Somewhere, deep in the spice-rich sands of the Arrakeen deserts, Shai-Hulud stirs.

Everyone here watched/liked pretty much the same movies (and/or books).
Someone needs to make a psych profile of a bitcoiner or, better, WO bitcoiner.

I predict: mostly well educated open-source participating technotrend gambler with a knack for 'scientific' explanation of his or her (less likely) theories.
Yet, it seems to work (long term).

Where were all these exchanges, who are now taking a stand against "bad actors", when Roger Ver was actively trying to defraud bitcoin investors with his bait and switch scam?

I am almost sure at least someone here must know his fucking shit about video projectors.... Am I wrong?

I need a *BUDGET* long throw OUTDOORS projector (around 5+ meters to the wall) .... Any suggestions? I know you guys know.....

Not that much resolution needed, as the viewing point will be like 15-20 meters (the other end of the pool)  or more from the projected wall. It's brilliance and contrast what I need.

P.S.: Inb4 someone starts screming offtopic let's just say this is *wall observing* at its finest, you know.

Are you me?  I was pondering this today.

Hahhaa, then we need this to be resolved like already. What's your budget? Me, being the poor miserable fucker I am, plan to spend less than $200. I know it would be possible since I already saw the performance of a much older and cheaper (around $120 Excelvan brand) projector that was more or less satisfactory even if just barely. But I want MORE. More brilliance mostly. And I need it now, as I am already filling the pool.

I am afraid that I am letting the team down. I have the design on my counter and contract in my inbox.  Still about 3 - 4 months away from being able to fill it.

What are you projecting onto ?  Just white paint?

Building a seastead was a dumb idea to begin with, he would of been better off buying a bunch of land somewhere and trying to start his own country.

wow.  you just got on the "ignore" list of 95% of WO participants.

If this is true, and its hard to tell without the complete forensics..he is about to enter another larger world of shit.

I hope her legal team is competent. Sounds like someone needs to file a amicus curiae brief.

If you can actually go to the moon, bring supplies and stuff, and live there for a couple of years, I don't think any government on Earth is going to bother you.

Now, if you are more than 200 nautical miles away from most any country ... who is going to bother you except pirates ...

Practically, it's much easier to just live in some country and build up your own fortress and private security, and make friends with the locals.

Would be nice to completely destroy Craigs Shitcoin with all the delistings. I think this would pave the way for delisting Bcash, now that its clearly never going to come close to overtaking the one true King of Coins.

With both coins delisted by most exchanges and having lost another 90 percent of market cap value, getting Bitcoin to 100k will be a breeze.

Craig may have done us a huge favor by angering the community and showing everyone how easy it will be to delist the imposter coin known as Bcash and give it its final death blow.

All imposter shitcoiners should be trembling with fear and if they arent completely retarded, then dumping bags for Bitcoin before its too late and everyone realizes how vulnerable they were the whole time.

BCASH IS A FUCKING SCAM, NO MORE PRETENDING ITS NOT, NO MORE MR NICE EXCHANGE, TIME TO DELIST THE CANCER, EVERYONE EMAIL SUPPORT AT YOUR FAVORITE EXCHANGE AND TELL THEM AS A CUSTOMER YOU DEMAND THEY DELIST THE IMPOSTER BITCOIN

Bitcoin Treasure Hunt Worth USD 1m to Unite Players Worldwide

Quote
A new alternate reality puzzle game has a thousand keys barring the way to USD 1 million in Bitcoin all over the world, prompting players to organize themselves into teams, not unlike the ones in popular young adult book Ready Player One, in order to lay their hands on the prize.

A cryptic message broadcasted to the Blockstream satellite on April 13th was the challenge for all would-be players to participate in “Satoshi’s Treasure,” described as a contest to “test the resolve, courage, intelligence, and savvy of would-be hunters.”

Quote

Quote
A total of 1,000 fragments of the private key are hidden around the world, and at least 400 of those are needed to move the funds. Players can team up, organize hunts, and even sell their key fragments - there are almost no rules, and the ones that do exist even come down to common sense.

The rules promise that the keys will not be hidden inside private property, and that Hunters should under no circumstances enter those areas if they have not been invited. They will also not require any destruction of property, and should a Hunter consider destroying a Key to prevent others from finding it, the creator promises to reveal all the keys this Hunter holds to everyone, thus disqualifying them.

A total of 20 people participated in creating the game. One of them is Eric Meltzer, co-founder of venture investment firm Primitive Ventures, who also donated part of the loot. He was joined by Ian Miers, co-creator of privacy coin Zcash, and 18 other unnamed contributors in creating the game - all in order to ensure that none of them know all of the locations of the loot. The rest of the loot was capped off by an anonymous angel investor.

The first clue seems to point towards satellites: “These locations can be discovered by monitoring the output of the primitive orbitals known in your time as GALAXY18, EUTELSAT 113, TELSTAR 11N, and TELSTAR18V at 1PM EST, APRIL 14th in the year 2019,” the clue reads. It goes on to add, “This is not history's first great hunt, nor its last, but it is MINE, and so it is to me that you must prove yourself. I have devised a series of puzzles and challenges of increasing difficulty; they will test even the most resourceful hunter or clan.”

Other clues will be revealed at noon PST (UTC-8) on Sundays and anyone interested in participating is free to sign up for notifications. Meltzer told news publication CoinDesk that they’re also considering an app to help players keep track of everything, but that it will not be required to play. According to him, most of the participants are very young, and a number of them are minors.

Calvin's relationship/partnership with Craig right now.

Ayre has reportedly been involved with CSW since at least Feb 2016. See this lengthy article, though note that it uses info from several highly unreliable sources, so you have to second-guess everything. Apparently, Wright worked in Antigua on gambling websites a long time ago, which is Ayre's residence and line of business, so they probably met directly or indirectly through this.

Wright first publicly made his appearance in the Bitcoin scene in Dec 2015, and apparently he was engaging in the "I'm Satoshi but down on my luck, plz give me a small loan of a million dollars" shtick from at least around mid 2015. The fact that Ayre was involved so early makes me a bit suspicious that he could be in on the con, but it's also possible that he's just fallen for it real deep.

I find Ayre's actions inexplicable. He appeared in this space suddenly, with a thin recent history. He's fixated on statist arguments, but his history makes me think that he should be biased against the state. (CSW has also been talking about this: which one is influencing the other?) He's stuck steadfastly by CSW for 3+ years with nothing obvious to show for it, and probably significant losses. (But is there something we don't know about? Does he somehow stand to profit from the current course of events, where SV & CSW fail in a loud and dragged-out way?)

If anyone has some connection to Ayre through a friend-of-a-friend or something, I'd really like to know what's actually going through his mind.
