Hey everyone!!! I have been mining on ckpool for a few weeks with several 2-PACs and now an AntMiner S9.  During the lulls in the pool's hashrate, I've made up a pretty decent percentage of the total throughput.  That was pretty cool, but it's great to see the total hashrate becoming consistently higher!  I have another S9 coming and I'm playing with 2-PAC overclocking so there will be more hashes coming from me.  Smiley

I'm currently throwing 120gh-ish at it 24/7 and as much rental hash as I can afford  Wink ,1T for 48 hours, and more as I get some more gear.

I never should have gotten out of the game...

Can someone put DERP into a goal-value for me? I understand the basic relation to shares mined and difficulty, but not what number I should be looking for on a personal level. >1? I'm liking the love for the pool but I also want to make sure I am getting love for my wallet. I also understand it's a different payout structure and more of an investment vs a daily pay type of pool.

Ignore, page 2 explains it! DERP = payout. RTFM...

Where is the best place to rent hash from?

If you are not mining at ckpool.org, you are just doing it wrong.

Mining rig rentals gives you the most control but Nicehash is usually cheaper. Bear in mind that the prices are basically dependant on how many people are renting at the time so if demand for rentals is low the price will be cheaper so watch before you rent.

That's the percentage of what we've accumulated in shares vs "expected" shares in 1 "average" block find.

In other words, if it takes 922,724,699,725 shares to find a block, then we've accumulated ~92,094,900,000 of that many.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Are you talking about HERP and DERP? They get explained pretty well in the first two pages of this thread but the short of it is that DERP is your proposed payout level when the next block is found, provided you are above the DUST cutoff.

Does that help or is there something more specific you are asking?

While more than slightly off topic, if anyone is selling old mining gear, feel free to PM me. Anything I am able to pick up is getting pointed at this pool.

Hi everyone!

I am VERY noob having just received my first GekkoScience 2pac BM1384 stickminer about a week ago.

I am very interested to watch this pool and contribute where I can. I am providing a measly 10-15 Gh/s on average which. I know isn't much at all, until I have a better understanding of what I'm doing and can invest in something more substantial.

I'm needing help understanding my DERP though, I am currently getting a reading around 2.3e-6 (which I believe translates into 2.3x 10 to the power of negative 6) but I am not sure if this means 0.00000237 or 0.0000000000000237 (I have a feeling it's the latter, I'm expecting some serious rookie numbers here 😂)

thanks for taking the time to read, any help would be appreciated!

(2.3e-6)=(2.3*10^-6)=(2.3/1000000)=(0.00000230)

But, if you have the ASIC connected 24 hours a day, this value ("derp") will increase until "hashrate7d" stabilizes. (I suppose).

A greeting.
