There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

You could buy a copy of "The Internet of Money Vol 1,2 and the recent 3" Too much of goodness and you will start hating fiat even more after finishing up the volumes.

haha, not block #9430 but price $9430!

Solid diesel power there, confirming at this price would be a strong condition for a push beyond recent highs.   It was in danger of failing momentum and losing that short term trend.   Lets see how the daily bar goes.   Target 9835 upside, a break down would have been a larger move I reckon, Yogi misses out on this picnic basket.

The recovery rate is good?  I guess not epidemic style

It's not good, but gets better.
Two weeks ago the infection count must have been around 1500, can anyone please confirm?
I lost that table somewhere, but i think it was bout 11 days from now in the past. So after a few days more we can check how long the delay from "confirmed infection" to dead/recovered really is. This will be important to estimate more realistic lethality numbers.

OT: I'm leaving the house with no internet for about two hours, so chances are higher that a big move will happen in that time.   Tongue
May it be UP!!!

Solid citation for the humans are 96% compatible with chimps. Thank you.

I will never forget the talk that Pabo gave about the cross-compatibility between H. Neanderthal and H. Sapiens and his response to a reporter asking if a modern person could cross-breed:

"You want to know if you could... mate... with a H. Neanderthal"..... (answer was yes)

But I think my citation request was more for:

"Someone's monkeyed with nCoV and now humanity has to deal with the exposure and alteration to our immune systems (and probably genomes) for all eternity."

I think that's a bit of a stretch at this point. :-)

You are not going to censorship me...  Angry

I don't want to censorship you! I just want to smack some sense in your head so that you stop being distracted by the subtle and irrelevant details of everyone's writing styles and focus (and argue if you feel the need) on the practical/real meaning of the contents FFS!  Grin

Seems to me that largely my responses had been focusing on the substance of what Majormax had been saying both in regards to his assertion for a need for stability and a need for a dip...

In other words, seems like a more substantive rather than a tonal response, even though maybe there might have been some attempts at fun with references to tone in response to you, but NOT in terms of my response to Majormax.....

In other words, I am sticking to my guns with what I already said, because overexplaining does not seem to be helping... Maybe I already over 'splained?

Beat me to your heart's content... such beatings are not going to either improve morale nor discourage me into conceding that my posts had not been responsive attempts to Majormax and about tone.. same thing with any of my other posts, generally speaking..

I am not conceding nothing in regards to any purported overtonal emphases in my posting focus....     Tongue

Look who's in a bad mood.     Shocked

To be honest I wasn't in the best of moods yesterday (IRL issues, irrelevant here)... But my post wasn't intended in a negative way. Just found it funny how you have repeatedly taken out of context the word "need" in the very same context time after time... even though I think you do it on purpose Wink

This disease is just a sample of the consequences. It started with some chinese eating bats.

Coat it in batter and fry it enough and its good, even some big ole insects I would try as I believe they are quite the tasty snack but the problem is not the eating various animals but the controls and how they are kept before being thoroughly cooked.    The conditions for these animals are inhumane and if you want to eat something, cook it well and keep it well or screw ups will happen.   Same fallout happened in the UK when they couldnt keep track of the feed source for the cattle, which turned out to be their brothers and sisters passed away in some small percentage it snowballed into requiring mass slaughter of stock; ie. the sick animals got fed to the well and a terrible fallout happens eventually passing even into the human chain as a problem.
The Chinese apparently have to learn this lesson how many times now before they stop repeating an obvious mistake and keep animals properly when in close proximity to humans, I dont know thats the truth of it but its not much of a stretch to believe way too many corners were cut for costs and we got consequences.   Can happen anywhere I guess but the most populated country with giant migration on packed trains and buses for New Years, disaster.

BTC/USD still trying to break out of the long term Fibonacci zone of resistance at $9273 to $9442. These are the two key long term Fibonacci resistance levels drawn from two different major swing highs to swing lows. Waiting for a weekly close above $9442.

Point and figure charting is time agnostic. The daily PnF chart gave a buy signal at $9262 next one will be at $10424.

The recovery rate is good?  I guess not epidemic style

Tencent may have accidentally leaked real data on Wuhan virus deaths.

Quote
As many experts question the veracity of China's statistics for the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, Tencent over the weekend seems to have inadvertently released what is potentially the actual number of infections and deaths, which were astronomically higher than official figures.

On late Saturday evening (Feb. 1), Tencent, on its webpage titled "Epidemic Situation Tracker", showed confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019nCoV) in China as standing at 154,023, 10 times the official figure at the time. It listed the number of suspected cases as 79,808, four times the official figure.

The number of cured cases was only 269, well below the official number that day of 300. Most ominously, the death toll listed was 24,589, vastly higher than the 300 officially listed that day.

Moments later, Tencent updated the numbers to reflect the government's "official" numbers that day. Netizens noticed that Tencent has on at least three occasions posted extremely high numbers, only to quickly lower them to government-approved statistics.

Netizens also noticed that each time the screen with the large numbers appears, it shows a comparison with the previous day's data which demonstrates a "reasonable" incremental increase, much like comparisons of official numbers. This has led some netizens to speculate that Tencent has two sets of data, the real data and "processed" data.

Some are speculating that a coding problem could be causing the real "internal" data to accidentally appear. Others believe that someone behind the scenes is trying to leak the real numbers.

However, the "internal" data held by Beijing may not reflect the true extent of the epidemic. According to multiple sources in Wuhan, many coronavirus patients are unable to receive treatment and die outside of hospitals.

A severe shortage of test kits also leads to a lower number of diagnosed cases of infection and death. In addition, there have been many reports of doctors being ordered to list other forms of death instead of coronavirus to keep the death toll artificially low.

(Left to right are nationally confirmed cases, suspected cases, cured and deaths.)

Infected people are not dead yet, but they are also not cured. If you compare the number of cured to the number of dead, then we are looking at a lethality of 34%.

Couple this with how easy it spreads. No symptoms for the first 2 weeks, it can survive outside a human body for 5 days, and most of the worlds airports are not shut down yet. And there are 2 new epicenters in china.

This could really be the big one.
