i wasn't so angry as after reading this in a fair while (i mean years).

Airplane engine destroyed by a missle is still a mechanical failure. In the videoclip you see the engine already on fire we all want to see the moment before it.

Iran refuses releasing the black box to Boeing wich is actually an obligation.

This detail is vapor, steem. Media driven hysteria.
No state returns blackboxes to the manufacturer. So why should Iran?

EDIT: Usually the manufacturer of the flight recorder is invited for the investigations, led by the state where the accident was happening.
So many informations on this, almost nothing confirmed or official. Only "may", "could", "might"... As usual

We are not the dumbest dna cluster on earth because Iran finally admits shooting down Ukrainian airliner from human error after initial denials.

Good evening Bitcoinland from my air-conditioned hotel room in Playa del Carmen.

So far so good. I got in here yesterday and the price was about $7.8k and now it`s up over $8.2k... currently $8232USD $10743CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Hopefully we can put that crap to rest about my travels south somehow causing the price to fall. It was getting annoying.

Countertrend. Now every time you travel south, the price must go up. You know what you must do.
We want the moon so he must travel to Antarctica. Cheesy

Its nice to see green dildo days are coming back to bitcoin price chart.

The high correlation of Bitcoin and Gold makes many optimistic ..

Quote
Kang admits here that it’s possible that the rise and fall in response to the conflict was probably triggered by speculators. However, regardless of that possibility, Kang says that people have a stronger “belief in BTC as a hedge to global uncertainty, leading to more people trading BTC on macro events.”

It may prove to be an advantage to have at least a correlation with gold and that Bitcoin has a low correlation with other Stock Market actions ...

New Data Suggests Bitcoin and Gold Aren’t as Correlated as You Think

Cumulative return of investing in gold, oil and bitcoin in April 2013 sample until Christmas 2019

Bitcoin’s (BTC) classification has been a controversial and difficult topic for crypto-enthusiasts, investors, and regulators to reach a consensus on. The digital asset has been compared to a currency, a commodity, an investment asset or even said to have no underlying value. However, from the perspective of regulators, Bitcoin has been mostly associated and studied as a commodity, especially in relation to gold. In fact, many times Bitcoin is referred to as the “new gold” or “digital gold.”

On the bad side I just found out Neil Peart is dead. There goes my hero.

One of the all-time greatest!  Neil Peart inspired my younger brother to take up the drums.  Lots of fond memories.

Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. Ignorance and prejudice and fear walk hand in hand.

Your nerdiness isnt a question at this point, its well established.  Kiss Now do what you do best and get back to sifting through girly travel instagram pics for some cool poser pics to impress people who cant right click.  Cheesy

Let's not be too kind to the relevant instaslut with inappropriate words such as "girly". I bet she's over 45.

This is her best side, apparently

Most of you are legends, ...
Legendary status correlates to making many posts [...]

Nowadays, yes. While collecting merits. But there are members that got legendary for mostly just being around a lot, pre-merit era. Although I believe the merits are serving their purpose for more quality posts, the most wordy are not almost contributing the most.

Believe lurking should be rewarded as well. Would like to be able to hand out more merits to quality posts, while not being an active poster myself.
If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.
 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully.
 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.

I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections.

Apply to be a source. Not only will you be able to do as you desire there^, but your knob will be that much shinier.
Suggest you 1. get on with it, as spaces for applicants are filling up, 2. advertise your thread here and the local section, as we are nothing if not parochial er fraternal and 3. be patient as admin only looks at the whole question every few months.

btw same goes for VB1001 (bitserve too lazy?), JSRAW, ivomm etc would heartily recommend

Decided as of Monday I'll be bearish  Grin

New target: $5,600, until proven otherwise. Fits with the bear channel we're in that everyone else has already identified.
Going to put my short-term bear cap back on folks.

Mmmhhh, what has changed your mood about it? That channel was already there. The only news of the past few days is that after the pump to 8.4K it retraced to retest 7.8K as expected and bounced back nicely. Next step could be some sideways and maybe then breaking upwards outside the channel.

I mean, it could also go back down as you say, but TA (if that's what you prefer) hasn't changed and price dynamics have been very positive lately.

$5.6K looks bearish AF at this time but hey, everything is possible.

Sometimes placing an order (or a short) can change an otherwise seemingly reasonable person's perspective, even though the facts may not have changed as much as the fact as their book has changed.   Hahahahahahaha  ..

I don't see a bull market on the Daily charts, although I can obviously see the argument on a Weekly/Monthly time-scale.
I just see shorting bear-cross resistance of long-term MAs as high probability scenarios, same as longing bull crosses for that matter (when price is re-testing that is).

TLDR:  pre-emptive "sorry for your loss dragonvslinux" (ditto whiteboy420).(not really). shouldn't be shorting king daddy in a likely bull market.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

That's what everyone said last time at $9,500, telling me I just draw squiggly lines that make no sense and we're going to the moon.

]

While it turned out to be one of my best short-trades, probably because of the high-risk Cheesy Cheesy

I've always liked this thread since I first set foot in it, about 13 months ago. It does have a bit of a cozy feel to it. Though sometimes I (and perhaps a few others) bark like the house bulldog when a visitor pisses me (us) off.

Whats funny is I tried to get Flying Hellfish to post more in here as I thought he would fit in quite nicely, but he told me that this thread scares him. I asked him "why", and he said its because technical analysis scares him. So, its not for everybody, I suppose.

Oh I;m scared of homeopathy, oh and flat-earthers, astrololligists etc.

5.6k will very likely be achieved in 2020 so why not... but it won't happen before second half of the year. There should still be a bounce back to 9k area.
Been waiting for 9k, possibly 9.5k to cash out but I am starting to lose patience. February is my target but wouldn't mind observing 9k next week!

I still think the halvening will have an effect but a late effect, hence the bearish trend for the whole year 2020, then recovery starting in 2021 but not enough recovery to see 19k yet (hence the infamous bet...).

I think its not a bad idea with asking for merit source status and telling the lurking part etc....

Read a few applications and the rule of what you need to provide....

Then send in the thread after you finished it, then just wait it could take some weeks or months (especially now cause new sources have been added and merit supplies been increased etc)
But better the make it now and be pending for the time, many will talk in the thread and bump it up in META so when there would be added some more then you have a bigger chance imo
