If stocks drop, this does not mean Bitcoin has to pump. If gold prices climb, this does not mean Bitcoin will rise with it everytime.

If digital gold narrative gets traction, actually the correlation with gold would be negative. If bitcoin would prove a reliable store of value, then price of gold would drop to the “intrinsic” or industrial value, being the price stripped of the financial value.
