It's amazing to me how the Average Joe public doesn't see how neatly controlled and managed our world markets are.

After the amazing up year in markets during 2021, this year the Fed flipped into rate hike mode precisely starting in January (supposedly to "tame inflation"), and now inflation looks tamed...precisely by end of December.

All neatly within the same calendar year.

Gee, how precise. Much managed.  Roll Eyes

I imagine that Jerome Powell has a sign hanging in his office. On one side it says "Up year" and on the other it says "Down year".

He flips the sign over every new year on January 1st when needed. And sends a photo snap to all the Wall Street insiders.  Roll Eyes   Tongue

With all the bullish MSM sentiment lately just 17 days into the new year, it looks like Powell flipped his sign this year to "Up Year".  Roll Eyes

I guess that's good for all markets though, including bitcoin.

"A rising tide lifts all boats."

Ok now is starting to look like bull flag on short-term time-frame, after failing ascending triangle break-out. Still expecting a fake-out to higher levels above $21.5K but this ain't no shorting range.

if that's not a good price point to short what is?
this has been one hell of a pop, I fully expect a strong pull back, maybe even retesting 15.5k.

When it breaks down from the bull flag. Not within it, unless you're scalping resistance to support that is, as it's a bullish continuation pattern until proven otherwise.

If we go back down to $15.5K, you can expect much lower than that though.

either way if it breaks up sell because the move is way over extended, or if it breaks down short cuz its going down.

[edited]

thanks this was helpful. but I personally will continuing to sell into this rally. I really don't think we will see a repeat of April 2019, the capitulation this time didn't push price That far under fair value. and for the record, i'm not shorting, just spot trading, so i cannot be liquidated.

Ok well that makes my point about shorting redundant then. If you're looking for a fair price to sell from the past 6+ months of trading at the lows then you certainly found it, can't argue with that. DCA would have got you an average price of around $19.5K, so hopefully you're selling a profit. And as the old saying goes, nobody ever went broke selling at a profit. I just hope you aren't banking on pricing falling lower after this, because right now it looks like a coin flip to me as well as others, until there is further confirmation to the upside or downside. Not sure what your "fair price" is, but right now realized price is sub $20K.

Personally I think Bitcoin is due a 10% correction to around $19K, which is bottom of the previous accumulation zone, that'd also be my short-term shorting target (as well as a target for longs). If price instead continued onto around $25K then I'd expect a deeper correction of around 20%, but therefore this'd be a higher price around $19.5K / 200 DMA. Likewise if for some crazy reason price went further parabolic to $30K, I'd expect a 30% correction to around $21K / current prices. The irony being that price continuing to the upside would deserve a deeper correction for sure, but these prices would still likely be higher.

You are quite smart. But "corrections" will only happen when *Bitcoin Master* deliberately stops posting on crypto/Bitcoin related things. So, people don't need to panic and begin to act foolishly. I want things to be fairly predictable to members who have been following my price prediction and trust that I will continue to be consistent and reliable as long as my CREATOR is with me, and I'm sure HE will never leave me.  But such members will likely need very convincing proofs (especially considering we are in trustless environment)... proofs so convincing that no one anywhere in the world can find fault in. I actually want them to take enough time to observe the Predictions of Bitcoin Master and be sure he is telling the truth before they can trust him.
By the way, we will continue to witness the most precised and reliable Bitcoin price Prediction in the world from him.
One of the main reasons for all these is for the World, Bitcointalk forum and cryptocurrency space in general to know I have truely been given the Authority and Power to be a Moses and Elijah to them, and guide those who want to be guided away from the gripe of Pharaoh/satan to the Promiseland/Paradise. The journey has already begun & True Cryptocurrency will be used an alternative financial system. There are people who are trying to draw us back due especially to the fact they consume and believe things from the World. Don't forget that Pharoah/satan will always try to use them as traitors are used to take people back to Egypt/slavery. It's important to note that this one is a journey that encompasses all Nations/tribes/races... That is, both Jews and the Gentile.  The CREATOR is so Merciful, Lovely and Kind. All Glory and Adoration be HIS HOLY NAME.

I need everyone to focus and understand what I'm doing. I notice it's easy to continue to convince people with Miracles. But remember the good works also. The proofs are numerous but we will provide more to ensure that no one is left behind. However, it's written that "many are called but few are chosen". Be sure to be part of the chosen and never miss this.

