also a newbie can do a paid membership to get alot of the restrictions taken off. More "member like" treatment faster... Just search Paid Membership... or go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote ... It will generate a unique payto btc address. i just paid $20 USD .0002BTC and if was confirmed within 10min. might recommend if you want to send more than 1DM an hr, etc

What is the usage of merit?
All you have to know was said in the first lines. You want to have a member rank? Then try to post constructively to earn from other users at least 10 merit.

Detailed! Posts like this is what crypto enthusiasts should find upon registration. This information will not just guide but direct you on how to navigate in the Forum and not get a negative trust.
When I joined the Forum some months ago, it was really difficult for me to work here. I was so scared not to get a negative trust, or get banned.
The first warning PM I got, freaked me out, I almost did not want to make a post anymore, but I figured I needed to , so me to grow. So I kept searching for links, posts, not just in the Forum, Google also, some landed me in the right post, that even got me a merit.
This is a suggestion: Is there any way, a link to the Do's and Don'ts plus rules can be the first thing a Newbie see upon registration so that, they can read and digest it before launching into the Forum?
Thanks again for taking time to look into this and the detailed update.
