Technology is not wrong, wrong only some misconduct people, everything has both good and bad, just as the existence of the Internet also led to some crimes more frequently, can we blame the Internet all responsibility?I believe bitcoin is innocent.

https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

We cannot deny the fact that in every technology or development that arise in the world there would be advantages and disadvantages. It is the same with bitcoin also wherein some uses it in the positive way and others uses it in negative way. That should not be blame only in bitcoin. The person who is doing that is those who are commited with that certain crime. Every wrong doings or results must not be blame on technology.

Yes, I think so because it has paved way to a lot of people who want to hide their money transactions. Nonetheless, while the existence of Bitcoin enable criminals to have another vehicle to promote its illegal causes, it is certainly not the end all be all. Surely criminality has sprung so many decades ago even without the existence of digital currencies and cryptocurrencies alike, and people nor governments cannot just point fingers on Bitcoin just because it added to possible hideouts or sanctuary of illegal transactions.

Criminals are active now and always will be. Criminals operate illegally within our own currency systems now. Even our white collar criminals such as banks are present in our current institutions.
Crypto doesn't make it any different. They will always find a way.
But for that fact we cannot allow governments to try regulate and control us. Why shouldn't i be allowed to send money to someone without governments or banks being able to track it?

Criminal online are increasing also as the bitcoin rises such as scammers and hackers are scattered along the world wide web and yes criminals are wiser now. I think they are trying to locate a particular account then they will do their skills on it to have accesa to it without the owners knowledge.

Cryptocurrencies were relatively quickly noticed by people wishing to make transactions outside the banking system. One of the most famous examples was the Silkroad service, where Bitcoin was used to acquire drugs, weapons and illegal services. Despite the fact that the site has not been functioning for a long time, and its founder is serving a lifetime prison sentence, he is still used as an example among opponents of cryptocurrencies.

Despite many advantages, transactions in BTC are not, however, contrary to the existing stereotypes, fully anonymous. For this reason arose altcoins focused on this aspect and to them belong just Monero or Zcash. Europol notes that transactions with their use can not be assigned to any user or address. All tokens are "hidden" by default and transaction histories are private. Also mentioned is the first case of ransomware centered around Monero - Kirk.

A very interesting example remains the darknet market of AlphaBay, which was closed by Europol in July. Last year, the successor Silkorada added to payment methods Monero and Ethereum and planned to introduce Zcash. What's more, the authorities then took a significant amount of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash and "unknown amount of Monero" to the administrator of the site. However, XMR enthusiasts have received this message very positively as evidence of the resilience of this cryptocurrency.

The number of criminality in some countries in the world is increased, but they should not blame the Bitcoin because bitcoin is very helpful for us when it comes to financials. The real problem is "some of users of bitcoin" taking advantage to do criminality and illicit activities, like illegal drugs and they use to buy guns and etc. that is the one reason why bitcoin was banned in other countries.

Yes, bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages, But we must use bitcoin in a nice way or in a positive.

People should not be surprise when cryptocurrency is used for criminal activities. It should be expected that it can be used by criminals to target people around the world. Best example of this is the ransomware wherein hackers freeze the personal computer/laptop of a person and ransoms people by sending a bitcoin thru a specific address. Since bitcoin is untraceable, the source can't be located.

Imagine that Bitcoin is a decentralized Currency and users have a freedom to use it anonymously. We can't deny the fact that it might be use in illegal activities, but every things has both advantages and disadvantages side. So we better chose the right path instead and be wise sometimes to our soroundings.

I think this opinion is only skeptics who in general have a prejudiced attitude towards bitcoins. Criminals did not need a lifeguard to conduct their criminal activities for so many centuries. Why should bitcoin increase crime?

Most probably it was and is and is to come. Bitcoin isn't not just focusing on advantages. Of course the disadvantages of bitcoin wasn't created in the first place but rather people grab the opportunities to use bitcoin as their income to supply the materials they want. But bitcoin is not with them of course bitcoin is against them the problem is they can't trace who is the criminal.

The is no doubt about the fact that criminal activities could be linked to every other currency not just bitcoin alone. And I don't agree with your submission that bitcoin has led to the increase in criminal activities or cyber crime. All criminal activities has been in existence and on the high level before the introduction of Bitcoin.

I think that some of us knows about it, that Bitcoin is used for crimes and one of these is the terrorism, I was thinking do they get their much money to buy anything that they wanted, and I thought that they were using bitcoin as one of the reason why they can do that. On the contrary we should remember as people that we should used Bitcoin safely and enlightened our mind to have a knowledge to do good things which will not effect ourselves and our country.

I wouldn't believe them, how can they use bitcoin for the criminalities? How do they do that? In what kind of criminals? I can use my bitcoin for doing good, helping my family, financial assistance and buying goods and services in different areas. I know bitcoin has a lot of advantages but there are also disadavantages using it. It helped me everything I need.

Bitcoin is still a currency that can be used in any crimes. It is a powerful material. That can be used for committing and doing any transactions. It can be used as payments, and used as an exchange for different other materials such as drugs.

The large quantity of men and women who believe that Bitcoin is anonymous, when in simple fact Bitcoin is so opposed to it - all transactions Bitcoin clear and every person in the planet can see the ongoing Bitcoin transaction. Folks could not be ready to link a particular personal id to a Bitcoin transaction immediately (this is why occasionally Bitcoin is also known as pseudo anonymous), but if they uncover it, then they can see all the transactions you have completed on the Bitcoin community. This is why Bitcoin is the incorrect way if you use it for items that are not correct