Rumours are brewing that Apple has begun scanning your local harddrives for images (or possibly other data it deems inappropriate):

Apple Has Begun Scanning Your Local Image Files Without Consent

From personal experience I already know that Microsh*t is scanning every mail you send or receive and every webpage you visit in real-time.

Then again, if you have nothing to hide - you have nothing to worry - right?

A self-professed hacker who runs an Apple laptop and macOS, instead of a customized/secure Linux setup, is not a very wise hacker in my book.

Just sayin'.

Also a side note: I never store any photo images or important documents to local disk.

External backup drive w/ USB cable only. Gets connected for file transfer or browsing, then disconnected from everything when not needed.

Easy peasy security lemon squeezy.

Couldn't agree more.
And when you ask one of these hackers why they have a Mac they will tell you how slick the Macbook XY is, how long the battery lasts and what a joy the keyboard is and on top of that it's so incredibly fast. Also they let you know that they found Apple not to be that bad (I agree somewhat on the level where burglars are not as bad as massmurderers) and that MacOS is actually pretty nifty and cool and it doesn't stop there you can even run windows on it..
Had these chats, don't miss them.

If security is really a priority for a system, I use OpenBSD as it comes already pretty hardened and locked down and the code is getting constantly audits.

I do not use Mac or any apple products because I don't want to enter their eco-system cycle and spend thousands of bucks.
But I use Windows on My PC, and I never knew Microsoft scanned my emails. Is it based on your personal experience only?
If so, How do you know and how to you understand it? Can you refer me to any articles?

Feels like the market is catching it's breath after the big move upward.  Holding here and moving sideways would be a great sign that accumulation is still in play and another big move upwards is in the cards.  I wouldn't be surprised to see the market jump up to $30K and then have another long sideways journey.  This should be the new norm rolling into the next halving in April of next year.  The name of the game now is how many BTC can you get your hands on and off of exchanges.  People who thought they owned BTC in FTX will be forced to buy more if they want to own BTC.  Exchanges that want to stay afloat will need to buyback customer BTC.  Same with investment funds.  I don't think we're done quite yet.

Yeah, they'll counter that they have Ubuntu running in a VM on it  Grin
Seriously though if one needs to run a Mac application - for example for the job - I get it, as the other way around (running MacOS in a VM on a non-Apple host) is close to impossible.

I mean, this is one of the more interesting things I've read here in a while.

Divinity-driven TA. God is never wrong.

Our universe can only unfold in one particular way, and it has all been predetermined since the time of the Big Bang.

The only person who knows how it unfolds and thus what will happen to the price of BTC is God, and who are we to deny His omnipotence, for we are but playthings in one of His many petri dish simulations.

On a slightly different subject, for the longest time I thought God had physical intercourse with Mary to birth the half-man, half-divine Jesus the Carpenter (he would have made a good technical analyst BTW). But I was informed by an evangelical college student as I was smoking a joint on campus that God "didn't just get it on" with Mary... but instead it was some kind of voodoo.

Disappointing.

65 God unsheathed his all-powerful sword (damn straight its big)
66 and plunged it deep into the recesses of the mortal virgin crevasse,
67 unleashing his seminal fury in an almighty explosion.
68 And the holy sperm did make its way unto Mary's cerviche,
69 traveling at warp speed to her breathlessly baited egge.

I am afraid of Linux interface because I heard that it's hard to find software for Linux. That's why I use windows because I can find windows software easily.

Some years ago I was tasked to find the reason why a customers unsubscribe links in a newsletter always get clicked and why.
Found the company offering the newsletter did not confirm the unsubscribe ("Are you sure" instead of a straight "Thanks for unsubscribing") and therefor the local windows defender (for which I haven't found a way to disable it - which means shit as I have no clue of windows) reported all links from the mail to the cloud and the cloud then triggered the unsubscribe by accessing the link while the customer read the newsletter.

I then setup a dummy website and sent the customer a mail with a link to that website and once the customer started to read the mail an amazon IP requested that exact very random link from there. I have since learned that Microsoft uses some amazon IPs to request such links, as the more professional crims deliver unsuspecting content when they see a security firm requesting i.e. an otherwise malicious resource. Funny enough the crims know very well which amazon IPs belong to Microsoft for scanning and avoid them which I learned when I googled those IPs that I had collected while testing.
I later was told by somebody I trust that the same is true for the web browsers and other mail clients than outlook. I personally can only say for sure that outlook does it, the rest is heresay.

Actually Linux might have all you need in terms of software, and it even installs much easier, quicker and safer from the package repository than the mess of different utilities that you have to download from dozens of shady websites to get a minimally useable windows.
