Please I have more than 30 posts and my activities stops at 28. May I ask what is the difference between the post and activity count.
Posts have nothing with Activity because now activity will increase on 7 November 2017 and then 21 November 2017 mean after every 2 weeks you need to post minimum one post during this period Ok I just realized your answer just above my post

Are the BTC donation values for sub-ranking still valid, considering the current price of BTC?

Yes. However, you can donate any amount you wish to the forum here: https://bitcointalk.org/donate.htmli like it but i believe there are a lot bots / cracked accounts i think that you must make it harder to creat new account maybe id verification or something like that its out of controll
This is a terrible idea. Nobody wants to verify their identify just to be able to post on a message board forum and it's a huge security risk. I certainly wouldn't do it. I don't necessarily disagree on some restrictions being implemented like only one account is allowed to sign up per IP but these can still be easily bypassed.

If I understand correctly, I am able to get 14 activity points per 2 weeks, right? So let's say I will post 12 posts on the beggining of the 2 weeks, and then I will get my Activity +12 but nothing more during these 2 weeks, right? Or am I wrong here?

You will have 12 activity with the potential to get 14. Once the next period starts you can get another 14 potentially by making a post in that period. Once you have made 28 posts total you will then have 28 activity.

It's not about the quantity but the quality of posts, so if you're making dozens of low quality posts a day just to rank up then this isn't going to be acceptable. Posting exclusively in crappy off topic threads isn't acceptable either and if you do so you'll be banned as per the sticky in there. I.e. posts like this: i'm Pop Rock, i never listen slow and acoustic type of music.

Why is it enough to post only one message per day to get more activity and rank? Is there some reason this forum only allow to get the same activity for 200 messages and 1 message? I mean, there can be more activity for more posts (example 50 post per day = 2 activity, 100 = 3 etc.).

BadgesI added a system of badges to SMF a while ago, though only two are defined now. Here are the current badges: Bitcoin expert | Dev&Tech only. People with this badge know enough about the Bitcoin network to reimplement something very like it from scratch. They are capable of intelligently discussing the Bitcoin network: current protocol, possible attacks, proposed changes, etc. Criteria: Recommendation by an existing Bitcoin expert or core dev and approval by a forum administrator. | Bitcoin-Qt core developer | Dev&Tech only. These are the core developers of Satoshi's Bitcoin client. They are listed here. Core developers are among the top contributors to Bitcoin-Qt, and they are all bitcoin experts, though they don't also get that badge. | The Glider(hacker symbol) | Awarded for people who have responsibly disclosed forum security flaws. |
A core dev does not "outrank" a bitcoin expert (or vice-versa), and it's possible for someone without a badge to contribute meaningfully to a discussion with experts and core devs. Limits on postingwaittime = 360; if(activity >= 15) waittime = (int)(90 - activity); if(activity >= 60) waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity)); if(activity >= 100) waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4); Limits on PMsI've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult. Thank you for this valuable information. I think ranks are important because the projects and campaigns you can join are limited depending on the rank of your account. Therefore, by leveling them up, it provides more opportunities to you to join projects and basically to earn more.

I saw the date of the first post. I think that 10 BTC donation for Donator as sub rank is too expensive due to the rise of btc, isn't it? This has been discussed before. The donation ranks are based in BTC. Perhaps originally the designation was because it made sense for the USD value but as soon as the first donators have done it, that is the set price. It would be unfair to lower the price as it takes away the weight of the donation.
