Anybody still holding Byteball? That's one of the few BTC airdrops I never dumped. It seems like it's been tanking the last 8 months though.
Yes bro! My favorite after Bitcoin. There have been hard times with the distribution model but, hey, so far so good. One of the best projects around.

Back to bitcoin, i bought some more. 19th of every month is my bitcoin buying day

It seems like you made some cash if you sold them by the 20 something of every month, there have been a few peaks at the 20s past few months, right?

So go on, burn some oil. Do your part to improve the world.

Bbut... but.. my next car will be all electric. My next house will have 10Kwh solar panels, with charging station. All my tools will be rechargeable. The only gas I will burn will be in my fun antique cars that see little use except for weekends.

EROI of oil is slowly dying. Mass adoption of all electric vehicles will help kill it.

Burn it Now, while you can get it!  V8's for everyone!

co2 is not a pollutant.

True. It's a greenhouse gas tho.
Yes, and that's a good thing, as we just covered.

It's not a good thing. We need atmospheric temperature to be lower than normal human body temperature. Plus, our cognitive abilities suffer from high CO2. Anyone who tried to study in a stuffy room with poor ventilation knows that. We already went from 300 to 400 ppm in one lifetime.

FYI he's the thread starter or the OP and the moderator here.

Actually he took on the job of moderator after thread starter and OP AdamstgBit was hacked and had already pretty much moved over to the forum that shall not be named.

After the regular mods got sick of trying to keep this nuthouse under control, they closed the thread. When opposition to the closing was overwhelming, Infofront took one for the team and became head shrink.

And dodged a bullet by doing so.  Any lower and there wouldn't be enough plant life to sustain us.   Have you ever looked to see what historical norms are?  What's the danger level on a submarine (closed system)?  Never mind what the MSM tells you.  In fact, better to take it as a contrarian indicator.  Dig a little.

Fuck off this thread is for BTC

Yes I hold byteball. The tech is very interesting, but the distribution has been botched. I'm hodling for now though.

FYI he's the thread starter or the OP and the moderator here. So watch your word. Maybe deleted this reply later.

Very tempted to delete! Anyway, this thread devolves into altcoin conversation on occasion, especially in regards to the forks and airdrops.

Hottest day of the year so far in the UK, it’s 77 degrees Fahrenheit. About time we reached T Shirt weather. Hopefully the change in weatger coincides with a change in market sentiment & we start a climb back up in Q2 - Q3 of 2018.

I’m feeling $12,000 by the end of May, who’s with me?

Just off the top of my head, that would equate to 115 F in May... are you suicidal?

Byteball is not interesting.  There is no "tech".  DAGs are unusable for a craptocurrency without artificial, forced convergence, and that's exactly what Byteball does.  It just slaps a DPOS layer on top of the DAG, thus negating whatever the fuck the DAG is doing making it pointless even being there.  It's like an obfuscated, Rube Goldberg version of Bitshares in other words.

Also, closed entropy systems have no value, meaning any type of proof of stake implementation.  Unfortunately, PoW systems are only theoretically open entropy systems but function more like closed entropy systems in practice since the ability to lock out the vast majority of the entire planet from being able to mine via ASIC monopolies is a real thing.

The resulting dynamic is that anyone attempting to mine and being forced to buy a miner from someone like Bitmain is not actually a miner, but just a speculative gambler gambling against Bitmain somehow mispricing their hardware by not correctly forecasting future prices.  The only time you would want to buy something from them is if Bitmain has erroneously forecast future prices would be flat or lower and it was up instead.  Mining is not supposed to work like that.  People are supposed to mine because they want to use the currency to transact, NOT gamble in a rigged game against the house.

Sorry..forgot to add my wall of text.  Bitcoin is most probably going to do more sideways than upwards. No volume..no transactions...everyone is just hodling their breath and waiting for something to happen. News flash..thats never a good plan. On the bright side..the MACD is flat as pancake and has just completed a bullwhip oscillation which indicates a move in one direction or another. A bounce off the downward trend line would not be unexpected just as I am sure the temptation to complete the barthead is strong. Verdict...no clear winners yet but alts.

I voted May 31st for the 10k Euro game. Picked that on a whim though. Last time I overshot, this time I'll undershoot.

I just left my house for the first time in just under two weeks. And I didn't go out in a t-shirt because I didn't expect it to be 80.6 Fahrenheit. Needless to say, I'm going to stay shut-in until the weather gets fixed if I can help it. Need to be more careful not to sleep through deliveries for the next few months.

You are absolutely full of shit, Torque. The only BCH I got pre-fork is in equal quantity to my BTC holdings, due to the impending fork.

And that's my point. Unlike those hapless brainwashed BCash cultists that actually have to buy BCash directly post-fork (i.e., now and forever forward in time), you haven't bought any directly with hard-earned fiat. You acquired all of yours for "free". So you really don't have any skin in the game. Neither do Roger Ver, CSW, McAfee, Peter R., or any of the other BCash cult leaders. They received all their BCash for free too. When the whole project goes tits up they won't care. In fact they've all probably quietly traded their BCash for more BTC.

I did convert quite a bit of my BTC to BCH after the fork. At a cost basis of about 17:1. It was a vote of confidence in what I see as BCH's superior monetary characteristics.

Will I be vindicated in the end? Jury is still out.

But I'm winning so far. Perhaps that's what's really bugging you.

You're not winning anything, because your shitcoin is merely being wash-traded back and forth by a few whale miners on a few exchanges. No one is buying any of that shit. No one is using it for e-commerce, it has barely any transaction movement at all. There is no merchant adoption. It's a DOA shitcoin.

SO, in your estimation, you would value the BTC that I traded for BCH as somehow less than some equivalent amount of fiat traded for BCH? You value fiat higher than Bitcoin? Understood. Explains a lot, really.

Can we please leave bcash alone for satoshi's sake? (no, I don't mean that fuckface Craig) Bcash is just a testnet to see bitcoin's potential weaknesses. Just like Litecoin is bitcoin's testnet before the huge protocol upgrades. If bcash kills bitcoin somehow, damn then It very well deserves the #1 spot. Let them attack with everything they got. DDOS'ing nodes, spreading FUD&Lies whatever. Everybody with a half functioning brain can see what's happening.

Let's focus on Bitcoin's price. Where are we going at now? Moon? $100k? Give me some good news!

Bitcoin's price is fine, just fine. How's that ?  Grin

In other news, this is exactly the same level of hubris and entitlement that Silicon Valley exhibited right before the dot com crash... history to repeat?
