There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. Server-assisted clients like blockchain.info rely on centralized servers to do their network verification for them. Although the server can't steal the client's bitcoins directly, it can easily execute double-spending-style attacks against the client.

Hmm, didn't read the whole thread, but as far as I now understood:
To become a 'member' I need to be
- active for at least four weeks and
- post a minimum of 30 times

Correct me if I'm wrong please!

30 post = Jr Member. For  Member you need 60 now.

What’s the different between “Brand New” and “Newbie”?  Both with 0 post and none respectively with 1 gold under their name. Thanks

"Brand new" is a user who has never posted anything. "Newbie" has posted something in the past. Why there are Newbies with 0 posts? Probably they have posted something that was later considered as spam so the post was deleted. It's kinda weird because rank should go down to a "Brand new". Maybe it doesn't work for these two ranks.

Nope, this means 3 x 2 weeks of activity (you're considered as active as soon as you have 1 post in the period). With a minimum of 30 posts at all.
You can only gain 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

I also asked about if I don't use my account for like 3 months or more, will get suspended, I will lose my activity number or what would happen?
Do I get to keep my rank?
My post was removed, I was told it's off topic in a way, but I really don't know where to ask this question if not here? Smiley
Thanks

Honestly, I have no idea.

If the account is suspended, and not deleted, I would say that you keep your points.. but I'm really not sure at all.

I'd say to create a topic here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0
This is the only section about the forum itself.

If someone is not active for a longer period, does he remain the rank or does a downgrade mechanism exist?
