...waiting for price to rocket around like a pinball on the Gox announcement... Edit: with Guinness beer in hand.
Has Gox actually given a date when trading will start again? Or even a date when it will announce a date when trading will start again? All I thought was due was an 'update', probably at COB Tokyo time seeing how Gox likes to delay everything.

All I thought was due was an 'update', probably at COB Tokyo time seeing how Gox likes to delay everything. So they haven't halted trading as far as I know. So withdrawals may re-open as early as tomorrow or ...12 hrs from now near 7-8pm Japan Time currently 5 past 7 in the morning there.

What do you think of this.
Gox is still sending fiat withdrawals, there have been people receiving them throughout this time they have halted btc withdrawals.
If they are insolvent, would that not be in breach of Japanese law ?

That would imply rpietila to be a protagonist of some sort. They're just two guys that spend too much time writing on a Bitcoin forum, one of whom is bullish and one of whom is bearish. What do you think of this.

Are people seriously considering the possibility Gox is insolvent? As far as I'm concerned I just doubled the size of my bitcoin stash in exchange for them being held hostage for a couple weeks. Worst case I don't get 100% of my coins back, maybe 80-90% because Gox actually is insolvent.

People are mad cause they're further than the next person behind in line. I don't think that they've ever fully stop processing fiat withdrawals. However this is all just info I am picking and choosing to remember lol

Yes, if he is insolvent that can put him in jail. By the way they are not insolvent, I think the price discount is due to the fact that nobody knows when the btc withdrawals will begin, the more we wait, more selling pressure will be.

I just mean that with the situation as it is if they are doing fiat withdrawals still at all then are they not in breach of the law ?

People transferrin money to Gox due to the discount--> Gox is in the game for a few more weeks. Before they can withdraw Stamp goes down to Gox price. Goxxed again.

Another mini dump going on at bitstamp right now...nothing too extraordinary though. It seems like each time we get a little momentum upwards, there is someone waiting to sell off a big chunk. Knock it off! lol

Does anyone know what the significance of 261.23 is on gox? Watching the 15 min charts that's what the bottom has been for hours.
