Is it worth to buy L3 miner at current difficulty and expect profit from it
what will be return on investment
It is if you buy it from bitmain and do not support these people trying to resell them for 2-3x what they are worth. The last price I was given was around $1600 from bitmain, yet people are still trying to sell them for more than double that. It is ridiculous. |
Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

I'm waiting on an L3+ I ordered when they were ~1500 for march delivery and used a coupon to help a little. Anyway, when they listed another batch last night, they included a batch for $2378 that ships withing 10 working days. That's a bunch of BS to come out with an immediate batch when you already have people waiting, also they didn't give the people waiting an opportunity to pay more for faster delivery.
Is bitmain liquidating all of their personal L3+'s?

Not their "personal" units. They are flooding the market to destroy the upcoming competition from GMO and a couple smaller threats. They will send difficulty through the roof and profitability in the toilet so the fledgling start up GMO cannot survive. All these poor ignorant morons that are flooding into mining right now are going to get a very rude awakening. |

I was surpiresed to see the 10-day shipping table  Amazing what you can do when you got a monopoly and no one can do shit against you... I still support Bitmain because their units are getting better over time (default %) but from a customer value standpoint we are clearly scum to them haha |

I got my first couple of miners in the first batch that went out early in December and the fans max speed is only 4000rpm on them, they are quieter than the second batch I received a few weeks later. Fans speeds at max are well beyond 5200 at max

Probably can tune the fan to go even lower power / spinning rate - more quiet. Their chips are not as hot as those in S9.

Shit....I think the scrypt miner I just bought might be like my D3. I didn't get the s9 because I know they are going to upgrade it so I didn't want to be stuck with that. If you can find new coins with potential, you can mine them and hope they will go up. There are always new ICOS coming up. I'm now focusing on POS coins and ones that are a platform. I personally love Baikal miners since they have many different algorithms. I wonder if these can be changed in the future to even mine more.

Sorry you haven't gotten any feedback on this question yet - I'm also very interested in this. There's good info available online (that's doesn't look very good as far as encouragement goes at this point in at least the Litecoin blockchain's evolution), but I was hoping to hear some real, however anecdotal, evidence on at least the "luck portion" of mining a block in solo operation, by one of you guys... |

Of course are Baikal miners great for the W and Hash Power but they are pretty useless and overpriced nowadays. They can be upgraded, but I have not really heard anything about new models being in R&D :/ Same goes for S9s I can't imagine they would sell a model that is better just to beat themselves. They do not have any serious competition in sha right now |
