If they post a day before the activity period then the day after in the new one you can have 28 activity in two days if you make the required posts.

if that was the case, the account should be older then 12 days right?? Since it can earn 14 point per 2 weeks

If a user joins before an activity period ends and make 14 posts, you can get 14 activity in one day. Then, they post after the new period starts, that account gets a total of 28 activity points in <2 days! In case of lipcoins, he joined on 18th and the period ended at 20th. So, even though he only joined BT for 12 days, he posted in 2 periods and thus, his activity is 28. tl;dr - don't calculate how "long" an account had joined BT for, instead calculate how many periods he/she posted in. I really dont understand how to calculate activity and post counts, isnt my post the same as my activity? please teach me thanks.
Post and activity are *not* same. "Posts" is total post count. Instead, activity depends on no. of posts you made during certain periods. A period is 14 days[1]. You get maximum of 14 points per 14 days as activity. If you haven't made any post in a 2 weeks period, you will loose activity points in that period forever. However, if you make at least one post in a period, you won't miss those activity points, instead, it gets accumulated and once you post next time, your activity will increase. That is, if you posted 3 times in a 2 weeks period, then your activity increases by 3 at the end of that 2 weeks period and remaining 11 points is saved up for later. When you post next time, in another period, you will be able to get 25 points, either if you post 25+ times or if your "posts" is higher than activity, i.e. 14 points of that period plus 11 points from previous period. Scenarios:- 1. Consider you have 112 "posts" and 112 "activity". You post one time, then at the end of a period, your activity and posts will be 113. You got 1 activity point and remaining 13 points will be accumulated for later. 2. Consider you have 112 posts and activity and you made 20 posts, then at the end of period, your posts will be 132, but you activity will be 126. (Note: 14 points max per period(2 weeks = 14 days.) 3. Consider you have 125 posts and 112 activity. You made 15 posts, then your posts will be 140, but your activity will be 126. (Note: 14 points max per period.) 4. Consider you have 125 posts and 112 activity. You made 1 post, then your posts will be 126, but your activity will be 126. That is, you get 1 activity point by posting once in that period plus 13 posts (125-112=13). 5. Consider you have 125 posts and 112 activity. You made 5 posts, then your posts will be 130, but you activity will be 126. [1] Someone has made a list of dates. I will post here if I finds it. If someone else knows, please post! Edit: Got it! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0
P.S. If you can't understand something, don't tell "I didn't understand"! Instead, ask about the part you didn't understand. It will help us to give you a better and accurate answer. Thanks for this informative post. Great! now I understand why even I posted countless times in one day my activity points doesn't move a bit makes sense now, I've been wondering about this, thanks!

This post is very useful and I've been looking for it since I joined. I feel it should be MUCH easier to find and maybe there should be a small section at the top of the forum called "Community Rules" or something like that to give clear instructions as to how to go about the forum, posts # vs activity and so on. its the top post in the meta section ... what more can you want?!

https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=is8n84s6You need at least 775 activity to have a chance to become legendary. For your activity to reach 775, it will take ~44 periods (1 period = 14 days), i.e. ~88 weeks = ~618 days. Thanks for really explaining this, this should be up there to help others quicker.
You're welcome!

As I understood your rank on forum is set by the amount of posts you make and the time since you registered. But is somebody monitoring meaningfulness of posts? Because in theory I could say "Hi forum" a million times and become a Legend (or what is the maximal rank). Best Regards
