Jimbo, block a few of the nastier KBs or it really is just 10 with a 7 skin on it
For sure. I was planning on replacing the HDD with a new SSD before even booting it up the first time, then being really careful during installation. As I said before, I don't trust anything from any American company in this age of Prism. If Win7 becomes unusable, I'll switch to Linux in a heartbeat. Phuque the NSA. If it has legacy BIOS and I can install from my TheThingy DVD, I'll avoid the HP/MS DVD completely. I'll still have a legal Win7 license. MS is stopping support for Win7 updates so I see no need to do any updates, so I'll just turn them off. After all, I'm just planning on using it as a "throwaway" system anyway... nothing important, confidential, nor sensitive.

I doubt that trend will hold, but I don't think a big crash is likely either, despite scary looking head and shoulders pattern almost complete. I predict bitcoin will stay rangebound / flat until sometime in Feb, probably in a kind of wedge formation. Then a break up, perhaps to 50k. I have frequently watched bitcoin do the opposite to what chart patterns indicate. Besides that the neckline is slanting the wrong way, which is supposed to indicate the head and shoulders won't follow through.

Why is everybody so focused on that particular fork? It has replay protection and I don't see how it is different to any of the other forks that's coming up. Bitcoin Atom for example has already forked and will be supported by Coinomi. https://medium.com/@coinomi/coinomi-announces-support-for-bitcoin-atom-bca-bf666e1d5e7fLet's hope the other forks will too, it's so easy to claim your coins in the Coinomi wallet.

Yeah... after the past several pages, you other guys have your altcoin already, so you can get that, use that, do whatever you want with all that bcash.
All these characters remind me of Sith Lords ... they keep telling us we don't know the power of the dark side.
You know, fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Suffering leads to losing all your bitcorns. (Buy yay, we now have bcash.)
Nailed it. It's all about the cast of shady characters: 5 Reasons to Shun BitcoinCashThis article looks like it came right from a few pages of this thread. Someone is lurking. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Naaah, I think they'd prefer to use Monero for that. Bitcoin is for the mainstream. Paying them with gold or silver would be a pain though. To buy a pair of shoes, a belt and a wallet, I would have to carry more than 1 kg of gold, or 80 kg of silver, and transport it all the way to the UK... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

If you are an early adopter, post which was the first GPU you ever mined with.
Mine was the Radeon 6990. It was very expensive but it mined Bitcoin at almost 1GH/s, mined LTC at 800MH/s, mined X11, mined XMR, mined ETH.
HD6870 here, later added a HD5830. i think they each hit mid 30s as far as mh/s on btc. later mined ltc with them but cant recall the hash rate. still have them both and they still run but the 6870 fan failed at one point and had to replace the hsf with an artic extreme setup. they both made me so much money ill never throw them out.. ahh the memories ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

And now, we resume our regularly scheduled uptrend... already in progress. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) So true, I admit I was super nervous when the down trend won’t stop. Seeing it recover, I now really think that what we’re experiencing is a healthy dip. It’s now being affected by economic tides so that is awesome. I hope the bitcoin futures would really help legitimize the currency and we hit another record high as we wnter the new years.

I'm confused. Everyone on this thread is supposedly so bullish that they are always 100% btc and never sell a single coin, and also that they dont trust any exchanges to hold their coins or fiat. However, then whenever the dip occurs they say they 'bought the dip' and profited tremendously - meaning they would have had to have sold for fiat and been on an exchange first. So which is it?

I was all-in bitcoin at $200 because it was free money. The people who are all-in bitcoin now are the same people who drink Olde English and go to dog track races.

And now, we resume our regularly scheduled uptrend... already in progress. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Its pretty good for us, the fall of bitcoin prices is not always bad. Its time to buy bitcoin, I guess bitcoin prices will reach $20500. I observing bitcoin price and I just realize that bitcoin price always reach new high level every month. But since it has high volatility, so its hard to predict.

That's the beauty of Bitcoin. You buy the dips and you profit. No need to sell. In fact, what's great about Bitcoin is that you just buy anytime you like, and you profit. No need to sell. One magic word: HoDL.
