How can I join a signature bounty campaign? In the regulations here I find there is a restriction to the new. However, there are some campaigns that allow newbies to join, but I have tried without being able to participate. Can only help me?
You need to buy Copper Membership if you want to be able to add a signature. Check out other info and direct link to buy here : Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable imagesIn this forum, the rule related to up rank are clear. But is there any time when some one just look at your name and likes to give you merit?
They'll look at your post. If someone find it constructive, helpful, worth reading etc., then they might give you a merit.

BadgesI added a system of badges to SMF a while ago, though only two are defined now. Here are the current badges: A core dev does not "outrank" a bitcoin expert (or vice-versa), and it's possible for someone without a badge to contribute meaningfully to a discussion with experts and core devs. Limits on postingwaittime = 360; if(activity >= 15) waittime = (int)(90 - activity); if(activity >= 60) waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity)); if(activity >= 100) waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4); Limits on PM'ing (private messaging): Activity | Max recipients | Max recipients if whitelisted | Max PMs per hour | Max PMs per hour if whitelisted | Max PMs per day | Max PMs per day if whitelisted | 0 | 2 | 10 | 1 | 40 | 2 | 120 | 15 | 3 | 10 | 10 | 40 | 15 | 120 | 30 | 5 | 10 | 10 | 40 | 30 | 120 | 100 | 7 | 14 | 20 | 80 | 150 | 600 | 250 | 15 | 30 | 120 | 120 | 300 | 1200 | 500 | 30 | 30 | 120 | 120 | 1200 | 1200 |
You are automatically whitelisted if you buy a copper membership. You don't need to wear the copper membership, just own it. You can also be whitelisted for free by any staff member and a few non-staff, but we're going to need some reason to think that you actually deserve it. Do not ask me for free whitelisting. Whitelisting is a not a license to spam. You will be immediately banned if you're found spamming, even if you bought a copper membership (and you will not be refunded). AvatarsFull Member and up only. It must be no more than 120px wide, 80px tall, and 100 KiB in size. It must be a PNG, GIF, or JPEG image. It must be safe for work. edit: updated PM limits Today I read carefully this section. Really helpful to me. I set up this account and also participated in some activities. I think the reward is worth it for every individual who makes a positive contribution to the forum. However for me as a user I never paid attention to the Rank. Be active with your passion

Maybe you should start reading then. Literally at the top of the thread (in bold): maybe you should not be rude. I asked a question politely. And didn't need a rude response. There is a lot of information to read here. And when i was a member before there was not the merit system. So please if your not going to be helpful in a courteous way keep your comments to yourself. Thank you

He's not being rude because It did seem like you did a post without reading the OP which I still believe is the case as well otherwise, you wouldn't ask that question in the first place. I understand that the post is long but it contains all the info needed, so taking the effort to read it is appreciated.

Look, it's not hard. The info you were looking for was literally the first thing at the top of the thread. Anyone reading this thread would literally get the answer in seconds. The fact that you had to ask that question instead of searching yourself just shows that you were lazy. My answer was simple and direct: read first, ask later if you have any doubts.

The fact that you had to ask that question instead of searching yourself just shows that you were lazy. My answer was simple and direct: read first, ask later if you have any doubts. I remember when a person could ask a question to this community without being berated and ridiculed for it. Times have changed. With the effort takes to talk shit to someone that is less informed than you, you could just be helpful instead and promote some positive vibes around here. The quality of this forum is deteriorating. Not just from the newbies either. I'm seeing more and more posts from high ranking members that are no better than the spammy newbie accounts. I, for one. still believe this should be a place that a person should feel comfortable asking legitimate questions without having to worry about whether or not their question is good enough for the "veterans". SMH.

John, you should look up the thread in the newbies section that has the same graphic. It's more up-to-date and has more detail. Also someone needs to do up a blurb on the Trust system that I only just noticed existed today, if it hasn't been done already.

John posted the thread on 2013 and now it is 2019 in the meantime a lots of changes have been made but there is no update on the thread especially for the merit requirement for ranking system which should be added.

So when will I have my 5 minutes cooldown removed?
Since you just got your 15th activity point, now you have (90 - activity) seconds of delay. That's 75 seconds for your current activity. Limits on postingwaittime = 360; if(activity >= 15) waittime = (int)(90 - activity); if(activity >= 60) waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity)); if(activity >= 100) waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

What about the copper member, any badges or just rank change?
All it changes (visually) is the rank title in your profile/under your name.
