I don't see how Bitcoin cash could have influenced such a huge dump. Not possible. This is just whales building on the fomo from the small dump. If we see a rise, it will be a flash spike to 6k or above. But until then, we keep falling, whales keep pushing. Just like they push everytime there was a "scary" news article about crypto. Just like when the asians threatened to end crypto. They will use these chances to keep pushing down as far as they can. The bounce back up will be much bigger.

The markets just do what they do. Over the years, I've come to look at news stories and recent events as excuses more than causes.

I invested my life savings into bitcoin when it hit 19K. My investment is now only worth 1/4 of what it was before and my wife’s boyfriend won’t stop calling me an “idiot” since I can no longer afford to put my wife’s boyfriend’s son through college.

I haven't actually laughed out loud on this forum in a while. That was bluddy hilarious. Wife's boyfriend. Nice!

Money is not everything in this land
From the beginning I write in my comments that prices are overpriced
but i bought at 5600
The irritating thing
Is the people here in this theard or in this site bitcointalk.org They say prices will never drop below 5800
Consultation is sometimes influenced by decisions
Merchants of wolves  Sad
I feel that we must buy now and not when price rise Future pumps will be $ 1000 a day ( 8000 to 7000 for example)
We must stop pessimism and despair

2.  Many people in the media, and many sheep actually BELIEVE CSW is Satoshi, or "part of Satoshi".  That level of uncertainty is powerful.  When he starts proclaiming that BTC is doomed and he is going back to *his(lol)* old design with BSV then these "believers" will dance to his music, run for the hills, or just hedge. This equals selling pressure.

I like you post overall, but this point I take much exception with.

Define "many people" who believe he is Satoshi. There is zero evidence to support that we're talking more than a few dozen people, if that. Worldwide. If that.

The MSM, Twitter, YouTube and all the fake sock puppet accounts on many forums can make it seem like such belief is widespread, when it's not in the slightest.

What if.... Cool

It's possible.  The cost basis of people like the Winklevoss is something like $100 nowadays I think; Roger Ver probably a lot lower; Tim Draper, Pantera Capital, and everyone else I'd guess mostly around $200-400.
In-Q-Tel and the CIA are sitting on a bunch of $1-2 coins unless they've sold them to fund god knows what.  Everyone is still sitting on coins they got for mega-cheap with no real interest in being the marginal buyer for $6000, $20,000, or whatever ridiculous number people want to throw out.  A real shakeout hasn't occurred until the majority of the market is either breakeven or underwater, so prices of $5000 are nowhere near "blood in the streets".

Nah, I have just enough. When I collect them up I dump them in this thread because of all the threads I’ve seen on this forum Adams thread has always been the most generally educational. Of course, you have to endure the occasional round of butt cheeks and memes but usually, if you hang out here long enough, you’ll learn something.

well shit, starting to look a lot like December 2014 with the big drop down. The only thing that has me concerned this time is that after the drops we arn't really getting a decent bounce back. Bounces a little, then just flatlines with low volume, can't be a good sign.

Did the 2014, 2015 period have more demand, hence the bouncebacks after declines with no flatlines? or was it just easier to move the price because the price was lower?

Anyway not a good day for us types, just hoping that it reaches a bottom soon.
