I'm confused. Everyone on this thread is supposedly so bullish that they are always 100% btc and never sell a single coin, and also that they dont trust any exchanges to hold their coins or fiat. However, then whenever the dip occurs they say they 'bought the dip' and profited tremendously - meaning they would have had to have sold for fiat and been on an exchange first. So which is it?

Jimbo only buys from bitcoin ATMs with money he earned. Thats how he buys the dips without selling for fiat and being on an exchange.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see I finally got my buying opportunity... currently $13252USD/$17019CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

It's a bloodbath all across cryptoland with Bitcoin suffering significantly less than most. As a result old coins are down to $15841USD/$20313CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Unfortunately my usual local ATM has gone crazy with insanely high buy fees and the nearest ATM with reasonable fees doesn't open for another 15 minutes.

Looks like I missed the bottom but this dip is still worth buying. I'd better get out and hail a cab so I can be there when they open their doors.

That's the beauty of Bitcoin. You buy the dips and you profit. No need to sell.

In fact, what's great about Bitcoin is that you just buy anytime you like, and you profit. No need to sell.

One magic word: HoDL.
But where is the money to buy dips if you are always all in btc and dont trust exchanges? It is contradictory.

I'm employed and well-paid. It's money I earn. I guess many here do the same. No contradiction. The exchanges are only used to buy BTC, never (or rarely) to sell. Well, OK, we do sell shitcoins like Bcash.

And now, we resume our regularly scheduled uptrend... already in progress.   Grin

So true, I admit I was super nervous when the down trend won’t stop. Seeing it recover, I now really think that what we’re experiencing is a healthy dip. It’s now being affected by economic tides so that is awesome. I hope the bitcoin futures would really help legitimize the currency and we hit another record high as we wnter the new years.

Clearly many took advantage of the dip.

This thread has been most helpful.

Cheers, everyone!

CCMF!

The people who took advantage the most would be the wealthy who keep on insisting that btc would dip. Pure speculations, but its very near reality ahaha

I sold Bcash at 0.5btc and then tripled the proceeds by daytrading.

This sideways movement has low volume, but for now there's good support/buy pressure. It feels like a very controlled series of swings. I placed a couple of conservative buy orders just under the recent lows. That was yesterday and none of them has been filled yet - even partially. Ready to BTFD if a significant dip indeed comes.

EDIT: I talked too early. It's going down fast, but it's still above my buy orders.
