, as well as many of us, see it as offering lots of valuable features. It's sort of like HTML... HTML is an ever changing markup language used ON TOP of the HTTP specification. HTML changes frequently, adding features for things like video transmission etc. HTTP? Doesn't change that often. It's job is to be the rock solid base on which HTML does it's magic. The bitcoin protocol is similar. A slow changing protocol, but in THIS case managed in part by the consensus of the users as well as devs miners etc. I think Wladimir van der Laan takes the right course when he is slow to make big changes to the underlying protocol. LN is like HTML. The market is developing it to make the protocol useful for the masses. With development like this bitcoin comes out of the shadows and useful features are made available for everyday users. For example: Currently "being your own bank" entails complex OPSEC that even the experienced computer users can have trouble with and possibly fail. Whether we like it or not we NEED 3rd party solutions to help both grandma and banks handle the geeky aspects of using crypto. Without these developments we will never see mainstream use. If bitcoin is to continue evolving into the premier form of wealth storage, unit of account, and means of exchange we MUST -- **MUST** see millions of transactions a second. LN is currently the first and best step towards enabling that future. So no. No. Bitcoin has not failed. In fact it has barely begun succeeding. I can see you have basically no idea what's coming. So the show will be pretty fun for you to watch. Hold onto your ass. And hodl on to your BTC.

I've also sent some fiat to Kraken for some BTC shopping, and was thinking to buy as soon as the funds become available to spend. But I've been reading about expected dips to $10k or even $8k and lower... What to do? Will wait for a while and then make my move.
The kraken announcement thread gave me the impression that it's extremely difficult to log in, and that buying and selling is a bigger cluster fuck. Have you not experienced any problems there lately?

Are you fucking retarded or something ? LN is an evolutionary step for Bitcoin. When you check your email, would you rather telnet/ssh directly to the mail server and issue manual commands, or would you prefer to use a mail client that does all the heavy lifting for you ? A much pithier explanation than mine.

Does the title say bitcoin? only once! twice no? we got BTC and we got bitcoin. means the same thing, but represents twice, rightto? fair nuff. sure, twice. glad we got that sorted.... seemed important, no? critical, no less... Well depending upon where you are in the world, the next 5 days-ish are ABSOLUTELY.... critical.

The post about needing to be on certain exchanges to get B2X coins came from me. I deleted it because i think I got it wrong (the website was confusingly worded). They have now reworded the website to make clear cold wallet holders get an allocation.
Of course this doesn’t preclude some stupid rule like Garzik you need to send the coins to yourself in a 30 day period but we won’t tell you until the 30days has already passed.

Lol, you calculate the dips based of size on a log scale and not percentage. I mean... where do I start... This is like kindergarden basics, my eyes are bleeding

I disagree. Off chain technologies allow the blockchain to remain pure. Your version of a "solution" is not as scalable. No one will force you to use L2 stuff. And noone gets to decide that it cannot be built. Don't like real decentralization much do you? For the system to be truly decentralized and censorship resistant then anyone and everyone gets to take part. Why do you think core has not made a change to stop the blockchain spam problem?

Why is anyone suprised? I made the announcement that there would be a top at 16,000. Therefore it should be completely expected and there should be no discussion here. Just a bunch of blank pages.
I got out at $16,200 with my day tard stash because I was listening The rest of you, stop taking obvious troll bait.

I have a weird feeling that all the sellers are about to get wrecked. This has just been way to predictable (slow falling) to catch suckers selling that want to buy in lower. Dunno, just has that gotcha vibe to me cause even I'm thinking of cashing my daytard stash.

I didn’t say I wasn’t getting back in today. Am tempted to do so right now but will wait a bit longer.
And let’s be clear, over 95% of my portfolio is hodl. This is just fun. It is a challenge to myself to see if I can beat buy and hold ROI over an extended period. And I have no confidence in my ability to actually pull it off.

so guys
I just spent over 2 hours learning about hashgraph. I am not shilling for anything, in fact I'm not even sure there is a way to "get in" on it. They DO NOT have an ICO. It looks like they are doing some really innovative platform/protocol work to build scaleable, secure, fair ledgers.
I seems to me that one of the founding tenets of the small block philosophy is the acceptance that bitcoin can not be all things to all people. We will need robust real time ledgers for a multitude of uses, economic transactions being just one.
Not even going to link...not shilling...advising that it may be worth a look.

Oh, I was just agreeing with you. Just like you, I day trade with less than 1% of my crypto. Anything significant is permanently embedded on Trezors.
