Absolutely cause anybody that sell his or her holding in other not to loose because of the dump in price of the market such person person is already loosing. How ever, this remind of Papa Laszlo the man who bought 2 pizza with 10,000 bitcoin back in the year 2010 and I knew he will surely regret doing that now. Guys don't sell your bitcoin now if it not for an important or urgent situation so you won't regret it.

Remember my friend, you don't pay for them to come into your life.

You pay them to leave.

Very important to always remember this.

Really dude?

According to laszlo;
Quote
You know, I don't regret it. I think that it's great that I got to be part of the early history of Bitcoin in that way, and people know about the pizza and it's an interesting story because everybody can kind of relate to that and be [like] - "Oh my God, you spent all of that money!" I was also kind of giving people tech support on the forums and I ported Bitcoin to MacOS, and you know, some other things - fix bugs and whatnot, and I've always kind of just wanted people to use Bitcoin and buying the pizza was one way to do that. I didn't think it would get as popular as it has, but it's gotten to be a really catchy story for people.
Source

Bitcoin was cheap back then, and we can never tell the future. Both laszlo and jercos made a sacrifice, and it became a history.

Who knows, he might be hodling more than BTC10k.

Truth be told if he hadn't spent those bitcoins on a pizza, and if CNN hadn't picked it up as a "story" then Bitcoin would have gone the way of flooz and all the other weird payment methods. It was that event IMO that got bitcoin something more than "stupid idea" into "hey, someone will actually pay for this stuff".

Laszlo died for your sins....

No  he has no coins left. He sold his remaining coins for next to nothing and didn't buy back. He must hate every bitcoin pizza day.

Sadly the guy who was paid those bitcoins sold them for a few hundred dollars which he used to pay for a holiday.

You think a publicly known early miner would admit to still retaining coins? I sure as shit would not.

Fair point.

He probably created a bogus business & just pays himself a salary (essentially living off the thousands of bitcoin’s he still holds)

Perhaps, but if he was prepared to part with 10k for two pizzas then he was probably prepared to part with the rest of his coins for an extremely low price.
